Chapter 11

Nora was walking through the park enjoying the warm night. Bo had a special night prepared for the two of them and asked her to come home later so he’d have time to get everything ready. She smiled. They have come so far in these past 6 months. Now if they could only figure out who poisoned her husband, she could breath easier if they just knew.

She was brought out of her thoughts as her phone rang.

Hello?”
“Mrs. Buchanan?”
“Yes, how can I help you.”
“You need to leave your husband.”
“Excuse me?”
“If you want your husband to live, you’ll leave him.”

She looked around. Nobody was there.

“I don’t understand.”
“The poison was just a warning. You need to leave him.”

Nora felt all the air rush out of her lungs.

“What? Why?”

“Trust me when I say it is for the best.”
Nora couldn’t talk, this couldn’t be real.

“You need to leave Bo.”
“No, I can’t. I love him.”
“Mrs. Buchanan if you don’t leave him, we will kill him, then you and your child.”

Nora’s knees buckled. She fell to the ground.

“Bo won’t let me, he’ll fight.”
“Not if he thinks you are in love with the man who knocked you up.”
Nora was confused.

“What?”
“Tell your husband that you been lying to him, this child belongs to someone else.”
“He’ll still never believe that, not after all we have been through.”
“Make him believe for the sake of all your lives.”
Nora felt fear like she had never felt before.

“I don’t understand, why? What do you want?”
“Just leave him.”
Nora remain on the grass. She look at her phone, this can’t be happening.
