Chapter 15

Nora nervously sat across for Blake on their first official public date. They had stuck to staying at home for almost a month. Nora wanted to wait till the divorce went through before seen in public with another man, but Bo was fighting the divorce. She saw no end in sight, so she decided to go for it.

“Nora relax.”
She smiled.

“Sorry, just feel like everyone is staring.”
“So what. Lets just enjoy the food.”
“You’re right.”
They chatted as they ate. She enjoyed his company, he always made her feel relaxed. The check came.

“So you ready to head home Nora?”
“Yeah.”
Blake took her arm and headed out of the restaurant. Nora's heart fell into her stomach, Bo just walked in. He stopped as he saw them, she could see anger and hurt cross his face. She gripped Blake’s arm as Bo approached them.

“What is going on you two?”
“Just finishing eating with this lovely lady.”
“So you are okay with being with a married woman?”
“Stop Bo.”
“No Red, you won’t let me even try to make this up to you. I love you and I know you love me.” Bo looked over at Blake. “Remember that as your bedding her, she loves me.”
Bo walked around them after that statement. Nora felt Blake guide her out of the restaurant, her mind to busy to hear what he was saying.

They pulled up to her house, she realized she had no memory of driving there. Damn you Bo.

Blake went over to help her out of the car. She smiled and took his arm as they reached the door Blake kissed her, he went to leave, but she stopped him.  He looked at her.

“Are you sure Nora? After what happened with Bo, are you sure you want me to come inside?”
Nora just nodded and took Blake’s hand as she guided him inside.

She’d prove Bo wrong.
