Chapter 23

Nora relaxed in the tub as her husband was making dinner downstairs. She rubbed her her stomach. She was still trying to digest the fact she was have a baby. She couldn’t believe it, but knowing it was Blake’s and not Bo’s made her hurt so much. She knew this would devastate Bo. He always wanted them to have a baby.

Would he raise another man’s child? Then her mind thought of other problems. Would Blake want to be part of this baby’s life and how would that affect her and Bo? Would Bo become resentful of a child that would always remind them of the worst moment of their marriage?

“AH! Stop it Nora!”
She angrily slapped the water.

“Whoa there Red! You angry at that water?”
Nora turned. Bo was walking into the bathroom with a confused look on his face. She attempted to smile.

“No, just, umm, frustrated with what happened today.”
“Oh honey, it was an accident.”
“I know, but I hate hospitals.”
Bo kissed her.

“Think you like some company in there? I could help you forget everything.”
Nora smiled.

“I’d love some company.”
Bo quickly removed his clothes and carefully slipped in the tub behind her. Nora leaned back and settled against him. Bo hands rubbed up and down her back.

“Wow honey, you are really tense.”
Nora sighed as he worked her knots out. She felt herself drifting to sleep as he massaged her back.

Bo finished and kissed her neck.

“Feel better?”
She nodded.

“Good, lets go downstairs and eat.”
Bo got out and then helped her out. He wrapped a towel around her.

“I am going to get the food out.”
He kissed her then grabbed his clothes and headed downstairs. Nora took a deep breath. She still had no idea how she was going to bring it up.

She headed downstairs after she dressed. She entered the kitchen. Bo was standing the middle reading something. She got closer and stopped, it was her instruction sheet.

Bo looked up, shock written on his face.

“Red? Are we having a baby?”
