Chapter 3
Nora slowly packed, she felt horrible. Part of it was the hangover, but another part was what happened between her and Bo. She had no clue what to do next. She looked up when her door opened. Clint came in without looking at her.
“Palace has rooms for us. I got one for you and Matthew.”
“Thank you.”
Clint went to leave, then stopped.
“Thank you.”
Clint went to leave, then stopped.
“How long have you and Bo been sleeping together?”
Nora shook her head.
Nora shook her head.
“We haven’t, what you walked in on..I don’t what happened, but that was the first time Bo and I have, umm, been intimate since our divorce.”
Clint still wouldn’t look at her.
Clint still wouldn’t look at her.
“I think we should stop seeing each other.”
Nora nodded.
Nora nodded.
“Me too.”
“You lied to me. You still love him.”
Nora felt a lump in her throat.
“You lied to me. You still love him.”
Nora felt a lump in her throat.
“Clint I’ve lied to myself for a decade, I tried to convince myself I don’t love your brother. I’ve been with different men, tried to move on. I have always loved him. Clint I had no choice but to try to move on. Bo shut me out and made it clear he’d never forgive or love me again. So I did my best to try to forget how much I love him, but I can’t.”
Clint looked right into her eyes.
Clint looked right into her eyes.
“Nora don’t kid yourself, Bo never stopped loving you, he just hid it with anger.”
Nora shook her head.
Nora shook her head.
“No, Clint he doesn’t love me. Last night we just drank too much, neither of realized what was really going on.”
“You two are amazing. You two have hurt so many people because of this. I am not just talking of what I walked into, but how many hearts between the two of you have you broke because you can’t let go of each other.”
Nora slammed her suitcase shut.
“You two are amazing. You two have hurt so many people because of this. I am not just talking of what I walked into, but how many hearts between the two of you have you broke because you can’t let go of each other.”
Nora slammed her suitcase shut.
“STOP IT! He doesn’t love me, this morning was nothing more than sex for him.”
Clint scoffed then left.
Clint scoffed then left.
Nora took a deep breath trying to control her anger and tears trying to escape. Clint was right, she had hurt too many people because she couldn’t let go. But he was dead wrong about Bo.
Bo didn’t love her, no matter how much she wished it was true.
