Chapter 19

Nora was getting bored, bed rest wasn’t something she was good at. The nurses were at least very nice and took good care of her, but she wanted Bo. Seeing him for those couple of hours just made her ache for him more. Her phone rang.

“Yeah.”
“Boss we have a big problem.”
“What is it Jonathan?”
“Nora we keep getting calls and reporters over here asking about you and Bo.”
Her heart stopped, it had to be that nurse who saw them.

“What are they asking?”
“If you two are having an affair and if you are carrying his child.”
“What are telling them?”
“That I can’t speak for you.”
“Good answer. Just try to keep them at bay.”
Nora hung up and called Asa.

“Asa! We have press calling my office asking if Bo is the baby’s father.”
“I know they been coming around here too. They must of caught wind of his trip. Honey this is going to get really ugly.”
Nora quietly answered. “I know, please keep him safe.”
“I will, I will keep you safe too. Don’t worry.”

Nora hung up. She didn’t like this one bit, but there was nothing she could do.

The next day Nora check the internet. Her and Bo’s pictures were plastered all over the gossip rags. Luckily all the pictures of them showing affection were when they were married, she was thankful that nobody seemed to have anything current. She read a few of the articles. Of course Lindsay was on there spouting about Nora stealing her husband, but she got a good laugh when one of the interviewers pointed out that Lindsay had gone after Bo when he was first married to Nora.

She heard her nurse coming upstairs, she put her laptop down.

“Marsha?”
“No.”
Her heart leapt at the voice.

“BO?!”
Her bedroom door opened, Bo came in with a squirming Dean in his arms. She cried.

“What are doing here?”
Bo walked over and kissed her passionately. She took Dean when he stopped. The baby snuggled down on her chest. Bo ran his hand down Deans back then moved them to her face.

“I figured the secret was out, why spend one more day away from you?”

She smiled and pulled him back for a kiss. The nuzzled each other, she felt Dean fall asleep on her.

“Bo what about the divorce.”
“I decided to call her bluff, I left with my son. Told her to call me when she made her mind what she wants. I think I’ll hear from her soon.” He gave a wicked smile.

“Booooo, what did you do?”
He laughed.
“Well, Pa did what you asked. We found out who her umm lover was.”
Nora gently sat up careful not to wake the baby.

“Who?”
“Michael Davis.”
Nora felt her mouth open wide.

“Nooo!”
Bo nodded.

“As in the asshole high power CEO? Oh did she step into it.”
“Yeah, Pa is giving her the bad new right now.”

Nora laughed, which caused Dean to wake a bit. She ran her hands down his back, he snuggled again and fell right back to sleep. She kissed his tiny head. Bo’s phone rang. He walked out he room and answered. Nora looked down at the baby.

“Hey big guy, you okay with me being your mommy?” She kissed him again.

Bo came in with a huge smile on his face.

“That was Pa, guess what?”
“Lindsay is settling.”
“Yep, she is also signing away all rights to Dean.”
Nora smiled, then she felt extremely sad.

“What is wrong Red? We can be together, we can be a family.”
She held Dean tight.

“I just, I can’t believe Lindsay would just walk away from this perfect little guy.”

Bo walked over and ran his hands down his son’s back.

“I know, I even gave her an option for shared custody. She didn’t even want to think about it. But it is going to be okay Red. He has me and you to love him, not to mention a big sister and this little one.”
Bo hands went to her stomach. Nora covered his hands with hers.

“I know, but it is still so sad for him.” She kissed the baby again. “Don’t worry buddy you’ll be my son and I love you so much.”

Bo kissed her then smiled.

“I love our family Red.”
She started to cry.

“Me too.”
