Chapter 25

Nora laid on the table at her OB’s. Bo was sitting in the corner of the room nervously tapping his foot as the doctor performed the exam on her and the baby.

“Everything is looking good Nora. I don’t see any indication that the fall harm it, the development is right on target. I put your due date May 30th.”
She saw Bo smile at the date.

“Maybe she’ll wait one day come on our anniversary Red.”
“She?”
Bo shrugged.
“Just a feeling.”
“Ok Nora, I’ll leave you a few instructions on how to take care of yourself. I’ll see you again in about a month.”
The doctor left. Bo walked over and helped her off the table. He kissed her forehead after she finished dress.

“I know this isn’t what either one of thought of when we dreamed of having baby, but I am excited about this baby Red.”
She took his hands.

“I know Bo. But, we need figure out what do about Blake.”
Bo let go of her hands and turned away from her.

“I know Red. I just don’t want to share you or this baby.”

Nora put a hand on his shoulder.

“I know, I don’t want to share the baby either. But Bo, you’ll never have to share me. I promise.”
“I hope so Red, I hope so.” He turned and took her into arms. “Can we just keep this ours for now? Just our secret to enjoy?”
“Yes, I want to get through the first trimester anyways, out of the woods so to speak, before we tell anyone. Plus that will give us some time to make a game plan when it comes to Blake.”

“Yeah.” Bo sighed. “Lets get out of here Red.”
Bo took her hand and lead her out. Nora followed, her hand going to her stomach, she feared what the future with this baby meant, but she knew as long as she had her husband she could deal with anything.
