Chapter 18

Bo was looking through the paper trying to see what this town had to offer as far as jobs. So far there wasn’t much that interested in him, not that he was desperate, but Nora would soon be back at work and he would get bored being home by himself.  Viki offered him a position, but he didn’t think he really wanted to work at the paper, Clint was more suited for that.

Nora came downstairs. They had just moved the bedroom stuff back upstairs and they had been trying to get all organized.

“Hey Red, get everything done.”
“I think it is habitable.”
He smiled. Nora sat next him, Bo put his arm around her and pulled her close. Nora kissed his cheek.

“How is the job search.”
“Not finding much.”
Nora made a little noise.

“What?”
Nora smiled and shrugged.

“Come on Red you’ve got that look on you face you have something big you want to share.”
“Wellll, I just got a call from my office.”
“Why they calling you? You aren’t going to work till next week.”
“They miss me.”
Bo looked at her skeptical.

“Ok, ok. They had some very interesting news to share with me.”
“What?”
“It seems our 100 year old police commissioner is FINALLY retired and I thought just maybe you might be interested? It seems like something you’d be great at and we would work together. You would catch them and I’d put them away.”
Bo smiled at her.

“Red that sounds perfect, do you think I would have a chance?”
“With your background I don’t think you would have any problems. So?”
“I will go tomorrow and apply.”
Nora kissed.

“Good, I can’t wait to work with you.” She snuggled closer. “Think of all the fun we could have behind closed doors at the station.”
Bo sucked in his breath.

“I don’t know Red, the Commissioner and ADA should be professional at all times when on duty.”
Nora smiled and ran her hand down his chest.

“Oh, so if I can in with a short skirt and happened to drop a pen. Then picked it up in front of you, you would be able to keep professionalism?”
Bo swallowed.

“Uh huh.”
Nora smiled seductively.

“Well now you just challenge me.”
She stood and left the room. Bo ran his hands through his hair. He’d never survive. Nora came back a few minutes later.

“Hey want to go out? I feel like ice cream.”
“Yeah Red. Hey would you like to have one last dinner with Clint, VIki, Pa and Renee before you start work?”
“Sure, how about Saturday?”
“I will call them see.”

“Great, I just call from the doctor she wants to see me next week.”

Bo looked up hope in his eyes.

“Is this the visit I hope it is?”
Nora wagged her eyebrows. Bo stood and yelp for joy, then pulled her to him.

“I can’t wait to make love to you again.”
Bo pulled her into a passionate kiss. Nora put her arms around him as they continued to kiss. They finally pulled apart.

“Me either. I love you so much.”
“I love you too Red. Let’s get the ice cream before we lose control.”
She laughed as he pulled her towards the door.
