Undermined Endearment Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Every officer was working very quietly as Nora walked into the station. A handful looked up from their station and waved to her as she reached her husbands office. She softly knocked and proceed inside when she heard his voice. She saw his face brighten as he realized it was her, she felt her heart skip a beat. She may have been married to him for a long time, but he still always had that effect on her.

“RED! Oh honey I am so glad to see you!”
He got up and went to her, they meet with an intense kiss that made Nora’s toes curl. When they finally stopped Nora was left breathless.

“Wow, Buchanan.”

Bo smiled.

“I’ve been thinking about you all morning.”
Nora raised her eyebrows.

“Oh really? I can only imagine what you been thinking after that kiss.”
Bo ran his hands down her back and pulled her close whispering in her ear.

“Mostly about how you look while we make love.”
She giggled.

“You mean all sweaty with my hair a mess?”
Bo kissed her neck.

“And beautiful.”
Nora moaned as his lips and fingers worked their magic on her. She reluctantly push him away.

“Bo, I actually came here about a work issue.”
Bo groaned and let her go. Nora grabbed his tie and pulled him in for another amazing kiss.

“But I promise when we get home tonight you’ll get to see me all sweaty and messy.”
Bo smiled and kissed her back.

“You better keep that promise, because I have already worked myself up.”
She laughed and let him go.

“So Red, what is going on?”
“I have a client who is complaining about your new detective.”
“Blake? Really, what is the complaint.”
“He claims that Blake has been harassing him, now I don’t really think that is what is happening, but I really thought you should know.”
Bo sighed.

“I’ll call him in and see what is going on.”

Bo picked up the phone.

“Blake can you come to my office right now? Thanks.”
Bo looked at her and sighed.

“Red, he maybe new but he is one my best.”
“I know, that is why I came right to you.”
Bo’s office door opened, the new member of the LPD walked in, he looked nervous until he noticed Nora and then he smiled.

“Boss, you wanted to talk to me?”
“Yes, sit down Blake.”
Blake came over.

“Hey Nora.”
“Hello Blake.”

He looked between Bo and Nora.

“So what is going on?”
Bo jestered towards Nora.

“Blake I have a client who is claiming you are harassing him.”
This caught the detective off guard Nora could tell.

“I’ve only been around for 6 months, I don’t think I have had time to find someone to harass yet..Oh.”
Bo and Nora’s eyes meet.

“What is it detective?”
Blake put his head in hands and laughed.

“Is the client Don Urike?”
Nora was surprised, she thought for sure Don was making this up.

“Yes.”

“I have run into him several time in the past two weeks, but purely by chance. He likes go to track and I have a buddy who is a jockey. So I run into him there, then he lives by where my grandmother use to live and I have been over there visiting old friends.  I swear I wasn’t following him.  Don is a small time thief, I wouldn’t waste hours of my time harassing him.”
Nora smiled.

“I figured it was something like that. Thank you detective.”
“No problem. Can I go boss?”

Bo nodded and thanked him. Blake left.

“Thanks Bo, I’ll talk to Don.”
“Good idea Red, thanks for coming here first.”
She smiled and walked over to him sitting in his lap and kissing him.

“Hey I love finding any excuse to see my husband.”
Bo put his hands on her face and pulled her in for another kiss. The kiss quickly escalated into passion. Both moaned as the reluctantly pulled apart. Nora put her forehead onto his.

“Tonight.”
“It can’t get here fast enough Red.”
Nora stood and began to walk out.

“Love you commish.”
“Love you too.”
