Charade Chapter 16

Chapter 16

It had been a three months since Nora and Bo had made their plans to get rid of Lindsay. Neither had made much contact, it was safer that way. But about once a week she get a letter from Asa, with stories and picture. Dean was growing fast. She had managed to stay busy with her new work, most of her clients from Llanview followed her there. Her intern and secretary were also able to follow her.  Her pregnancy was going very well, her new doctor was happy with how she was progressing, she was just starting to show.  But she missed Bo so much. In a couple of weeks he should be asking for a divorce and joint custody. She prayed Lindsay would give it to him. But she wasn’t hopeful, she knew it could go on for months. She was just hoping it would be done before the baby came.

The day had been a long one and Nora kicked her shoes off. She collapsed on the couch.

“Oh kid, if you making feel like this already I can’t imagine what is going to be like when I am full term.”
She rubbed her sore feet. The doorbell rang, she groaned, but stood to get it. She opened the door.
“BO!”
She pulled him in for a hug. He hugged her even tighter. She pulled backed and kissed his face, then turned to the baby he was holding and did the same. The baby giggled. She smiled at him and took him from his father.

“What are you two doing here?”
“Lindsay is out of town for the week, so I thought it would be a good time for a jail break.”
She smiled and guided them into the house. Bo got behind her and pulled her to him kissing her neck. Nora moaned.

“I’ve missed you so much.”
“I missed you too, how long can you two stay?”
“We need to leave in the morning.”
Bo’s hand rubbed her belly, she could feel him smile.

“You are starting to show Red.”
“Yes I am. Why don’t I order us some food, we can eat, then when Dean falls asleep, why don’t you and I have some fun.”
Bo kissed her ear.

“That sounds like an amazing plan.”

She laughed and walked towards the kitchen with Dean in her arms. Bo went to the car to get all Dean’s stuff. When she got back Bo had set up the pack and play. She sat on the couch.

“We can put him in there after we eat. I just want to hold this handsome young man a little longer.”
Bo sighed.

“Being outdone by my own son.”
Nora kissed Dean’s cheek.

“Yes you are, but I will make it up to you much later.”
Bo growled then sat next to her.

“So, how are things going.”
Bo shook his head.

“She has become unbearable, I won’t be surprised if she ask for the divorce first. Pretty sure she has been cheating on me.”
Nora looked over at him shocked.

“What?”
Bo shrugged.

“Well I am not attentive enough, I want to take care of our son and she wants to leave him with whoever. I won’t do that. So she gets pissed, I often don’t see her till much later. But I can’t say much, I haven’t been faithful.” Nora felt a little shame, but must have read her thoughts. “Don’t do that Red, you have have nothing to be ashamed about.”
“I guess.”
He kissed her.

“It will be over soon. I don’t think she contest the custody, she shows zero interest in Dean. If I give enough money she’ll sign her rights away without a second thought.”
Nora nodded. The baby started to fuss.

“Oh he is getting hungry, I’ll go make his bottle.”
Just as Bo returned the food for them arrived. Bo feed Dean while Nora got the food around. The baby fell asleep soon after the bottle. They ate their dinner and talked some more. She really had missed this so much.

They cleaned up, Bo came behind her wrapping his arms around her and kissing her neck.

“Why don’t you show me your bedroom.”
“Why Mr. Buchanan are you trying to take advantage of me?”
He laughed and kissed her again, Nora moaned.

“Yes I am.”
She turned and took his hand, smiling seductively.

“Then please let me show you my room.”
