Chapter 17

Nora went to Bo’s house. She knocked. She was very nervous. Bo answer obviously very surprised she was there.

“Nora?”
She couldn’t help herself she grabbed him and kissed him. He was shocked at first, but soon returned the kiss. Nora let go of him.
“I love you Bo, I love you so much, I’ve always loved you. Even when I thought you left me and didn’t want our child I loved you.”
Bo looked at her for a minute.

“Red, I love you too, but I am married, I..you hurt me by cheating.”
“Bo I never cheated, I never have had another man, but you.”
Bo shook his head.

“But I saw you.”
“Bo I think you were set up to see that and I think that person also kept my letters from you.”
“What? Who would do such a thing? That is cruel.”
Nora hesitated.
“Violet.”
“Violet? My wife? Oh come on Red, I know you don’t like her, but come on.”
“Bo I had a friend of mine who is a professional PI investigate her after she demanded I leave town.”
“YOU WHAT!”
“Bo please, she was scary and she was going to be around my son at some point, I needed to know.”

She pleaded with her eyes.
“Bo your wife was obsessed with you long before you knew her. Bo my friend thinks she killed your mother. He also thinks she will still have my letters, as a trophy.”
Bo paced.

“This is crazy Nora, no way, I mean what..What.”
“Bo please, do you know where she might keep something like that.”
Bo stopped and looked at Nora. Then his eyes went to a painting. Nora looked back at him.

“She has a safe behind that, I don’t know the code.”
Nora stood and removed the painting. She looked around, she saw a hammer she picked it up and began beating the safe.

“RED! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”
“Bo if I am wrong I’ll buy you a new one.”

She kept hitting it.

“Here let me.”
Bo took it and hit several times very hard. Finally the door opened. Nora looked at Bo, he reached inside. What he pulled out made her blood run cold.
