Love's Witness Chapter 9

Chapter 9
Bo spent the next two days in his hotel room praying she’d come back. She never did. Bo packed his stuff and put her stuff in his bags. He left the hotel with a broken heart.
He stood at the bus stop waiting for his bus. He saw Priscilla across the street he tried to make sure she didn’t see him, but no such luck. She walked towards him.
“Hey rich boy, I heard your slut dumped you. Told you were her flavor of the month.”
“You’ve seen her?”
“Yep, she moved out and moved in with her ex.”
“Hank?”
“That maybe his name, I don’t know. I can’t keep up with all the men she screws.”
She turned and left. Bo watched her leave. His heart hurt even more. His bus pulled up and he got on. He was leaving Chicago forever, leaving his heart there as well.

Two months of Bo’s life has gone by. He is still a miserable wreck. He quit his job and decided to move to PA to be near his brother. He felt the change may help him move on, his sister-in-law owned the local paper, so I had a job lined up.
He unpacked his new apartment. His brother came in with Bo’s niece Jess. Jess was about the only thing that could make him feel a little less pain.
“Uncle Bo!”
“Hey Jess.”
“I can’t believe you are going to be living near us!”
“I know I am happy that I can see more often now.”
“Yeah little brother, maybe you can get over that broken heart of yours.”
Bo gave him a half smile.
“I think it will take me a long time before that happens.”
“Bo, I know you’re not quite ready, but Viki has this young friend she think you’d really like. She is a student and new in town.”
“I don’t think so Clint.”
“Bo come on, it can just be a friendship thing. She’s smart, very pretty, and very funny. Not to mention she stands up to Pa.”
This caught Bo’s attention.
“Really she can handle Pa?”
“Yes she can, it is funny as hell to watch.”
“Fine, what is her name?”
“Amelia Sherb, how about I get a hold of her and you two can meet at Roadies? That a nice casual place.”
“Fine, just let me know when, but honestly Clint don’t get your hopes up.”
Clint nodded.
“So little brother what can I and Jess do for you?”
“Clint I need help moving some of my furniture and Jess I really need some help emptying this bag of candy!”
Jess giggled and ran up to get the bag then ran off to go play and eat her treasure. Bo and Clint laughed as she ran.
“We probably won’t see her for hours.”

Bo sat in a table at Roadies not sure how he was talked into this. He wasn’t ready, his heart still belonged to Nora. He never stopped thinking about her. He had no idea what Amelia even looked like, Viki said to wear a green shirt. He was lost in his own world, something caught his eyes. He turned. There was a woman standing near the bar, she had red hair just like Nora. He couldn’t do this, if he is still seeing her, he couldn’t. He started to stand as the woman turned. Bo stopped, no it couldn’t be. She walked towards him, she had a small smile and tears in her eyes.
“Bo. Hi.”
Bo couldn’t speak, he must be losing it.
“Bo, we need to leave and talk.”
He looked at her. Finally he found his voice.
“Nora?”
