Chapter 15

In the next week Bo and Dean had come over everyday. Nora was enjoying the time with Bo and Dean, but neither she or Bo had come up with a good way of dealing with Lindsay that wouldn’t cause harm to Dean. Neither of them trusted her to think of the baby first.

“Bo, is there a way you could just give her a ton of money during the divorce? If she had money she probably leave you and Dean without looking back.”
“I’ve been thinking about that, but Red. If she catches any wift that I am leaving her for you, she’d hold Dean over my head just for spite.”
Nora sighed and cuddled the baby to her.

“Bo, I think i know the answer and you aren’t going to like it.”
“What?”
“I need to leave town. Once I leave, you need to wait a good month before filing. If I am gone she won’t think it is because of me.”
“You’re right, I don’t like it.”
“Bo think about it, it maybe the only way.”
He sat there watching her and Dean. The he sighed.

“Ok, when do we start this?”
“Tomorrow, I was already thinking of leaving town before I found out I was pregnant. I have a place and a job I can go to for the next few months.”
Bo kissed her.

“If you are going to be out my life for the next few months I need to say goodbye properly.”

Nora felt her heart beating faster.

“Bo, we said no more after you got married.”
Bo gently took Dean out of her arms and put him in his seat. Then he came over and kissed her.

“Red, if we are going months without seeing each other, months without letting me see you body change.” He placed his hand on her flat stomach. “I want one last memory of us making love.”
She smiled and ran her hands down his face.

“Make love to me Bo.”
Bo gently pushed her down on the couch. They made love for the rest of the afternoon.

Nora finished changing Dean as Bo finished dressing. She put the baby in his car seat. She kissed his little head.

“I am going to miss you too little guy. Take good care of your daddy. Soon the three of us will be a family, then you will have a little brother or sister to play with. You like that?”

Bo came over to them and kissed her head.

“We need to go.”
Nora nodded. He kissed her.

“Red, take pictures. I want to see you pregnant, send them to Pa’s house. Lindsay doesn’t step foot in there.”
“I will. I am already missing you. Be careful. Bo, follow the plan.”
He kissed her one last time.

“I will, love you.”
“Love you too.”
Bo took Dean and headed out. Nora waved from her porch as the car left. Her heart felt heavy, she hoped this worked.
