Charade Chapter 13 and 14

Chapter 13
Nora had spent the next two weeks trying to figure out where she wanted to move. It wasn’t easy, she didn’t want to move back to Chicago. She thought maybe finding somewhere close to Llanview, so she wouldn’t lose all her clients. So far nothing was speaking to her, it wasn’t like she was in a hurry to leave.
She started to get around for another day of work. She groaned in frustration, what is with all her shirts not fitting. She was getting annoyed. She gave up and pulled out one of her LPD shirts, it was Saturday it wasn’t like she would have any clients. She grabbed her case and lunch. She was she also started have issues with food too, so she had to start bringing her lunch. She started to head out, then she stopped and dropped all her stuff.
“Oh God, I’m pregnant.”
She collapsed on the couch. She ran her hand over her face. Her mind was trying to process what she should do.
“Calm down Buchanan, you should take a test first before panicking.”
Then she panicked, where would she get a pregnancy test? Everyone in town knew her, it would take two seconds for the entire town to know she was pregnant, then the gossip would run rampant. She had to go out of town to get the pregnancy test. She ran to get her purse and keys.

An hour later she returned home with a pregnancy in hand. 10 minutes later she was sitting on the couch with a positive pregnancy test.
What should she do? Should she tell Bo? If she did, what would Lindsay do when she found out? Should she just leave town and raise the baby on her own? Her heart hurt thinking about shutting Bo of their child’s life, a child they had prayed for so long ago. But he had a baby, little Dean, he was so beautiful and innocent, would this be fair to him? What would Lindsay do to Dean if she found out Nora was carrying Bo’s kid? Would she run away with him? Or just leave Bo to raise him? Nora couldn’t see Lindsay sharing custody.
Sighing she decided the first thing she needed to do was see the doctor. She needed to make sure everything was okay first. She called her doctors making an appointment for first thing Monday morning. Which means she had all weekend to dwell on what she should do. Fantastic.

Chapter 14
“It is for sure Nora, you are pregnant. Congratulations.”
Nora smiled at bit. Over the weekend she realized that now matter what she was going to have a baby with a man she loved and a baby that she will love just as much.
“We need to talk about what you need to do next.”
Nora listened to her doctor who gave instructions on her diet. When she left she had a bag full of prenatal vitamins to take. She sighed and started to walk out.
“Nora?”
Nora turned. Her heart stopped, she wasn’t ready to see him so soon.
“Bo. Uh what are doing here?”
“Dean had a check up.”
Nora ran her hand down the baby’s cheek.
“He doing okay?”
“Yeah, he gained weight and is doing just fine.”
“Good, uh. Where is Lindsay.”
Bo rolled his eyes.
“She is too busy to take care of her son.”
Nora was shocked.
“Really? After all her crying about doing all things for her kids.”
“That my feeling too, but you know, I prefer this. I think it is better for all if she is less involved.”
Nora kissed the baby's forehead.
“You want to hold him?”
“I’d love too.”
She took Dean and cuddled him. She couldn’t believe in nine months she be holding her and Bo’s baby just like this. She looked over at Bo when she felt his hand run through her hair. She smiled at him.
“Bo, can we go somewhere private and talk?”
Bo look surprised, they hadn’t been alone or even really talked since he got married.
“Yeah, umm, where should we go?”
“How about home?”
Bo looked hesitant.
“I don’t know Red? I don’t think I can trust myself with you alone there.”
“Bo please we really need to talk without being interrupted.”
He nodded.
“I’ll meet you there.”
“Thank you.”

Thirty minutes later, Nora sat on the couch as Bo put Dean down for nap. He walked over to her and sat next to her. They kissed gently.
“I’ve missed you Red.”
“I’ve missed you too. Bo I got something to tell you, it is going to change our lives forever.”
Bo looked concerned.
“Are you okay Red?”
“Bo.” She sighed. “Bo I am pregnant.”
Bo eyes grew large. He didn’t say anything.
“Bo, we are having a baby.”
Bo stood up and ran his hands through his hair.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, that is why I was at the doctors. She says everything looks good, I am where I should be.”
He stood on the other side of the room not looking at her.
“Bo, what are you thinking?”
“I am thinking this everything I want and I am tied to a witch would doesn’t seem to have any interest in the child we have. God Nora how did our lives get so messy.”
Nora looked down at her hands, at the rings she wore for him.
“Because I made a stupid and horrible mistake, that’s how.”
Bo shook his head.
“No, you only did that because you were scared and desperate. I was the one who left you in the first place. I should have never left you. I didn’t want to take you with me, you were my light in the world and I didn’t want you to be taken into my darkness Red. I am so sorry for leaving you that night. I am sorry my actions made you think you weren’t important and that you felt the only way you could get me back was by having a child. I am so sorry.” He started cry.  Nora walked over and hugged him to her. He took her into his arms. “God Red, what we going to do?”
Nora held him, she didn’t have any answers. He kissed the top of her head. They began to kiss her, it soon became very passionate. Nora gasped and moaned as his hands found their way under her shirt. They both jumped when Dean’s cries filled the room.
“Uh, he is hungry.”
Bo picked the infant up then found the bottle in the bag.
“Here let me warm it for him.”
Bo smiled and handed her the bottle. He tried to calm the baby as she headed to the kitchen. A few minute later she returned. Dean was very upset at that point.
“Oh, Bo let me have him.”
Bo gently handed her the baby. She smiled down at him and gave him the bottle. Soon he quieted.
“There you go sweetie. You are such a sweet baby aren’t you?”
Bo walked over and kissed her cheek.
“We’ll figure this out Red.”
She gave him a small smile then turned her attention back to the baby. He was already starting to close his eyes as he ate.
