Undesired Disentangle Chapter 10

Chapter 10
Nora smiled, the past month was heaven between her and Bo. They were healing. Their counselor suggest only seeing her once a month because of how well things were going, then there was love making. She sighed, they had reach a whole new level of love making, Nora didn’t even think that was possible, but they had. It was wonderful.
She was doing some finishing touches of the nursery. Bo had painted it and put the furniture together. Nora was putting up some decorations. She stood back and looked at it.
“Not to bad Buchanan.”
She heard the bell ring. She walked to the door, which was becoming a chore. Her body was growing and she was starting to feel the affects. She opened the door and saw Ana.
“Ana, what can I do for you.”
“Have you seen Boss man?”
“No he left about two hours ago. I thought you had his schedule.”
Ana’s eyes showed confusion.
“I am showing he should be with you.”
“Uh, no. He had a meeting. I think with the mayor. But I think it was last minute.”
“Oh. Well I can give you what I needed to give him. Especially since I think it deals with both of you.”
Ana handed her a piece of paper.
“See you Nora.”
“Bye.”
Nora opened the paper. It was from Gary. Nora collapsed on the couch as she read the report. This made no sense. She picked up the phone and called Gary.
“Hudons.”
“Gary? This is Nora Buchanan.”
“Ah, I have been waiting for your call.”
“This letter, is it true.”
“Nora, I don’t know how else to explain what happened. I know for a fact that the divorce petition was put away according to Bo’s wishes. Then all the sudden you two divorced. Nora nothing else in my office has been missing or out of place. Someone had to come and specifically took you papers and filed them. Someone wanted you two divorced.”
Nora put rubbed her temple.
“But that makes no sense. You sure that one of clerks didn’t just get egar.”
“Nora, I went without a clerk for almost a month. I would have had to do the petition myself and I know I didn’t.”
“But who would want us divorced?”
“I don’t know Nora, but if I were you and Bo. I’d look more into this, because this is disturbing.”
Nora thanked him and hung up the phone. Why would someone do this? A small sense of dread started to fill her. She closed her eyes trying to collect herself. The doorbell rang. She jumped slightly.
She answered, a couple officers on the otherside.
“No!”
Nora felt her knees start to buckle, both officers grabbed her preventing her fall.
“Nora we have to get to the hospital.”
They helped her towards their car.
“Why?”
“Bo had a seizure.”
“What? A seizure, what caused it?”
“We don’t know, he was eating lunch with mayor and started to convulse. They took him right to the hospital.”
“Is he okay?”
“Yes, but he wanted you.”
Nora started to breath again, then she smacked on of the officer.
“Ow! What was that for.”
“For scaring me, you should told me he okay first.”
The office’s face turned red.
“Oh God, I am sorry.”
She leaned back into the seat as her body began to relax.

The officers got her to the hospital and guided her to Bo’s room. She entered his room and saw him sleeping peacefully. She walked up and gently ran a hand through his hair. He opened his eyes and smiled as he saw her.
“Hey beautiful.”
She leaned down and kissed him.
“Hello. What happened Bo?”
“I am not sure, the doctor was running some tests to see if they can figure out what caused the seizure.”
“Do they think you’ll have any lasting effects?”
“No they don’t.”
Nora sighed in relief. Bo reached out and cupped her face. She looked into his eyes.
“You okay Red?”
She kissed his palm.
“Yes, you just scared me.”
“Sorry.”
The doctor walked.
“Oh, you must the wife.”
Neither corrected him, he reached out and took his hand.
“I have the results of your blood test.”
Nora could tell it wasn’t good news. She held Bo’s hand tight.
“You were poisoned.”
Nora felt shock run through her body. She looked over at Bo who seemed just as surprised.
“Poisoned? What? How?”
“If I were to guess, someone put it in your food.”
“Could this be accidental?”
“No, it had to be on purpose.”
The fear hit Nora, she squeezed Bo’s hands even tighter.
“I’ll go talk to your officers about this, I know you’ll want to start investigation.”
Bo nodded. The doctor left. Nora felt Bo hand reach for her face, he wiped away the tears on her face. She hadn’t even realized they were there.
“Hey no crying Red.”
“Bo someone tried to kill you.”
“We don’t that, it could just be a warning.”
“That doesn’t bring me comfort.”Bo pulled her to him and kissed her.
“It will be okay Red. The officers will figure this out.”
She sighed. She hope he was right, but dread grew inside her.
