Charade Chapter 21

Chapter 21
Bo scheduled an interview with the Banner, this news spread fast. It seemed to keep the cameras away for now. Nora was pretty miserable, the doctor told her she be going into labor any day. She just wanted this baby out, she wanted to be able to walk around again hold her new baby and play with Dean properly. Bo walked downstairs.
“He is out for the night.”
She nodded and tried to get comfortable. He walked over, lifted her up and sat behind and began to massage her back. She sighed and began to relax in his arms. He kissed her neck and wrapped his arms around her.
“Are you ready for tomorrow?”
“No, I hate the idea of have to air our lives for the public.”
“Keep it basic Bo, we are together, you are divorced, yes the baby is yours and I have adopted Dean.”
He sighed and shook his head.
“What?”
“It is just amazes me that anyone gives a damn about our lives.”
“Bo you father is a billionaire, you are the police commissioner. You and I were considered the perfect couple for years. I don’t think you realized, but our divorce and circumstances around it were truly shocking for the community. So of course our reconciliation and a child conceived in an affair would be the talk of the town.”
Bo laughed.
“Perfect couple? Really?”
Nora turned and looked him in disbelief.
“Bo, you really didn’t know how, uh, popular we were? Bo when we broke up I had random people come up to me telling how heartbroken they were about us. It was so weird.”
Bo blinked a couple of time.
“I didn’t have anyone do that to me.”
She laughed.
“That is because for the first 6 months after our divorce you were a complete bastard to everyone who go near you.”
“I was not!”
“Uh, yes were. Not just to me, which I got. But I saw you bark at everyone, Hank, officers, JESS! You were unbearable, but I have a feeling that Lindsay rubbed off you for a little bit.”
He squirmed slightly.
“Well, okay maybe I was a bit of an ass. But it only because I didn’t have my beautiful wife next me everyday. I was so miserable without you Red, I missed you so much. I wake up and reach for you and find Lindsay, talk about starting my day off in the wrong way.”
Nora played with his fingers.
“I missed you too.”
He kissed her hair.
“I am so glad we found our way back to each other. I love you. Bo I am so sorry for what I did. I promise you that night I went to Sam. It was horrible. I cried the whole time, my heart broke, but I was desperate.”
Bo’s hands went rubbed her shoulders again.
“Red, I won’t lie. It still hurts to think about that, but I know you did it because you were scared and you loved me. What matters is now is we are together now. And I don’t know about you, but I am so excited to meet this little one and for the four of to really begin our lives together.”
“I love you so much Bo.”
“I love you too.”
She kissed him and he kissed her back. He gently lifted her and stood.
“I am going to get some dinner.”
He bent down and kissed her. He headed to the kitchen. Nora tried to get comfortable on the couch. She gasped just as she leaned back. She felt a contraction. She took a deep breath as the contraction faded. Bo walked back in with a his hands full of food.
“Bo call Asa to watch Dean.”
He sat the food down and looked at her confused.
“Why?”
“Because I just felt a contraction.”
He stood there for a moment totally dumbfounded.
“BO!”
He shook his head.
“Sorry, uh. Let me call Pa and get Dean ready. Your case is in the closet right?”
“Yes, Bo have one the security guys help you.”
“Good idea.”
He ran outside and call the names of the security guys. A moment later the security guy came into the house.
“Ben I need you to help. Nora is in labor, can you help pack the car?”
“Of course sir.”
Bo and Ben headed upstairs. Ben came down a moment later with all her stuff and Deans. Bo followed behind a minute later with a still sleeping Dean in his car seat. He put the car seat down and help her up. He took her arm and picked up the car seat. The walked over the door, he stopped. He smiled then kissed her.
