Chapter 12

Bo was able to wheel himself to Nora’s a couple of days later. She was sitting up eating her jello.

“Hey beautiful how you feeling.”

“Bad, but lucky. How about you handsome, you are looking good.”
“Why thank you, the doctor thinks I can leave tomorrow.”
“Oh Bo, that is wonderful.”

Bo maneuvered his chair right by her bed.

“So you think I could fit in that bed without hurting either one of us?”
Nora smiled and moved over slowly, Bo stood and gently laid next to her, putting his arms around. They both sighed.

“That is better.”
Bo kissed her hair.

“I missed putting my arms around you.”
“I have missed it too.”
“Bo where are you going when you get out.”
“Um, actually I haven't a clue I hadn’t thought that far.”
“Why not my place.”
“You sure?”
“Yes, I want you home when I get out.”
He smiled.

“I think that is a great idea.”

Bo snuggled closer to her. He felt her breathing slow and get even as she fell asleep. Bo nuzzled her hair, he felt his own eyes grow heavy. Bo felt someone shaking his body. He opened his eyes to his doctor.

“Hey doc.”
“Hey Bo, what is going on here?”
Bo looked down at Nora who was still asleep.
“Oh, we were just talking then we fell asleep.”
“Sure, well I need you to get off the bed so I can check on Nora.”
Bo gently moved Nora, she woke as he did, she try to pull him to her again.

“Red, the doctor is here.”
That seemed to wake her totally. She opened her eyes totally then blushed. Bo got off the bed and sat in his chair. The doctor started to exam Nora.

“Everything is looking good, in fact I think we should be able to get home in two days.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, as long as everything stays looking good.”

Bo smiled as she left.

“Sounds like we will both be out of prison soon.”

“It sure does.”
“I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed, with you beside me.”
Bo laughed.

“Oh you think we’ll be in the same bed?”
“I know it, you can’t resist me.”
“No I can’t, but it’s not like either of us will be in any shape to do anything.”
Nora laughed then winced.

“No I think that will take awhile.”

“Better get back to my bed before doc sends Nurse Ratched for me.”
Nora giggled.

“Bye.”
“Bye Red.”
