Annual Affair

This is something new I am trying. Hope it isn’t too hard to follow. It starts with the Cornerstone scene. I am really fudging the dates in this, but it is FF so who cares.

Chapter 1- Mature

Nora held the cornerstone half her ex-husband just handed her. She smiled at him. She knew she still loved him, but he’d never forgive her. She tried to talk but her voice got caught in her throat. Bo was looking at her like he had when they were married. She felt weak, she dropped the stone as Bo pulled her body to him. Their lips crashed together, Nora moaned the months of not being able to touch exploded in passion.

Bo moved her body towards the bed. The bed they had spent hours making love while married. The next minute was a blur as they ripped their clothing off. Bo lifted her up and placed her on the bed. Nora gasped as he lowered his body on hers.

She bit his shoulder as his body was pushing into her very aroused body. Her eyes closed, it had been so long. He felt amazing. Bo slowly rocked into her as they kissed and caressed each others body. She held him tight as her body climbed higher all their problems disappeared as they made love.

Bo whispered to her as they made love, words they made her feel loved and precious. Her heart opened and let the love fill her. Her body arched she was so close. Bo kissed down her neck his body faltering as his hips began to thrust harder and faster.

Both cried out each other names as they reach the peak of their dance. They both collapsed into a sweaty sensual breathless pile on their bed. Nora ran her hand through his hair, he continued to kiss her neck and collarbone. He finally lifted his head, their lips meeting again.

Bo lifted his body slightly off hers, their eyes meet. Nora felt loved again, but she knew. She knew they weren’t going to be together. She cupped his face.

“Bo.”

He tilted his head kissing her palm.
“Oh Red, what did we just do?”

Chapter 2

Nora felt like crying when his body left hers. Bo sat on the side of the bed and put his head in his hands.

“Oh God Red.”
She reached out and stroked his back.

“It is okay Bo, I understand. We” She swallowed hard trying to prevent her tears “I love you, but there is too much between us.”
Bo sighed and nodded. He looked at her, his own eyes filled with tears.

“I love you too Red, but we can’t be together. You’re with the father of your son and I am with Lindsay.”
“And you still haven’t forgiven me.”
Bo looked out the window.

“I want to, I really do, but I can’t. You crushed me Red, my heart is still raw. I don’t think I’ll ever completely recover from that. You were so part of me, my heart was yours. I know I will never love anyone like I loved you Red.” He looked back at her. “Because my heart will always remain with you, I will never be able to give myself to anyone like I gave myself to you.”
Her tears began to roll down her cheeks.

“I know, I have the same problem. I am trying, but it will never happen.”
Bo nodded. He stood and went to dress. Nora remained on the bed. Neither of them talked to lost in their own thoughts. Nora watched him stop and look around the bedroom. He picked up the pieces of the corner stone. He put on the table and put back together.“Red, what if I decide to keep the house.”
She felt a pain rush through her.

“You would live here with someone else in our house?”
He quickly turned.

“NO! I’d never ever do that, this is ours and I could never.”
She felt confused.

“I don’t understand. Why wouldn’t you sell it?”
“Because it is part of us and I have missed us.”
“So it would just sit empty?”
Bo sat back on the bed. He leaned down and kissed her.

“It would be filled with our love.” He sighed. “Red this is going to sound strange. But what if I keep it for us?”
“Bo I thought we both agreed there is too much between us for us to get back together.”
“I know, but what if once a year it because ours again.”
“What?”
Bo took her hand and wove his fingers with hers.

“What if on our wedding anniversary we come back here, just the two of us. On that day we become us again. We become Bo and Nora again. For that day we forget the hurt and everyone else in our lives. We come to our house and make love, be what we should.”

Nora was speechless.

“Bo are you sure? What if you meet someone and want to get married?”
Bo kissed her hand.

“On June 1st we are married to each other, no one else matters.”
Nora looked into his eyes, he was serious about this. She sat up and leaned against the headboard. Could she do this? Could she be Bo’s lover and wife one day a years. She looked at his eyes she felt herself get lost. She loved this man with all her heart. If she only got him one day a year, she’d take it.

“Okay. Once a year we will come here and be man and wife again.”
Bo smiled and leaned down he kissed her gently. He put his forehead against hers.

“I love you Red. I will see you here on June 1st.”
“Love you too.”
He kissed her one last time and stood and left.

Nora remain in their bed crying. June 1st she’d have him again.

 

Chapter 3

Nora sat in their bedroom waiting. Today is their 5th anniversary. She got there at midnight, she wasn’t even sure he would show up. He was angry with her for stopping his wedding to Lindsay. She felt awful for hurting him again, but she knew he need to know the truth.

So now she sat in the house they shared when married. Wondering if the man she loved would keep his promise he had made moments after making love to her. She sighed, he probably wasn’t going to come.

She nearly jumped a mile when a hand touched her shoulder. She turned and saw his face, it was soft and smiling. Her heart melted, he had been so hard towards her in the past couple of months. He was here and he looked happy and in love.

He pulled her to him and kissed her. He pulled back putting his forehead against hers.

“Hello Mrs. Buchanan. Sorry I am late.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck as they kissed again.

“I’ll let it go this time Buchanan.”
Bo moved his hands to her waist as they continued to kiss. He began to sway their bodies. Nora sighed and put her head the crook of his neck. They soon began dancing around their room. They didn’t need music, they just danced. All the rest of world faded as he held her. She forgot everything else. Only this man and the love they shared mattered. He pulled her to him tight as they danced. She felt him inhale deep and then he kissed her hair.

“God I love you Red.”
She sighed her heart floating.

Bo slowly stopped dancing. He cupped her face and kissed her. She felt desire run through her body. He swept her off her feet and carried her to their bed, gently laying her the bed. He stood up and began to remove his shirt. As he joined her on the bed. Their lips meet as he moved over her. His hands moving to her shirt to remove it. She put her hands over his and pulled away.

He looked into her eyes with a questioning look.

“Red?”
“I just need you to know I love you too and I miss you so much.”
He smiled and leaned in to kiss her again.

Chapter 4

Nora stretched as she woke up. She smiled when remembered the night before. They spent the wee hours of morning making love. She could feel him looking at her. She opened her eyes, her heart stopped. He was smiling down at her with loving eyes. He moved towards her and kissed her deeply. She gasped as her breath left her body. He pulled away, her heart was pounding.

“Wow.”
“Morning Red.”
“That was quite a wake up Mr. Buchanan.”
He kissed her again. Then he got out of bed Nora felt herself get hot as she watched his nude body. He smiled at her.

“You okay there Red.”
She sat up and got off the bed and walked up to him and ran her hands down his chest. He looked towards the bathroom.

“Want to take a shower Red?”
She nuzzled him.

“As long as I have some company.”
“Oh you’ll definitely have some company.”

He grabbed her hand and led her towards their bathroom.

She laughed at him as he tried to get the TV to work. He hit on top and suddenly it started to work. He smiled and moved to the couch. He put his arms around her shoulders and pulled her close to him. She cuddled close, placing her head against his chest. She listened to his heart beating. She felt slight twinge of pain, she missed this so much. She looked up at clock. 6 p.m. She only had six more hours with him. She wrapped her arms around him and held him tight. She felt him do the same to her. Her eyes remained on the TV, but her mind was elsewhere.

She heard a knock. She sat up and looked at Bo, who had a huge grin plastered on his face.

He got off the couch and ran to the door. She tried to see who was there, but he had the door only slightly opened.

He finally turned around with several different bags and boxes in his hands. She couldn’t help but laugh. She got up and helped him bring the food over. She opened the bag.
“Bo Buchanan you romantic.”She looked up at him as she pulled out the foil covered food. “Chilli dogs!”
He sat down next to her.

“Nothing but the best for my anniversary.”
She leaned over and kissed him. She began to eat the chili dog. Bo put his arm around her again, she leaned back into him as they ate.
It felt so normal.

As they finished they both groaned.

“When the last time you ate that much?”
“It has been a very long time.”
Nora moved her body next to his and rubbed his stomach.

“Oh Red. I am so stuffed. Give me an hour. In an hour I am going to make love to you again.”
She kissed his jaw.

“You better mister.”
He groaned again and laid back pulling her on top of him.

“Oh that is better.”
She continued to rub his stomach. He moaned.

“That is helping Red.”

“Good.” She kissed him. “Love you.”
He stroked her hair.

“Love you.”
She sighed and put her head against his chest again as the watched the rest of the movie.

Chapter 5

She felt pain deep in her heart. Today was her 6th wedding anniversary, only it wasn’t. She felt like crying. While Bo had moved on she was still very much in love. She cursed Lindsay Rappaport for putting her through this.

Why did that woman do this to her? Drug her and making her lose her memories. She had no memories of losing her husband or her actions that caused him to leave. She still had a hard time believing it happened. They were so perfect together, she couldn’t imagine ever being able to move on.

She went to walk upstairs to get ready for bed. She stopped when she heard a knock. Who would be at her house after midnight? She looked over and saw Bo. Her heart stopped, but she quickly went to the door and opened it for him.

“Bo?”
“Hey Red. Can I come in?”
“Yeah.”
He walked in. She could see he was nervous.

“What is it Bo?”
“Red I need you to come with me.”
“Why?”
He put his hand out to her.

“Please honey come with me. I need to show you.”

She was shocked and confused, but took his hand. He gave her small smile and guided her out of the house and to his car.

Neither of them spoke as he drove. She kept her gaze on him, she paid no attention to where he was going. When he finally stopped she looked out. The air escaped her body, it was their house.

Bo got out the car and went to her door. He took her hand and guided her into the house.

What was this? Why did he bring her here on their wedding anniversary?
When he opened the door she started the cry, it was lit with candles and the fireplace was lit. He pulled her into the living room and sat her on the couch.

“Bo? What is this?”
He sighed.

“I was sitting here earlier tonight waiting for you to come. Then I realized you wouldn’t come because you wouldn’t remember.” He shook his head. “I swear we will get Lindsay for taking those memories Red.”
She still felt so confused.

“Bo why would I come to our house?”
“Because it what we do on our anniversary. Every year since our break up we come back to our house and leave the world on the outside. It is just us, nobody else. We forget the pain. We share our love in our home.”
Nora’s mouth fell opened, that was the last thing she expected him to say.

“I don’t understand. If we do this anniversary why are we apart?”
Bo looked away.

“Because there is still so much keeping us apart Red, people, feelings. One night we can do, but everyday. I can’t do it.”
Nora wiped her tears away.

“So you will make love to me once a year, but you can’t be with me and love me?”
Bo shook his head.

“I love you Red. I always will.”
“Then why can’t you be with me?”
“Because it hurts to much. Matthew is a constant reminder of what happened, I don’t want him to feel my resentment. I love him, but I am so afraid he’ll know I feel pain every time I see him, he doesn’t deserve that. You don’t deserve that.”

“There is no way you could look past that? Ever?”
“Maybe one day, but it still hurts so much. But one day a year I can put away the pain. One day a year I can have you in my arms and live the life we should be in our house.”
He looked up at her. She could see the love. She was in his arms a moment later. Kissing him with all the love she had been hiding for the past several months. She had him for one day, one day for her heart and soul to feel whole again. 

Chapter 6

Nora giggled as he kissed her. They had just made love again. He kissed her shoulders and moved off her. She sighed as he pulled her to him. She cuddled against him, she ran her hands through his chest hair. He kissed the top of her head again.

“What you thinking Red?”
She kissed his chest.

“That I feel like myself for the first time since Todd returned me. I have the man I love more than life in my arms and I don’t want to let him go.”
She nuzzled his chest.

“You know I feel the same Red. I feel that every year when we meet.”
She started to cry.

“Then why? Why do we let each other go?”
Bo stroked her hair kissing the top of her head.

“Because we have too, maybe one day Red.”

“I don’t love him Bo. I don’t love Sam.”
He ran his hands down her arms.

“I know. I have known for a long time you don’t love him.”
“Then why did I stay with him?”
“Matthew. You wanted him to have the mom and dad. Sam was too blind to realize the truth, he still is.”
“Do you love her?”
He sighed.

“No I don’t. She is there for me to forget. I don’t even really like her.”
Nora lifted her head up and looked at him.

“What?”
He shrugged.

“She’s boring and the fact she was once married to McIver, what does that say about her?”
Nora smiled.

“That she likes good looking men.”
Bo scowled.

“You telling me you think he is good looking?”
She laughed.

“Bo I’d have to be blind not to think he is very attractive.” She kissed his chest again as she moved over his body.
Bo groaned when she straddled him.

“Red you are the most beautiful women in the world.”
She leaned down and kissed him.

“And you are the sexiest man I have ever meet.”
He grabbed her hips and rotated his hips. She gasped sitting up straighter.

“Sexier than McIver?”
She dragged her nails across his hot skin.

“Much much sexier.”
Bo growled and flipped them over.

“That is what I want to hear. Love you.”
“Love you.”
Bo leaned down kissing her hard as his body began to make love to her.

Chapter 7

Nora opened the door and gently closed it behind her. She put everything down and looked around the house.  It was June 1st, their 7th wedding anniversary. She looked up towards the stairs, she heard him coming down.

She smiled when he appeared. He walked to her and kissed her. Then he walked over to where the corner of the room she had just been.
“You brought her?”

“She is only 3 months old, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her with anyone yet.”
He smiled and picked up the infant.

“She is getting big too fast.”
“Yes she is.”
Bo sat down on the couch holding the baby. He reached over to her. She took his hand and sat down next to him. He kissed her.

“Matthew was excited to be spending his first weekend with his grandpa.”
“Asa was just as excited. Of course I had to listen to him lecture me about how we should be together and raise our children together.”
She sighed as their daughter’s little hands reached for her father’s face. He leaned down kissing her little hands.

“She is so beautiful Red.”
Nora felt that pang she felt every year, the one that tells her he’ll never be hers again.

“So Asa is still upset about everything?”
Bo sighed.

“He wants us together. So does Matthew.”
Nora stood up and looked out the window.

“He doesn’t understand how his parents could make another baby and not be together. How do you explain that to a child?”

“I can’t even explain it to myself Red. We have our children, yet we can’t be together.”
Nora looked at her hands.

“I love you Bo.”
“I love you too Red. And I love Matthew and this little one.”

“How are things with Gabby?”
He sighed.

“Bad, she was upset when she found about our little Rory (yeah I was watching Gilmore Girls when writing this), but Matthew being mine seem to be the topper. We haven’t been doing well.”

Nora turned she saw her daughter yawn, her eyes closing. Nora smiled, she knew she was feeling safe and loved in her father’s arms. He looked up at her a minuted later.

“She’s out.”
“Good, now why don’t we put her in her seat and head upstairs and enjoy our bed.”
Bo groaned and quickly put Rory in her car seat.

She giggled as he pulled her upstairs. June 1st was the best day of the year.

Chapter 8

Nora clung to him as her body shuddered around him. She felt him nuzzle her face. She smiled up at him.

“You okay Red.”
She pulled his face to her kissing him.

“I am more than okay, that was amazing.”

Bo’s hand wandered up and down her leg kissing her slowly. She ran her hands across his back. He felt so wonderful. She looked over to the corner of the room, their daughter was still asleep. She pulled back running her thumbs across his lips. Their eyes meet. She felt so loved.

“Bo I think it’s time.”
He nuzzled her.

“Time? For what?”
She took a deep breath.

“For us to either be together all the time or stop the once a year meeting.”
Nora felt him stop moving. He got off of her and leaned against the headboard.

“Where is coming from?”
Nora looked at their daughter.

“Bo we have two children. We love each other so much. I know I hurt you and I hate myself for hurting you. For our children’s sake it needs to be all or nothing. I don’t want to hurt them. Matthew is already so confused about the baby. Just think of the questions he’ll have when he finds out how babies are made. Rory is going to have the same questions. And what if it happens again? What if I get pregnant again? Rory was an accident, she happened because I lost my memories therefore didn’t know I needed to be on birth control on June 1st.”

She took a deep breath and look over at him. He was frowning, his eyes on Rory.

“So you don’t want this anymore?”
“I want more. The past four years this has been my favorite day of the year. It is the one day of the year I feel like myself. I love you so much Bo and I know you are still in pain over Sam. But I deserve more, our children deserve more.”
Bo didn’t talk he got out of the bed and walked to Rory and picked her up. He rocked her as he went over to the window. He cuddled and kissed her. Nora could see their daughter cuddle down in her fathers strong arms.

The fear she had been pushing back was fighting its way to the surface the longer he said nothing.

“Bo?”
He looked at her and sighed.

“I love you Red. You know I do.” His body continued to sway their daughter “I don’t want to lose you.”
She smiled.

“I don’t want to lose you either.”
“But.” Her heart fell and the tears threatened to escape “I don’t know if I can do the all or nothing. Red sometimes when I see you in town I want to run to you and other times I feel my heart being ripped out. I am still in so much pain over Sam, even after all these years.” Nora sniffed as the tears fell. “Our children do deserve more. I am just so afraid they’ll know, they’ll know I can’t let go of the pain. That I still feel like I can’t trust you with my heart.”
Bo walked over to the car seat and place Rory back in the seat. He walked over to her and took her hands kissing them gently.

“I am sorry Red, but I can’t.”
She began to sob. Bo pulled her to him and held her tight.

“I am sorry Red, I am so sorry. I love you.”

Bo began to let her go. She grabbed him. He kissed her.

“Don’t go.”
“I think it is for the best Red.” He kissed her again. He grabbed his clothes and kissed their daughter one last time. He stopped by the door. “I wish it could be different Red. I really do. I will always love you.”
He looked at her one last time and left.

Nora’s heart broke in half as she sobbed in their bed.

Chapter 9

Nora walked into the house. It was June 1st, their 8th wedding anniversary. She told herself she wasn’t going to come, but in the end she couldn’t stay away. Asa took both kids for the night. He gave her a knowing look as she did.

“Don’t give up on him honey, he’ll come back to you completely some day.”
She sighed, the house was quiet. He wasn’t there. She had hoped he would, especially since he and Gabby had officially broke it off a few months ago.

Of course after what happened last year he probably thinks she wouldn’t come.  She shook her head.

“All or nothing.”
He chose nothing. She felt the tears starting again. It broke her heart that he didn’t choose her. She walked upstairs, she was going to sleep in their bed, she wanted to feel him and that was the best way to do that.

She began to remove her clothes as she opened the door. She jumped when she realized someone else was in the room.

“Bo?”
She took a deep breath trying to calm herself. He was sitting on the edge of the bed looking at the carpet. She walked over to him and ran her hands through his hair.

“I didn’t think you’d come, after last year.”
He still hadn’t looked up.
“Bo what is it?”
He looked up at her, she gasped at the tears that shone in his eyes. She wiped them away.

“I love you Red. I miss you desperately everyday. Whenever I have the kids I just keep wishing you with us and that we were raising them together. You were right last year when you said it had to be all or nothing. I just made the wrong choice.”
Nora body stilled. He took her hands and put them against his heart.

“You make this beat Red, you are what makes me happy and calm. You and our children. I am sorry I left last year. I need you. I was wrong. I forgive you and I want you and I to raise our children together. Please tell me I am not too late, please Red.”

Nora couldn’t speak so she kissed him. He quickly deepened the kiss and pulled her to him. Nora slowly moved out of the kiss.

“So I take that means I am not too late?”
She laughed and kissed him again.

“No, no you are not. I love you Bo and I want us to be together and be a family.”
He smiled and sighed.

“Thank God, where are the kids?”
“Your father has them.”
“I want to get them in the morning and move into here. What do you say? The four of us under the room, living our lives together and happy.”
“Yes, yes I want that so much.”

Bo pushed her onto the bed.

“Good, but first I plan on making love to you for the rest of the night.”

She pulled him down on top of her. The quickly got lost in each others arms.

Chapter-10

Nora woke up first. She reached out and cupped his face. He was dead to the world. She gave him a small kiss and got out of bed. She looked out into the world. The sun was coming up, she felt herself smile. She was going to have her life back.  She looked back at him, he look so peaceful. She had always dreamed about them raising their children together, never truly believing it would happen. Then last night. Last night everything changed. He wanted them to be together. He forgave her.

She felt all the horrible guilt and fear lifting out of her. She almost felt free. Then she looked around the room. Their room always. She walked out of the room and down the hallway. She walked into Matthew’s old room. She blinked a couple of time, not sure if what she was seeing was right. She walked in and looked around. All the baby stuff was gone, instead replaced by a child’s bed and toys a 4 year old would use. She quickly went down the hall and into the guest room. Her mouth fell, it had been turned into a nursery. Painted a soft yellow with small baby toys and all of Matthew’s baby furniture. Including the crib he had put together when she first got pregnant. She went to the closet and opened it. Rory’s sized closed filled it.

“You like it?”
Nora jumped at his voice, she hadn’t heard him come in. She looked at him amazed.

“When did you do this?”
He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her.

“Past couple of months”
He sighed and kissed her neck.

“I am sorry. Red. Last year when you asked for more I got scared.”
“I know Bo.”
“When Gabby and I finally just broke it off, I knew what I wanted. I knew why her and I didn’t work. You. I wanted you, I wanted us, I wanted our family. And I wanted it under this roof, so I had a designer come in and get the kids rooms ready, praying I wasn’t too late.”
She turned in his arms.

“You weren’t. The rooms are beautiful Bo. The kids will love them.” She leaned and kissed him.

He smiled at her.

“What?”
“You need to check out the other guest room.”
Nora looked across the hall. She let go of him and headed that way. She opened the door. She smiled. It was another kids room.

“What is this Buchanan?”
He shrugged.

“Just in case we decide to add another one.”
“Hmm, I’ll have to think about that. Maybe after Rory turns two.”
Bo sighed and pulled her to him. Kissing her slowly.

“I can deal with that. For now lets go back to our room, make love, then go get the kids and show them their new rooms.”
She felt her heart flutter. This had to be a dream.

“I love you Bo.”
“Me too Red.”

Chapter 11

Nora looked at herself in the mirror. She smiled at herself.

“He’ll be speechless.”
She opened the bathroom door. He was turning the bed down, he looked up at her. His mouth gaped opened. He stood up and walked over to her. He kissed her then moved his lips down her neck till the meet the straps of her nighty.

“Wow. Mrs. Buchanan that isn’t something a married women should wear.”
She wrapped her arms around his shoulders pulling him to her. Their lips meet his again. They made their way to the bed. He ran his hands up and down her body. He stopped and pulled away from her.

“I need to tell how perfect today was Red, a perfect wedding. Happy 9th anniversary.”
She kissed him.

“I am so happy we got remarried on our anniversary.”
“Me too, it is my favorite day of the year. Not only because it is when we got married, but because it the day we made a baby, it is the day that healed my heart.”
“Oh Bo.”
“Did I mention I love that we are having our honeymoon at our house.”
She giggled.

“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
She sighed as his hands pushed her nighty down her body. His lips wandered down her neck. Her hands went to his hair. He lifted his lips off her body.

“You are beautiful Red.”
She caressed his face.

“You are beautiful my husband.” She looked over at the bed and smile. “Now why don’t you take me to our bed and make love me your wife.”
Bo groaned and pushed her towards the bed.

Nora breathed deeply her body tingling as it recovered from their lovemaking. Bo continued to kiss her sweaty body. He nuzzled her.

“That was perfect.”
“Yes it was.”

He kissed her one last time before he rolled off her. She sat up and started to get out of the bed. He grabbed her arm.

“Woah where you going little lady?”
She smiled and kissed him.

“I have a gift to give you.”
His eyebrows went up.

“I believe you just gave a gift, a wonderful and amazing gift.”
“It was wonderful and amazing, but I have something else to get you.”
He let her go. She went to the closet where she dug out the gift she had been hiding from him for a week. She walked over to him again and handed him the tiny package.

He smiled and began opening when she sat back down on the bed. She saw Bo’s eyebrows furrow when he saw the contents.

“A fortune cookie?”
She just smiled. He looked at her as he opened the cookie and found the fortune.

“A new source of joy will come in your life in December.”
He he looked at her.

“Red it’s June, what in December could.” He suddenly stopped talking. His eyes got big and looked at her stomach. “Red are you having another baby?”
“Yes I am.”
Bo face broke out into a huge smile. Then she saw tears form. She reached out and wiped his face.

“Bo?”
He shook his head.

“It’s just, we are finally getting it right. I guess third time's a charm. I am so happy Red.”
“I am too. I am so excited.”
He pulled her to him and kissed her seductively.

“As excited as I am for the new baby. I think I want to spend the rest of my honeymoon focused on pleasuring my gorgeous bride.”
Nora groaned and moved her body over his.

“I love that plan. Now Mr. Buchanan why don’t you put that cookie down a do just that.”
Bo tossed the cookie to the side and grabbed her hips.

“No problem Mrs. Buchanan.”
