Chapter 33

Nora headed back home, she had calmed down and really need to talk to Bo. As she approached the door music could be heard, she smiled and opened the door. She felt her heart flutter as she walked in the room, Bo had lit candles and put flowers all over the room. She went towards the table and giggled. He had put the chicken wings on fine china.

“Ah, my beautiful wife has returned, do you like my fancy and romantic setting.”
“I love it Bo. Thank you.”
Bo took her hand in his holding it over his heart.

“Red I don’t want you to ever think that this baby doesn’t mean the world to me, that you aren’t my heart and soul.”
“Oh Bo, I know. We just let our anger get out of control. Bo we’ve had a long hard year, we’ve both broke each other’s hearts, we need to focus on that fact that we can heal our hearts when we are together.”
Bo leaned in and slowly kissed her.

“You are so right Red. Now my lady would you like mild or hot sauce with your wings?”
“OH! HOT!”
Bo guided her towards the table, helping her into her chair. He sat next to her, they began to eat.

“Where did you go?”
“The lake, seemed like a quiet place to collect my thoughts. But I umm, ended up with some company.”
“Who?”
“Blake.”
She felt Bo’s eyes on her.

“What was he doing there?”
“I guess he has a place around there.”
“Did you talk much?”
“Actually, we did. Bo he has a request, and I am not sure how I feel about it.”
Bo put his chicken down and focused completely on her.

“What did he want?”
“He started out telling me he did want to be in the baby’s life.”
“Ok, we’ll deal with that.”
“But Bo, not in the way you think.”
“I don’t understand.”
“He said he’d like to be an uncle.”
She looked over at Bo, she could see he was confused.

“What do mean uncle?”
“I guess he feels like he’d be left out of the parenting no matter what, he wants you to be the baby’s only father they know, and for him to be a family friend, and uncle to our child.”
“So he doesn’t want to be a parent, but he still wants to be some part of the baby’s life?”
“Yes, I told him I wasn’t comfortable with lying to my child.”
Bo didn’t say anything for moment. Nora could see the thoughts flowing through his mind.

“Well, it would make things much easier for all of us. But you have a point.” He sighed “I don’t know Red, I would love for it to be just us. That this baby only knows me as dad, but you know it will come out at some point. Nothing stays hidden.”
“I know.”
Bo ran a hand through her hair.

“Honey, lets sleep on this, we’ve had a very long and hard day. No reason to make decisions right now.”

“You’re right. Lets just enjoy our wings. Then after we finish eating.” She gave him a seductive smile. “We can enjoy each other.”
Bo groaned.

“Honey, I am with you.”

She giggled and gave him a quick kiss.

“But, baby is hungry so wings have to come first.”
“Of course, priorities. Wouldn’t want baby upset while I am trying seduce her mother.”
Nora smiled.

“You still think its a girl?”
“No doubt in my mind.”
