Illusions

Chapter 1

Nora Buchanan was relaxing at home. Her husband was undercover out of the country, she was missing him terribly, but she was enjoying the quietness of the house today. Work had been exceptionally stressful and she was worried about Rachel, she had been acting so strange. She and Hank had been trying to talk to her and figure out the problem with no luck. At this point Nora was ready to let RJ help, which was scary.  A knock on the door brought Nora out of her thoughts.

She looked at the door debating if she should get up and get it. They knocked again, she sighed and got up.  She opened the door to an young attractive man, who appeared very nervous.

“Can I help you?”
“I am looking for Bo Buchanan.”
“He is on a business trip.”
The young man looked a bit distraught.

“Are you sure I can’t help you with anything.”
“Um, I don’t know. Is he going to be home soon?”
“I don’t think so.”
The young man shuffled his feet obviously trying to make a decision. Finally he looked at her.

“I am Drew, I doubt Bo has talked about me to you, but he is my dad.”
Nora felt shock run through her body she was stunned silent. Drew must of took that as a bad sign.

“I’m sorry, I will just leave.”
Nora got out of her stupor and grabbed his arm.

“No, Drew please come in, you just caught me off guard.”
Drew hesitantly walked in the house.

“I take it he never told you about me?”
“NO! I am mean, yes, he talks about you. He told me all about you and your mom, I just never thought I’d meet you. I don’t know if you know this, but he has spent a great deal of time and money trying to find you.”
Drew looked a little shocked.

“Really?”
Nora smiled, guiding him inside.

“Yes, Bo will be so happy that you are here. Unfortunately he is some place where we can’t contact him, but I know he’ll want to rush home as soon as he finds out.”

Drew smiled at that.

“So, uh. I guess I better introduce myself. I am Nora, I guess I am your step mother.”
“Nice to meet you Nora.”
Nora directed him towards the couch.

“When did you get into town?”
“About a week ago, I have been trying to find the courage to introduce myself to my father.”
Nora smiled.

“Your father will be so happy. Are going to be in town long?”
“Yeah, if things went good I was planning on staying.”
“Really! Oh that is wonderful.” Then Nora stopped a bit. “Uh, Drew? What about you mom? Does she know you’re here?”
“My mom died about 3 months ago.”
Nora felt her heart drop.

“I am sorry, Bo will be sad to hear that.”

“Will he?”
Nora looked up at him shocked.

“Of course he will, no matter what Bo would never want your mother harmed.”
Drew nodded.

“So Drew where are staying?

“I been staying at the Minute Man.”
Nora cringed.

“You know if you want to, you can stay here for awhile. My daughter just moved out, so we have an extra room.”
Drew seemed hesitant.

“If you are sure?”
“Yes, stay. I’ll be out of your way most of the time.”
“Ok, I will stay here for a bit.”

“Great. I will show you your room, then why don’t we go out and get some food and get your stuff.”
“Sure.”
Nora smiled and showed Drew his new room.

Chapter 2

As the next two weeks went by Nora enjoyed having Drew around. Even though Bo hadn’t raised him she saw Bo in Drew, which she found very comforting.  She had introduced Drew to the entire family. All were very accepting, she tried to limit the amount of time Drew and Asa saw each other. Until Bo got home she didn’t want to chance Asa pulling Drew in the wrong direction. She was pleasantly surprised on how well Rachel and Drew got along. In fact she thought Drew seemed to be a good influence on her daughter. Rachel seemed less snippy with everyone.

Tonight she and Drew both were staying in, Nora ordered pizza and they watched movies.

“I don’t know Nora, you sure you want to watch this? This doesn’t seem like your type of movie.”
Nora smiled.

“I let you choose the movie, I will watch it.”
“Ok.”
Drew started and sat next to Nora. They watched to movie, which Nora actually found pretty funny. She ate the junk food, then she felt Drew looking at her.

“Drew? What is it?”
“Oh, nothing. Just thinkin, I know what my dad sees in you.”
Nora felt herself blush.

“Umm, thank you.”

“I’ve been wanting to ask you something Nora.”
“Sure, what is it.”
“Do you really think dad will be happy to see me?”
“Of honey, yes he will be very happy, just like I am. It is nice to have another child around.”
Drew laughed.

“I am a grown up child.”
Nora smiled.

“Yes, but Rachel is all grown and I still view her as my baby.”

“I have no doubt, but I doubt you see me that way.”
Nora looked at him.

“No, I don’t, but that doesn’t change the fact that you are Bo’s son, and I will love you just for that reason. But in these past two weeks I’ve gotten to know you. You are a great man and I am happy we have you in our lives now, just wish we could have always had you in our lives.”

Drew nodded.

“Nora, I really like you too, but I have to admit I don’t think I can ever view you as a mother.”
“Oh no, I mean I don’t want to you to think I am trying to take place of you mother in anyway.”
“I don’t think that at all! That isn’t what I meant.”
“Oh, then what do mean?”
Drew turned red.

“I just, well I think you are extremely attractive, in a way it would be really wrong to view you as my mother.”
Nora felt her mouth hang open, she never expected that.

“Oh, I see.”
Nora got up, suddenly feeling awkward around Drew.

“I think I should go to bed.”
“Ok, umm I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah.”
Nora practically ran upstairs. She didn’t know what to think of what just happened. She sighed and got ready for bed. She would deal with it later.

Chapter 3- Mature

Nora woke to hands caressing her body. She sighed at the feeling as they reached under her shirt and started to move up. Then her mind woke up. She jerked away from the hands and hit the person touching her.

“OW! Honey what they hell?”
Nora felt her pulse start to slow when she heard the voice. She reached over and turned on the lamp.

“Bo?”

Bo was holding his eyes.

“Who else would be in the bedroom with you touching you like that?”
She sighed with relief.

“Oh Bo!”
She launched herself into him. Bo pulled her into a tight hug kissing her neck.

“Oh Red, I’ve missed you so much.”
Nora kissed all over his face.

“I’ve missed you to Bo. Are you here to stay?”
Bo kissed her and sighed and shook his head.

“I was able to get out for a few days, but I have to go back.”

Nora felt her heart sink.

“Oh.”

“I am sorry Red, but lets enjoy our next few days.”
Nora nodded as he pulled her even closer, they kissed slowly. Bo hands wandered down her body reaching for her shirt again. This time she let him remove it, Nora removed his. She sighed as their naked bodies pressed together. She missed him, missed his smell, his touch, it was wonderful to have it back, even if it was temporary. Bo bent them slowly down on the bed. Nora felt the pillow hit her head. She adjusted her body allowing him to placed his body on hers. Bo pressed against her body, she reached between them intent on removing his pants, but Bo pushed her hands away. He pressed his body down on hers as his and grabbed her legs lifting them around his waist. Nora moaned as he began to rotate his hips into her. He kissed her neck and ran his and up and down her thighs as he rotated harder. Nora rotated against him, their breathing growing ragged. Nora could feel how hard he was even with pants hiding him from her. She wanted him so bad, she wanted to feel and see him.

“Bo please.”
Bo lifted himself up, Nora’s hand reached between them eagerly removing his pants. She pushed him on the bed and straddled him as she finished her task. She ran her hands down his chest until she neared his lower half. She sighed at the sight.

“My my handsome you’ve been hiding something from me.”
Bo laughed, then groaned as her hands began to slide up and down his manhood. She loved how he felt in her hands. She speed up her ministrations his hips began to move on their own. Nora bent down and kissed him, Bo grabbed her shoulders and brought her closer to him as they kissed. His hips moving faster as she continued to stroke him.  

“Red, baby.” His voice was breathless. “Stop, need you to stop.”
Nora smiled and slowly stopped her hands. She kissed his chest as he tried to gain control. Nora moved her hands to his chest using them to give her leverage to raise her body above his. She moved her opening right above his straining erection. Bo’s breathing increased again, she lowered herself enough to where he was nudging her entrance. Both moan, Bo reached between them stroking her wet folds with his finger first then with his hardness. Nora gasped sitting up a bit straighter. Bo hands went to her hips, their eyes meet as he gently pushed her onto his hard body. Their joining created an amazing sensation in her body, it always did. It always thrilled her. Finally she was completely impaled onto his body. Bo held her onto him for a minute. Nora started to rotate her hips into him. Bo groaned and loosed his grip on her, allowing her to rock up and down on him. Nora threw her head back as she bounced harder on him as his hands caressed her breast.  Both began to moan each others name as their lovemaking began to reach its climax. One of Bo’s hands moved down her body and found her small clit that he began to massage. Nora body couldn’t hold back anymore, she went over the edge. She screamed his name as he continued to thrust into her spasming body. Bo flipped them over as she came down from her orgasm. He thrust into her satisfied body with all his strength for a few more minutes, he finally grabbed her hips tight thrusted hard one last time as he reached his climax. He collapsed onto her body. Both of them were sweaty, but satisfied and very happy. Bo kissed and nuzzled her as he reached for the covers.

There was a sudden loud noise and the door came flying open. Nora screamed, Bo jumped up ready to fight. Nora then saw who was flying in, with a baseball bat in hand. Drew.

“STOP! BOTH OF YOU!”
Bo stopped and Drew held baseball bat.

“You ok Nora I heard you scream?”
“Yes, Drew this is Bo. Bo this is your son Drew.”

 

Chapter 4

Father and son looked at each for a second then both realized what was happening. Bo realized he wasn’t wearing anything and jumped back into bed with Nora. Nora laughed and looked at Drew whose face was red and looking anywhere but towards her and Bo.

“Um, I’ll just go back to my room we can talk in the morning.”
“That is probably for the best. Night Drew.”
“Night.”

Drew turned around without looking at them and left. Nora looked at Bo would looked stunned. Nora moved closer to him and kissed the crook of his neck.

“Hey.”
Bo looked at her she ran her hands down his face.

“When did this happen?”
“About two weeks ago. He has been staying in Rachel’s old room.”
“I have so many questions I don’t even know where to start.”
“Why don’t I just tell what I know?”
Bo nodded. Nora and Bo sat there for the next half hour as Nora told him everything Drew that she knew.

“Becky Lee is dead? Are you sure?”
“I think Drew would know Bo, I am sorry.”
“For what Red?”
“Oh Bo, I know you have your issues with Becky Lee, but I know she was once very special to you and it has to hurt a bit to know she died.”
“Yeah it does, I just wish she would have trusted me enough to let me into Drew’s life.”

Nora put her head on his shoulder.

“I know, but you have a chance now Bo. He is here now, I don’t think he really knows what he wants, but I think he is ready to know you and that is a start.”

Bo kissed the top of her head.

“You are right Red, I can finally know my son.” Bo got quiet for a minute. Then she heard him whisper. “Wow, my son.”
Nora smiled and kissed him. He looked at her and smiled.

“I’ve missed you so much Red.”
“I’ve missed you too. Do you know how much longer this case will take? I hate not waking up with you!”

Bo pulled into a hug then leaned back taking her with him. His hands soft ran up and down her arms.

“I know I ache for you so much. I hate it too. I think this case is close to be done, I am hoping within the next month I’ll be home and back into your arms permanently.”

Nora snuggled into his arms listening to his heart.
“Red?”
“Hmm?”
“I been thinking, maybe we should try for a family after this is all done with.”
Nora sat up and looked him in the eyes.

“Are you serious Bo?”
“Yes, I know we have never truly broached the subject, but I would love to raise a child with you.” Then he looked away. Nora put her hand on his face and made her look at him.

“And?”
“And I guess seeing Drew made me realize I want to have the chance to raise a child from birth.”

Nora was trying to gather her thoughts before answering.

“Well, I think we should talk about it after you get back home permanently. I need to think about this.”
She could see Bo’s disappointment. Nora nuzzled his face.

“Hey, I am not saying no. I just think we need to take about for more than two seconds when we are not naked and in afterglow.”
Bo smiled brightly.

“Hmm, I guess your right. After All I know I can’t think straight after I make love to you, so I can imagine how addled you must feel.”
Nora laughed and kissed him. They spent the rest of the night making love to each other.

Chapter 5

Nora woke up with Bo’s arms tightly wrapped around her. She smiled and snuggled closer causing Bo to wake. Bo looked at her then smiled.

“Hello beautiful.”
Nora kissed him then got up. She put a robe on and looked over at him, he had a goofy grin on his face.

“What you thinking there gorgeous?”
“How lucky I am to have an amazing wife who is as smart as she is sexy.”
Nora smiled then got back on the bed next to him. He put his hands on the sides of her face pulling her into a very passionate kiss. Bo started open her robe. Nora push back slowly and pushed her robe back up.

“Hey where you going?”
“I am starving Bo. We need to eat.”
He sighed and nodded. Nora waited by the door as he put on a pair of pants. She took his hand and they headed downstairs together.

They sat on the couch snuggled close as they ate their breakfast. Nora heard feet heading down the stairs. She look behind them and saw a semi awake Drew appear.

“Hey sleepy head.”
“Hey.”
Nora could feel Bo tense.

“There are donuts on the counter in the kitchen.”
“K.”
Drew shuffled towards the kitchen. Nora nudged Bo.

“You okay?”
“I am nervous Red, what do I even say?”
“Just asked basics at first, you two just need to just get to know each other.”
Nora kissed him she felt his slowly relax as they kissed. The kitchen door opened and Drew came back into the room. He stopped when he saw them kissing.

“Um, I think I’ll eat upstairs.”
“No! Drew stay here, you and your father need to talk. Besides I need to make a few calls.”
Nora got up as Drew sat down. Both men were looking at her with pleading eyes. She rolled hers.

“Oh you two are grown men, ok I’ll give you a topic to start out on. Pizza, is it really that awesome?”
Both men laughed. She smiled then headed back upstairs. Nora worked upstairs for the next 30 minutes. She looked up from her pile when the door opened. She smiled as her husband came in.

“I didn’t hear any yelling, I take that as a good sign.”
Bo laughed.

“We just did small talk, he seems like a great kid.”
“Man.”
“Huh?”
“Baby, you son is a man not a kid.”
Bo put his hand on his heart.

“Ouch, right in age.”
She laughed, she got up and walked over to him.

“How long are you home?”
“For about 36 more hours.”
Nora felt her heart grow heavy. Bo must of sensed it. He lifted her chin.
“Hey, I’ll be home forever in a month hopefully then we can spend time with our family. You, me, Rachel, and Drew.” Bo kissed her. “And maybe add to the family?”

She smiled.

“We’ll talk about it.”

“I know, for right now lets enjoy these next 36 hours together.”
Nora smiled pulling him close.

“Well, I haven’t showered yet.”
Bo groaned as she removed her robe and headed to bathroom. She turned towards him smiling.

“You coming handsome.”
Bo was naked a pushing her into the bathroom in seconds. 

Chapter 6

Nora felt like crying as her hours with Bo was come close to being over. Bo kissed her as they just finished the latest round of lovemaking. Nora felt tears escaping.

“Hey don’t cry baby, I love you and I’ll be home again before you know it.”

She nodded trying to control the tears. Bo gently kissed her face.

“I already miss you Bo.”
They nuzzled their nose together.

“I know, I miss you so much it hurts. But I need to finish this.”
She nodded. Bo kissed her again.

They made love one last time gently and slowly. Nora felt them both try to memorizing everything, the looks, the touches, the feelings. Both hoping the memories would help them through the long separation.

An hour later both of them were dressed and downstairs as Bo was leaving. Bo shook Drew’s hand.

“Drew I’ll be home in a month I hope we can really get to know each other then.”
Drew nodded.

“Me too.”
Bo looked towards Nora.

“You promise to watch after Nora for me? She is my world.”
Nora felt a fresh set of tears starting.

“Of course.”
Bo walked over to Nora and took her hand. They walked out to the taxi together. Bo put his case in the taxi. He turned to Nora running his hand through her hair.

“I love you Red, I am going to miss beyond anything I can describe.”
Nora felt a small sob release, she didn’t want him to go.

“I love you too. PLEASE be safe, I can’t live without you.”
Bo kissed her passionately for several minutes. The Taxi honked. Bo pulled out the kiss and put his forehead on her.

“Love you.”
“Love you.”
Bo got in the Taxi and left. Nora stood in the yard until she could not longer see the taxi. Her heart feeling heavy and sad, she missed him already.

Chapter 7

Nora tried to get back to her normal schedule as well as she could. Drew had asked her for help in finding a job. She had made a few calls and got him a few interviews, which what he was doing today. Nora heard a knock on her door.

“Come in.”
Rachel came in.

“Hey mom.”
“Hey baby, what you doing here?”
“I was wondering if I could talk to you about Drew.”
Nora looked at her confused.

“What about him?
“Well, umm. He and I have gotten close in the past few weeks.”
Nora smiled.

“Close huh?”

Rachel looked down shyly.

“Honey, he a good guy I think you should go for it.”
“Really, you don’t think it’s weird? We are step brother and sister.”
“Technically, but it isn’t like you were raise together. You two just meet a month ago and even if you hadn’t, you were all grown up by the time Bo and I married. It isn’t strange honey.”
Rachel smiled.

“Good, because I really like him.”
Nora smiled.

“Me too. But that maybe I can see his father's face in him sometimes.”
Rachel smiled

“You mean the face they both make when they are concentrating”
Nora laughed harder than she had in a very long time.

“Yes, my favorite is the face they both make when they know they’ve been caught.”

Rachel continued to laugh as she nodded. Nora finally took a deep breath and stopped laughing.

“Thank you Rachel.”
“For what Mom?”
“For that laugh, I been so sad without Bo, I needed that.”
“Have you heard from him?”
“No, but he told me he wouldn’t be able too, but doesn't change the fact that miss him so much.”
“Hopefully he’ll be home soon.”

Nora nodded. Rachel stood.

“Well I think I am going to go see Drew before I lose my nerve.”
Nora smiled.

“Let me know.”
“I will.”
Rachel left, Nora felt the ache in heart returned. She wasn’t sure how she could last two more weeks with him. She sighed and went back to her work.

 

Chapter 8

Nora sat across the table from her daughter and stepson, both were adorable with the promise of their new found relationship. Nora was loving it because it meant she saw more Rachel.  Drew also seemed to move his attentions away from Nora, which she was relieved with. She was happy to have both of them in her life, but the absence of Bo was wearing her down. She just need her husband back.

The evening was winding down as they decided to watch a movie together. The doorbell rang. Nora stood and went to answer it.
“Hank! Come in we were just watching a movie.”
As Hank walked in Nora saw his expression.

“Hank? What is it.”
“Nora, we need to talk.”
Nora felt the blood drain out her face as her heart stopped.

“Bo?”
Rachel and Drew came over.

“Dad? What are doing here?”
Hank’s face never left Nora’s.

“No, Hank.”
“Baby I am sorry, but.”
Nora felt her knees buckle. Drew and Hank grabbed her holding her up. They moved her to the couch.

“Daddy what is going on?”
“Bo was killed.”
Nora heard her daughter cry, but she couldn’t do anything. The walls were caving around her, she couldn't think or say anything. Hank wrapped his large arms around her kissing her head.

“Baby I am so sorry. I am here for you not matter what?”
Nora world was narrowing suddenly it went black.

Chapter 9

Nora opened her eyes, she looked around in her strange setting. Then she realized she was in the hospital. Everything came back to her. She started to sob. How could this be happening? She’d never be able to make it. The door opened. Asa walked in. She started to cry harder. Asa didn’t say a word he just took into his arms and held her. Her sobs finally slowed.

“How will I live without him?”
“You will, I am not going to lie. It is going to be hard. But you still have Rachel and all the Buchanans. We are here to help you. We all love you honey.”
Nora leaned against Asa hoping to gain some of his strength.

“Why don’t I get the doctor? He wanted to talk to you.”
Nora nodded. Asa gently let go of her and left the room. Nora laid back down trying not to think. There was a knock on the door.

“Come in.”
The doctor came in and smiled at her.

“Mrs. Buchanan. I am Doctor Smith. I just wanted to talk to you before we release you.”
Nora nodded.

“I know you had a shock and that's why you came in today.”
Nora just nodded not trusting her voice.

“I want you to see your doctor after this, many people need help after a shock like this, you should seek help from your family doctor.”
“Ok.”

“I am going to sign your release.”
The doctor left again the door opened Rachel came in and hugged her mother.

“Mom I am going to move in with your for awhile, if it okay.”

“Yes, I would like that.”

The nurse came in with Nora’s release orders. Soon Rachel and Drew were driving Nora back home. Nora walked into the house feeling emptiness inside. Rachel and Drew followed her in, both obviously not sure what to do.

“Mom you hungry? I can order pizza?”
“Yeah that is fine.”
Rachel went over to the phone. Drew came behind Nora and wrapped his arms around her.

“We’ll get you through this Nora I promise.”

Nora nodded she moved out of his hug and walked upstairs. She walked into her bedroom. She could smell him. She leaned against the door and slide down. She couldn’t do this.

About an hour later Nora heard a light knock.

“Mom? Pizza is here.”

Nora took a deep breath and stood. She opened the door. Rachel took her hand squeezing it.

“It’s pepperoni!”
Nora smiled a bit. Rachel lead her downstairs.

They sat together eating silence nobody really sure what to say. Nora was too heartbroken to talk anyways. As they were finished she finally talked.
“Bo wanted to have a baby.”

“What mom?”
“Bo, last time he was here he wanted us to start a family when he got home.”
“Oh mom.”
Nora started to cry again. Rachel came over hugging her as she cried. 

Chapter 10

Two days later they held a memorial service for Bo. Nora was in a daze the entire time. So many people came up to her with condolences, many hugging her and trying to offer helping words. By the end she didn’t want anyone to touch ever again. She was very thankful for her family, Rachel and Asa were especially helpful for her. Drew was withdrawn, she could tell he wasn’t sure where he belong in this.  After the service they went to Viki’s who offered dinner.

“Mom you need to eat.”

Nora looked at the plate Rachel was offering.

“I am not hungry honey.”

“Mom you haven’t eaten all day. I don’t want you to get sick. Please?”
Nora looked into her daughter’s eyes they were pleading with her. She sighed and nodded. Rachel smiled with relief. Nora took the plate and ate what was on it. Asa came over with a bourbon and gave it to her.

“You need a few after today.”
Nora didn’t argue she drank it, then a few more. It didn’t take long for her to feel the affects.

“Mom you ready to go home.”
“No, but we should.”
Rachel took her hands. Nora stumbled a bit.

“Sorry honey, Asa gave me some very strong Bourbon.”

“It’s okay mom, you need it.”
Drew came over and helped Nora to the car.

They got home. Nora was really surprised how much the bourbon was hitting her. Rachel and Drew helped her upstairs. They started to guide her to her and Bo’s bedroom.

“No, I can’t sleep in there.”
Rachel nodded and guided her to the guest room. Rachel helped her change then put her in bed. Kissing her mother’s forehead. Nora fell asleep right away.

Nora woke up crying. Her heart was in such pain. She felt a hand run down her arm. She looked over.

“Bo?”
“Hey.”
“How?
“Just need to see you.”
Nora was confused then she realized this must be a dream.

“I miss you. Why did you leave me?”
Bo didn’t say anything he ran his hand down her body then kissed her. Nora gasped. Bo pushed her down on the bed. She pulled back running her hands down his face. This dream felt so real.

“I love you.”
He kissed her again and began undressing her. Her dream soon became erotic, intense, and so vivid. She made love to her husband in her dreams, she felt her heart break realizing this would be the only place where she ever could again. 

Chapter 11

Nora woke up, she felt horrible. Between the hangover and the heartbreak she felt from the vivid dream, she had never felt worse. Nora heard a knock. She mumbled for Rachel to come in. Rachel walked in, smiling slightly, then Nora noticed her face change to shock then anger.

“Rach? What?”
“HOW COULD YOU!?”
Nora was confused.

“What?”
Nora then felt movement next her. Her heart stopped she felt horror wash over her. She slowly turned. Drew was lying next to her totally nude and obviously just waking up. Nora grabbed her sheet and got off the bed as fast as she could. That was a mistake her stomach lurch. She covered her mouth after emptying her stomach. She looked over at her daughter who still had a look of horror. She looked over a Drew who looked guilty.

“How? I dreamed of Bo.” Nora felt her stomach turned again. “No, you let me think you were your father didn’t you? Why would you do that?”
Drew didn’t say a word, he began to dress. Rachel went over to Nora and helped her put a robe on. Nora felt her tears start.

“I thought he was Bo Rachel I really did.”
“I believe you mom.”
Nora finished with her robe Rachel walked over to Drew and slugged him hard.

“How could you do this? To me? To my mom? To your dead father?”
Drew laughed.

“My father was nothing to me. I came to town to meet him. Instead I meet his wife, who did nothing but praise a man who was absent in her life. So decided I wanted to destroy him, starting with his wife. I am extremely attracted you Nora, but I think you know that. That’s why you were so happy when I started to date Rachel.”
Rachel look over at Nora.

“Is this true?”
Nora nodded. Rachel put her hands up.

“Why didn’t you just tell me?”
“Because I wanted Bo to know Drew. I figured if he dated you he would move away from me and you'd be happy.”
“God Mom. We’ll talk about his later.”
Nora nodded and looked at Drew.

“Your father’s dead, you can’t destroy his life, why did you do this?”
“He maybe dead, but sleeping with his precious wife destroys his memory for you. Now you will feel guilty about sleeping with your dead husband’s son, ruining all good memories of the one person in the world who loved him most.”
Nora felt her heart crush. He was right all memories of Bo were tainted. She collapsed on the floor. She was numb. Rachel reaction was just as strong but in the opposite direction. She hit Drew again even harder, Nora saw Drew’s head twist with the force.

“You better leave now, you better leave this town. Because I once Asa and my father hear what you did to my mother they’ll kill you.”
Drew looked scared. He scrambled up and ran out of the room. Soon the front door slammed shut. Nora was still stunned she couldn’t move. Rachel came to her and hugged her tight.

“It’s okay mom, I’m here for you always.”
Nora began to cry. She not only lost her husband, but now her beautiful loving memories will always be filled with guilt.

“Mom, don’t listen to him. You have NOTHING to feel guilty about. You thought you were making love to your husband in a dream. Bo would not want you to feel that way. Remember him, remember his love and remember as you should. Precious.”
Nora held her daughter tight. Praying that she would one day be able to do that. 

Chapter 12

Nora lived the next two weeks of her life like a zombie. Rachel had told both Hank and Asa what had happened with Drew. Both men promised to keep it quiet, but both were furious threatening to do all sorts of things to Drew if he showed his face again.

Nora sat on the bed her and Bo shared run her hands on the comforter.  Rachel came in the room.

“Get dressed mom, we are going to the doctors.”
“Doctors? Why?”
“Why? Mom I know it’s only been two weeks, but you are in horrible shape. I am sure much of that has to do with Drew, but you need help. You don’t eat, you exhausted, and you mood swing violently. Please come to the doctors with me.”
Nora looked over at Rachel who looked determined and worried. She nodded.

“Good, we are leaving in 10 minutes.”
Rachel left, Nora looked over at her closet. She had yet to walk in it, Rachel had been getting her clothes. She gingerly walked in there. Bo’s clothes hanging on one side. Nora stayed on her side, she grabbed her clothes fast and walked out. She began to breath again once she got out. She dressed and meet Rachel downstairs.

20 minutes later Nora was sitting on a table waiting for the doctor. He walked in.

“Hello Mrs. Buchanan.”
She nodded.

“I am sorry about your husband. Your daughter wanted me to talk you about options.”
Nora nodded.

“We are running some test that I should get soon. We may just need to add vitamins. But we need to make sure you are eating. Rachel says you don’t eat.”
“I haven’t felt hungry.”

“I understand, but you need to make sure you keep up your strength, that means food.”

“Ok. I will try.”
“Now there are several options for antidepressants.”
“I don’t want to drug myself.”
“Mrs. Buchanan, please try something, even if it is just for a month to get you over the hump.”

“Fine. What are my options.”

The doctor discussed her many options, it was overwhelming. There was a knock on the door and a nurse came in handing the doctor a file.
“Oh, these are your test results.”
The doctor took a few minutes.

“Well you low on several places.  Nora you need to take care of yourself.”
“I know.”
“I am going suggest taking vitamin and antidepressants for at least a month. I want to see you in a month and see how you are doing.”
Nora nodded as he gave her all the things she needed. She walked into the waiting room to Rachel who stood and walked up to her mother. Nora handed her all the items and put her coat on. Mother and daughter walked out without talking.

Once they got in the car Rachel finally talked.

“So?”
Nora sighed.

“So I need to take better care of myself. He is putting my antidepressants and vitamins.”
Rachel squeezed her hand.

“I am here for you mom, its going to get better, it just may take awhile.”

Nora nodded. Rachel finally put the car in gear and headed home. Nora remained quiet the whole way home lost in her own mind. 

Chapter 13

Four months later Nora was still having a hard time, but she was taking better care of herself, at least for Rachel’s sake. But she was still wracked with guilt over what she had done with Drew, she tried to let it go, but every time she had a memory of Bo, her thoughts went to Drew. It wouldn’t stop.

She had started to work again, taking on a few cases.  Today was the first time since Bo’s death she was heading to court house to meet the new ADA.  She walked into the DA offices to find lot of old friends there to greet her. Hank came out of his office and parted the group. He hugged her tight.

“Baby it is so good to see you back in the office.”
Nora leaned against him hugging him back.

“Thank you.”
They finally parted.

“I am suppose to meeting a Brent Hundt?”
Hank took her arm and guided her towards an office. He knocked and entered. Nora followed.

“Brent. I’d like you to meet Nora Buchanan. She is the toughest lawyer in town, so watch out.”
Hank turned and kissed her on the check then left. She smiled at Hank then turned towards Brent. His face showed utter confusion.

“Oh, I guess you don’t know. Hank is my ex-husband.”
“And you two are that friendly?”
“Yeah.”
“oh, umm okay. So Ms. Buchanan I been going over your clients file. I see no reason we can’t come to a plea.”

“Great and please call me Nora.”

“Of course, call me Brent.”
Nora sat down and started to go over the case, it actually felt pretty good to work again. They finished, Nora felt good about this.

“Thank you Brent, I think this is perfect.”
Nora stood gathering her stuff.

“So Brent? You from this area?”
“No, just moved about a week ago.”
“Oh wow, well this is a great town. I am sure you’ll do great.”
“I hope so haven’t had much time to meet anyone yet.”
“Oh, you should come to the palace tonight. My father in law is have his annual Dinner and Dance for the vets tonight. It a great place to meet the people who really have influence in this town.”

“Oh, will you be there?”
Nora sighed and laughed.

“Well, I really wasn’t in the mood, but my father in law has his ways of talking me into things.”
Brent laughed.

“I see, I might go. Be good meet people and maybe I can meet your husband.”
Nora felt a lump in her throat, she never had to deal with this, everybody in town just knew.

“Well, umm. My husband is no longer with us.”
Nora could see his face turn red.

“Oh I am so sorry, I didn’t know.”
“It’s okay, how would you. But you should come. Hank and our daughter will be there and you’ll get to meet the great Asa Buchanan, who is my father in law and happens to believe he runs this town. Which isn’t true, we just let him think that.”
Brent laughed again.

“Ok, I’ll see you there.”
She opened the door to Hank who was just about to knock.

“Oh good you are still here. I just wanted to see what time I should pick you and Rachel up?”
“6.”
“Ok, 6:30” Nora glared “What? I know how you two are. I’ll be there at 6 and we’ll leave at 6:30.”
“Fine, I invited Brent, thought it be a good place for him to meet people.”

“Oh, yeah. I should have thought of that.”
“Hank you’re a man, you would have never thought of that. Nice to meet you Brent. Come on Hank walk me to my car.”
Hank smiled and took her hand. When they got to the car Hank pulled her into a hug.

“You ready for this?”
“No, but I need to start living again Hank. Bo wouldn’t want me to sit at home all the time.”
“No he wouldn’t.” Hank kissed the top of her head “I will see you and Rach in a few hours.”
Nora smiled and got in her car. She waved as she left.  Anxiety filling her as she did, was she really ready to do public again? She sighed, she needed to do this. 

Chapter 14

Nora and Rachel walked into the room on Hank’s arm.
“Oh look at that!”
Nora looked around confused.

“What?”
“All the men jealous of me walking in with the two most beautiful women in town.”
Nora and Rachel rolled there eyes. Hank laughed. Nora let go of his arm and headed towards Asa. He was in a deep conversation with some big wig, but as soon as he saw her stopped and turned towards her opening his arms. She walked into them. He held her tight.

“Honey I am so glad you came!”
He introduced her to the people he was talking to, Nora shook their hands. She turned as saw Hank. She giggled to herself, he was flirting with an officer she knew he had a thing for.  Then she looked over at Rachel who was deep in a conversation with Kevin. She sighed, then she noticed Brent come in, she waved him over. He came over obviously nervous.

“Hey Nora, you look nice.”
“Thanks, I’d like you to meet Asa Buchanan.”
Asa stopped his conversation to be introduced.

“So you're the new ADA? Hmm, remember I have the best lawyer in town, so think twice before going after me.”
Nora hit Asa.

“Be nice, he is new in town, I thought I could introduce him to people.”

She smiled and started walking. Brent followed her.

“Sorry, he can be nasty, but he loves his family very much.”

Brent nodded. She introduced him around, the got to talking. Nora found herself enjoying the night. The night was nice, but it made her heart ache for Bo. By this time in the night he’d come over and put his arms around her and make some suggestion of going home, then they go home and make love. She sighed lost in her thoughts.

“Nora? Nora?”
Nora snapped out of her thoughts.

“Oh, sorry Brent, was lost in thought.”
He nodded.

“Thank you for inviting me tonight. I got to meet a lot of people and I had fun.”
“Good. Well I better round up my daughter and Hank and head home. I’ll see you around Brent.”
“Yeah.”

Nora went to find Rachel and Hank she needed to get home. She found them, Hank took them home. Rachel went to her room and Nora to hers. She sat on her bed as she got ready for bed, she looked at her picture of Bo. She ran a hand down his face.

“I miss you so much. It still really hurts Bo. When does this stop?”
She felt the tears coming. She laid down and tried to sleep.

 

Chapter 15

Another two months have gone by, Nora was working full time, which actually helped her out a lot. It kept her mind focused on other things, she had also been slowly letting go of her guilt. Rachel had a lot to do with that.

“MOM! If you had realized it was Drew would have slept with him?”
“No, of course not.”
“Then stop feeling guilty, Bo would not have blamed you. This was Drew’s fault and his alone. Mom, let go of this and remember Bo as you should.”
Nora sighed, she was right.

Nora heard a knock at her door.

“Come in.”
Brent walked in, she smiled. They had actually started to become really good friends. He was good at getting her to laugh and since he didn’t really know Bo he didn’t look at her with pity like so many others.

“Hey Brent what can I do for you?”
“I am here to bribe you with lunch.”
“Bribe huh? What is the bribe related too?”
“The Johnson case.”
Nora looked up at him and laughed.

“Oh no, you aren’t getting me to budge for that one! He is innocent.”
“You won’t budge, even for Roadies burgers?”
“Oh, well since it is Roadies.”
They both laughed.

“Come on Nora, lets get out for a bit.”
“Okay okay.”
Nora grabbed her purse and the left for lunch.

The lunch had been fun. They ran into a couple officers who joined them, they probably were pretty loud, but Nora had fun.

After lunch Brent walked her to her office. She started to open her door, Brent stopped her. She turned towards him, he started to lean in towards her. Nora froze, he was going to kiss her. Then the door swung open, Nora stopped dead in her tracks when she saw who was in there, Drew.
“What are you doing here? We told you never to come back.”
“Who is this? A new boyfriend, move on from my father and me fast didn’t you.”
“Drew leave.”
“No, I want what is mine, my father’s money.”
Brent spoke up.

“Nora do you want to stay?”
She looked over at him.
“Yes, I want to make sure I have a witness. Drew you aren’t getting any money. Bo’s will specifically left everything to me, his wife.”
Drew smiled and walked over to her.
“Well, wonder what would happened if the newspapers got wind of you sleeping with me the same night of his memorial.”
Nora shuddered.
“LEAVE, if you were smart you leave town. If you grandfather catches wind of this, I pity you.”
“I am not scared of Asa.”
He reached out to touch her. Nora hit his hand away.

“Don’t touch me!”
“I guess you are getting some from him now.”
Nora turned towards Brent, who look extremely uncomfortable.
“That is none of your business, leave now.”

“Fine, but I am not leaving town till I get what is mine, you know I think I might just let the town really know what kind of a whore you really are.”
Finally he left and Nora collapsed on a chair trying to control her anger and fear.
“Nora? Are you okay? Who was that?”
Nora took some deep breaths.

“That is Bo’s son, he never really knew his father. But he is a con man, he came to town when Bo was undercover. Everyone thought he was great, he just need a little guidance. Then Bo died and his true colors came out.”
Brent put his hand on her shoulder.

“Nora what did he do?”
Nora looked up at Brent.
“He tricked me into sleeping with him. I had a few drinks in me and I thought I was dreaming of Bo. I woke up and found him next to me.”
“Oh my God, Nora that is awful. Why didn’t you report him?”
“Because I just lost my husband, my heart and soul. I couldn’t take anymore. Rachel got him to leave town. I can’t believe he came back. Asa and Hank are going to kill him.”

Brent pulled her to him and hugged.

“I am so sorry.”
“Thank you. It’s just this brings so much stuff up. I was just letting go of the guilt.”
Brent pulled back, he moved her hair out of her face and  kissed her. Nora sighed she kissed him back. Then she pulled away.

“Brent, I don’t want you to take this the wrong way. I like you, I really do, but I am not ready. Not even close. I still love Bo so much, he is all I think about still. Maybe someday I can move on, but not today.”
Brent nodded.

“If that day comes will you let me know? I have very strong feelings for you.”
She smiled and touched his face.
“I will.”
He nodded.

“What do you need me to do about Drew?”
“Nothing, I will call everyone and let them know what happened. And please, keep it quiet about what happen with Drew. Only Rachel, Hank and Asa know. I’d like to keep it that way.”
“No problem. I should get back. I’ll tell Hank if you want me too.”
“Yes, that would be great. Thanks.”
Brent left. Nora remained in her chair. She wanted her husband back.

Chapter 16

The following week had been awful. Drew wouldn’t leave no matter what Hank and Asa had threatened him with. He had started to stalk her. Hank put an officer on her, trying to keep her safe.  Then she got a call that sent chills down her spine. Viki had called her. Evidently Drew was ready to sell the story of their night together.

“Viki, please tell me you won’t run it.”
“No of course not, it is gossip. But honey Todd probably will.”
Nora felt a lump in her throat.

“Nora I hate asking you this, but is there any truth to it.”
“Yes, but I thought I was dreaming and I thought he was Bo. Viki I swear.”

“I believe you. Nora you need to tell you side try to get it out there.”
“Viki, no. That was one of the worst nights of my life.”

“I know, but honey it going to be much worse if you don’t.”

“I have to think about it Viki.”

“Ok, I am here for you no matter what.”
“Thank you.”

Nora hung up. Her stomach was churning. She didn’t know what to do. She needed Bo. She closed her eyes and sighed, trying to calm her mind. Nothing was helping. She heard a knock.

“Come in.”
Brent came in, he had flowers in his hand. She smiled.

“I thought you might need these.”
She stood and took them. She couldn’t stop the tears from coming. Brent pulled her in a hug and held her as she did. Finally Nora pulled away.

“I am sorry.”
“Hey after what you’ve been through I can’t blame you.”

“Thank you for the flowers. Drew is selling the story.”
“What? No. What you going to to do?”
“I don’t know. My friend Viki thinks I need to just come out with my side.”
“She is probably right.”
Nora shook her head.

“I can’t think right now, too much going on in my head.”
“Nora, let me take you home. I think you just need to rest on it.”
Nora nodded.

“You are probably right.”
Brent smiled and helped her get her stuff then took her home. He stayed over a bit, they had dinner. When he left Nora was left alone with her thoughts again. She honestly didn’t know what to do. She was just getting over what had happened, now this. She ran her hands through her hair, she needed to sleep, she couldn’t make up her mind right now. She was about to head upstairs when the doorbell rang. She sighed, she hoped it wasn’t Drew or the press. She went over to the door and answered it.

Nora felt the blood drain out her face.

Chapter 17

“Are you Nora Buchanan?”
Nora didn’t say a word her mind was so confused.

“Um? I am sorry I must be at the wrong house.”
He started to turn away, Nora finally found her voice.

“Bo?”

He turned towards her.

“Is that my name?”
Nora was confused, her mind had to playing tricks on her.

“Am I dreaming?”

“I uh, don’t think so. Listen about 6 months ago I woke up in a hospital in Sweden with no idea who I was, there was torn letter in my possession, only thing we could find on was Nora and part of last name that started with Buch.  So I started to search for a name that would fit, and I have been all over this country to meet Nora’s, you are the first that seemed to recognize me. Do you know me?”
Nora felt her tears starting.

“Are you sure you aren’t a dream?”
“Yes.”
Nora slowly walked over to him and touched him.

“Bo?”
She looked in his eyes, yes there was confusion, but she saw him her Bo.

“Oh my God, Bo.”
She cried and hugged him, then kissed him. She put his face in his hands. Confusion was etched on his face.

“So you know me?”
She kissed him.

“Yes I do. I know you better than anyone. You are Bo Buchanan, my husband and I have” Nora swallowed her tears. “I have missed you so much.”

“Bo Buchanan?” Nora nodded. “and I am married to you?”
Nora nodded again. Bo looked her up and down, he gave her one of dazzling Bo Buchanan smiles. Nora felt her heart melt.

“Well I must say I have excellent taste.”
Nora laughed, then took his hands.

Chapter 17

“Are you Nora Buchanan?”
Nora didn’t say a word her mind was so confused.

“Bo Buchanan?” Nora nodded. “and I am married to you?”
Nora nodded again. Bo looked her up and down, he gave her one of dazzling Bo Buchanan smiles. Nora felt her heart melt.

“Well I must say I have excellent taste.”
Nora laughed, then took his hands. Suddenly she felt very nervous, this couldn't be real.

“So, uh. You want to come inside?”

He sighed and smiled. He started to talk, but got choked up. Nora put her hand on his face.
“Bo?”
“It’s just for six months I’ve been searching for who I am, now I am about to find out and I am nervous, happy, and so scared.”
Nora smiled and kissed him.

“I am too, but it will okay, we are together. Trust me, nothing can beat us when we are together.”
He nodded and followed her inside.

Nora watched as he walked in and took everything in.
“Anything look familiar?”
He shook his head.

“That is okay. Bo? What have they said about you amnesia? I mean what caused it?”
“They said I was hit in the head, they didn’t know if I’d ever get my memories back.”
Nora ignored the hurt she felt in her heart, she had him back that was all that mattered. She saw him pick up a picture. He looked up at her.

“We’re we married by little Richard?”
Nora smiled and nodded.

“We had a rock’n’roll wedding.”
“Wow.”

He continued to look at things. He picked up a picture of himself and Rachel.

“Whose this?”
“That is my daughter Rachel, you and her love each other very much.”
He smiled.

“Really? I have a step daughter? Do we have any kids?”
“No, I mean we had talked about, actually right before we thought you died we had decided to make a real decision when you got back home.”
Bo nodded, she could see he was overwhelmed. She felt a little awkward, it was a strange feeling have the man she loved more than life looking at her with strange eyes.

“So what should I know?”

Nora walked over to him and put his hands into hers.

“Come on to the kitchen.”
“You going make dinner?”
Nora laughed.

“Oh Bo if I hadn’t believed you before I certainly do now.”
“Why?”
“Bo I am an awful cook.”
“oh, sorry.”
“No, it is okay. I was just going to get a couple of beers and then we can talk.”
Bo smiled.

“That sounds great.”

They went to kitchen. Nora told him their story for the next few hours, she then noticed the time.

“Oh look at the time, umm Bo. I don’t know how you feel about this, but you can stay here.”
She held her breath she didn’t want him to see how much she wanted him to stay with her.

“Uh, yeah. That would be great.”
“I’ll get you some clothes, you can stay in the guestroom.”
Bo looked at her suggestively.

“Guest room?”
Nora smiled, then walked over to him kissing him.

“Bo I would LOVE for you stay with me, but I don’t think you are ready do you?”
He sighed.

“No. Thank you.”
She smiled.

“I can’t wait to see your family’s faces tomorrow.”

Nora showed Bo everything he headed to bed. Nora walked in their bedroom alone. She felt so happy and so sad. Her dreams came true, but it was so hard to see him not know her. Her head and heart were confused, but she fell asleep with a smile for the first time in months.

Chapter 18

Nora woke up hearing her doorbell. She got up and looked at the clock. Then she remembered last night.

“Was that a dream?”

She got up and headed downstairs, there was no indication of Bo. Maybe it was a dream. She felt her heart sink, it had to be, even after all this time her heart felt like it was ripped open all over.

The doorbell was ringing more.

“I am coming, jeeze!”
Nora opened the door, only to find Drew.

“Hello Nora.”
Nora tried to shut the door, but he put his body in the way. He pushed his way in.

“That wasn’t nice.”
“Get out of my house Drew.”
“I just need to give you one last chance.”
“Viki already told me you are selling.”
“Well if you let me have that money I won’t.”
“Go ahead, I have nothing to be ashamed of, in fact I think you better think twice.”
“Why? What you going to do? Everybody will think you’re a slut, what do I care.”
“No Drew, what you did was rape.”
“Rape, you were willing.”
“You let me think you were your father Drew. I made love to my husband that night, not you.”
Drew face dropped, he obviously hadn’t put that together.

“It is my word against yours.”
“No, my word, Rachel’s word and probably Asa’s word against yours.”
Drew face turned red. Suddenly he grabbed her.

“Give me that money.”
Nora tried to get out of his grip but couldn’t.

“LET GO OF ME DREW!”
He pushed her hard against the wall. Nora’s head hit the wall she felt dazed. The next thing she knew Drew was on the floor. She looked up and saw Bo. Her heart leapt, it was real, last night wasn’t a dream. Drew started to get up his fist up, then he saw who it was.

“You’re dead.”
Bo looked angry.

“I don’t know who you are, but you need to leave, don’t you ever touch her again!”
Drew laughed.

“You don’t know me? Thanks dad!” Nora saw Bo’s eyes widen at the word dad. “You been dead and you don’t know me.” Drew shook his head in disbelief. “You know what, I fucked your wife.”
Bo stopped moving and looked over a Nora. She had too look away, the pain on his face was too much.

“That is right, the night of your memorial. I got it on with your perfect and precious wife two minutes after she thought you were dead.”
Nora didn’t say anything. She heard Drew laugh.

“You know what Nora, we’re good. Seeing your face is good enough for me. See you pop.”
Drew left. Nora finally looked up at Bo, who look so confused.

“Bo.”
Bo put his hands up.

“So that was my son?”
Nora nodded.

“You didn’t tell me about him last night, why?”
“Because you never really knew him.”
“I never knew him, well, it sounds like you did.”
“Bo, no.”
“Is everything you told me last night a lie? Do you really love me?”
“Bo I love you more than anything, my life has been so empty without you.”
Bo shook his head.

“I don’t understand. I don’t understand, I don’t remember you, I don’t remember HIM, but my heart is breaking.”
“Bo please, I need explain.”
“I think I need some air.”
“Bo what about the rest of your family, they don’t know yet.”
“Um, you gave me enough names. I can find them.”

Nora nodded, her heart sinking as he walked out. After the door closed Nora sat there alone, wondering if she lost him just as she got him back. 

Chapter 19

Nora didn’t leave her house all day, she was praying Bo would come back. She already got a call from Hank, Rachel, and Asa. All were excited at his returned, all worried about the memory loss. Nora didn’t have the heart to tell any of them what had happened with Drew. She heard the doorbell, her heart leapt. She ran to get it. She opened it. But she was let down when Brent was on the other side.

“Hey Nora, I brought over some pizza thought we could hang out again.”
Nora moved to the side and let him in. Brent was talking but she wasn’t really listening.

“Nora? Nora? What is going on with you?”
Nora looked at him her emotions boiling up. Brent walked over to her taking her hands.

“What is it?”

“Bo is alive.”
Brent’s face fell.

“What do mean? Nora he had been dead for six months now.”
Nora shook her head.

“No, we thought he was. He turned up last night, he has no memories. We talked, I told him our story. He seemed relieved to find out who he was, he stayed in the guest room.”
“Nora this sounds wonderful, even without his memories, you have your Bo back.”

Nora smiled.
“It is, but then something happened today.”
“What?”
Nora looked at his face.
“Drew.”
"Oh no."

“He told Bo about our little umm affair.”
“Afair? Nora he tricked you. NO! He raped you! He should be in jail.”

“Bo was too shocked to listen. He uh, he left.”
“Well he is coming back isn’t he.”
“I don’t know. Brent I am so scared he doesn’t have any memory and he now thinks the worst of me, what if he decides it isn’t worth it and just leaves?”
“Nora, no. I don’t know Bo, but from what you and everybody has told me Bo Buchanan doesn’t up and run. Especially from you, memories or not.”
Nora smiled at Brent, but couldn’t stop her emotions as they took over. Brent hugged her.

“It’s going to be okay Nora, you’ll see.”
Nora heard the door open. She and Brent let go of each other as they turned. Nora saw Bo and her heart lept.

“Bo!”
She went over to hug him, but he back up. Nora frowned and put her arms to her side. Then she noticed Bo eyeing Brent.

“Oh, Bo this is Brent, don’t worry you have never meet him. He moved into town after.” Nora couldn’t quite finish her statement. For his part Brent smiled and put out his hand to Bo.

“Bo it is so nice to meet you! Nora and everybody had told me so much about I feel like I know you.” Bo didn’t put his hand out to Brent, Brent finally put his hand down awkwardly. “Um, well I think I let you two alone. Bye Nora, bye Bo, nice to meet you.”

Nora closed to door behind Brent after he left. She turned toward Bo who was glaring at the door. Nora walked over to him tried to kiss his cheek he backed away again.

“You know for 6 months I didn’t know anything about myself, I had a piece of paper with the name Nora on it.  That paper gave me so much hope. Then last night I finally find Nora, my Nora from the paper and she is beautiful, smart, and supposable mine.”
“Bo I am yours.”
“Really Nora? This morning I find out  you had sex my son just after you thought I died, now I come home and find you embracing someone else. Just tell me the truth, did you move on? I will understand if you did.”

Nora felt her anger build.

“NO! I HAVEN'T MOVED ON! I’VE BEEN BROKEN!”

Bo face turned to shock.

“God Bo, you are not the only one who has been lost for 6 months.  I lost my heart, I lost part my soul when we thought you were dead. I barely functioned, if it weren’t for my daughter I am not sure I would have left the house.”

Nora collapsed on the couch putting her hands over her face.

“What about Brent? He seemed more than a friend.”
Nora sighed.

“I am not going to lie, he is interested in me and has expressed it, but Bo, I was in no condition to move on. My heart is yours still. He understood and has been one of my best friends.”

Bo sat next to her, both were silent for a long time.

“What about my son?” Bo laughed. “I uh can’t remember his name.”

Nora felt the tears starting.

“Drew, your son’s name is Drew.”
She heard Bo whisper it a couple time, like he was trying to imprint it in his memory.
“Um, Drew came back into our lives about a month before we thought you died. He seemed shy and unsure, so I took him and tried to show him that we would accept him. He seemed to be doing well, he and Rachel even started to see each other. Then you died.” Nora took a deep breath trying to keep in emotions in check and dared not look at Bo as she continued. “Drew withdrew into himself, I just thought he didn’t know where he belonged, I was too distraught to really help him or anyone else. On the day of the memorial Asa gave me bourbon. I really hadn’t been taking care of myself so the liquor hit me hard. Drew and Rachel helped me home and into bed. That night I dreamed you had come to me and we made love.”
She stood and walked over to the window trying to find a way to tell him the rest. She felt Bo come behind he wrapped his arms around her.
“I am sorry, you don’t have to tell me anymore.”
“Yes, I need you to know. Bo, I woke up and found Drew next to me in bed. He had let me think it was you I was making love too.”
Bo held her tighter and kissed her neck.
“Stop please Nora, I understand.”
Nora nodded then leaned back into his arms closing her eyes. Bo put his head on her shoulder.

“I am sorry Nora, I snapped at you and I left. I am so confused. I have no memories of you or us, but when I am around you, I can feel our connection. Even if I don’t understand it. When Drew came in this morning, I got scared that what I was feeling wasn’t real, that I was just making it up in my mind so I could feel like I belong. I am so sorry that he did that to you, that I wasn’t here to protect you. I know I love you, I can feel it.”
A sob escaped out of Nora. She turned into his arms and kissed him, then they embraced. Bo kissed her cheek then whispered in her ear.

“I will do whatever it takes to remember you and our life together. I want this life so much, I want you so much. I want to understand this strong connection I feel with you.”
Nora pulled back and kissed him passionately. Bo hand went to her waist and pulled her body to his. They kissed for several long minutes. Nora slowly pulled away and smiled at him. She nuzzled his nose with his.

“Bo, I love you, but I think we need to wait to make love.”
He kissed her again.

“I understand, but I plan on kissing you whenever I get the chance.”

She giggled putting a hand on his chest and smiled seductively.

“Good, now why don’t you sleep in our bed tonight. Being in our together may help jog those memories.”
Bo smiled.

“I like that idea, umm do I get to watch you get around for bed?”
Nora gave him a coy look. She kissed him.

“Of course, but you asking me that makes me think you haven’t really lost your memories.”
Bo laughed and followed her upstairs.

Chapter 20

The following week Bo and Nora were inseparable.  Nora felt such mixed emotions. She was so happy to have Bo back, she was practically bursting, but his lack of memories was often unintentionally hurtful. Nora spent most of her energy helping Bo through this, his frustration was high.  They’d be looking through pictures and he suddenly stand up and leave the room. She knew he was just mad at himself, but it was hard to watch.

She was also thankful the Drew had disappeared again. She just wanted to forget that part of her life. Bo never brought Drew up.

When they weren’t looking at pictures Nora would spend the day doing activities they would have done before his memory loss. Movies, junk food, dancing, going out with friends. She hope any of these would help him. While they helped Bo relax, it didn’t seem to be helping him get his memories. Today they decided to be lazy, Bo was sitting reading a book when Nora walked into the house with their lunch. He looked up and smiled.

“Hey beautiful, what you got?”
“Chinese.”
“Yes!”

Bo stood and helped her with all the food. They started to open and split things. Bo suddenly stopped.

“What is wrong? Bo?”
He looked over at her.

“Nothing, I just was thinking it is weird. I remember that I love General Tso’s chicken, but I can’t remember my own birthday.”
Nora put her food down and wrapped her arm around him. He held her, then kissed her neck. Nora moaned as his hands ran up and down her body. They kissed, it soon became passionate. Bo gently pushed her on the couch and started to removed her clothes. Nora felt the fire in her body that only Bo could create as his hands touched her bare skin. He pulled out their kiss long enough to finish removing her shirt and pants. Nora gasped and arched her body as he kissed down her body.

“Beautiful Red.”
Nora moaned then stilled. Bo looked up with concern.

“What is it? Is there something wrong? Nora?”
“You called me Red.”

Bo sat up and looked at her face with confusion.

“Uh, yeah I guess I did.”
Nora nearly cried. She sat up and hugged him tight.

“Oh Bo, you called me Red.”
“Is there something wrong with that? Do you not like that? I won’t call you that if you don’t me.”
Nora kissed him hard, silencing him.

“BO! That is my nickname. That is what you call me!”
Bo still showed confusion.

“Bo I never told you that.”
Bo eyes widen as he understood.

“You mean I remembered something on my own?”
Nora smiled and nodded.

Bo laughed and kissed her again. Then he put his forehead on hers. Nora sighed. Bo pulled back then looked down at her half naked body and smiled.

“I guess it just took me removing your clothes to get my memory jogged. Now just think all I could remember if I made love to you?”

Nora laughed, she kissed him gently but pushed him away.

“Bo we shouldn’t, we both lost our heads there. But I am not sorry one tiny bit.”

“Me either. Red.”
Nora laughed and pulled him to her again.

“Oh Bo, it’s a start, a wonderful start.”

Bo kissed her shoulder and held her tight. There was finally a little ray of hope for them to cling on to. 

Chapter 21

Bo had talked Nora into working part days again.  His memory was coming, but very slowly.  He remembered odd thing, but nothing major. His frustration was there, but not as much as it was a month ago. Nora tried to work, but her mind kept wandering to Bo, wondering what she could do for him. She knew there was not much that could be done, he would remember when he remembered, but she wanted him back so badly.  It was getting harder to resist making love to him. There have been to many close calls, their head always seemed to take over, but they kept getting further into their foreplay before one of them would stop it. Nora knew they were not going to last much longer. There was a knock on her door.

“Come in.”
A woman opened the door.

“Nora Buchanan?”
“Yes, can I help you?”
“My name is Becky Lee Abbott, I believe you are married to the father of my son Drew.”
Nora felt shock run through her body.
“Becky Lee? We thought you had died?”
“What? Why would think that?”
“Because that is what Drew told us.”
Becky Lee scowled.

“So he is here.”
“No, he left town a long time ago, he came back for a bit but left again. I take it you haven’t seen him in a long time.”
“NO, about a year. He was getting out of control and when he left I was a bit relieved. So he came here?”
“About 7 months ago he stayed for about a month.”
Becky Lee looked at her hands.

“How was he?”

Nora wasn't sure how to answer.

“Please tell me the truth.”
Nora sighed.

“He uh was fine at first, then we thought Bo died. Then he, well he did something ugly.”
“Bo died?”
“We thought he did, he just came back, he lost his memories.”

“oh, my. What did Drew do?”
Nora really didn’t want to tell her. She looked at Becky Lee who eyes were pleading.

“You sure you want to know, it is hard for me to tell, it will be hard for you to hear.”

“Yes I need to know if I should just let him go.”
Nora nodded.

“Well umm, he.” Nora sighed she hated telling this story. “On the night of his father’s memorial he came to me and let me believe he was his father.” Nora stopped hoping she would understand. Becky Lee’s face showed confusion at first, then her eyes got big.

“You mean he came to you in your bedroom?”
“Yes and I was a little drunk and too emotionally distraught to realize he wasn’t Bo.”
Becky Lee stood and paced.

“I am sorry Becky Lee, there is more.”
Becky Lee turned.

“What more could there be?”
“He came back a little over a month ago wanting money, he threatened to tell the papers that we had slept together if I didn’t pay.”
“Please tell me you didn’t pay him.”
“Uh no. Bo returned about that same time, Drew seemed to get more pleasure out of telling his father about his “slut wife” than he did from money. He left town after that.”
“Oh God, I am so sorry. I raised him better. Damn it!”

“It’s not your fault, Drew is a grown man who made his own decisions.”

“You’re right, but this is hard to swallow. I think I took enough of your time.” Becky Lee stood ready to leave, when Nora’s door flew open. Bo ran in.

“RED! I got. Oh I am sorry, you are with a client. I should have knocked.”
“Bo, it is okay. Do you remember her?”
Bo looked at Becky Lee. Then shook his head.

“I am sorry, I don’t know if you know, but I have lost a bit of my memory.”
“That is okay, Nora told me. My name is Becky Lee, I am Drew’s mother.”
Bo stood a little straighter.

“Oh, I am so sorry. What are doing here.”
“Looking for Drew, but after talking with your wife I am not sure I want to find him.”
Bo nodded.

“He really hurt Nora.”
“Yes and I am sorry.”

“It’s not your fault, but if you find him, make sure he understands he isn’t welcome in my life.” Then Bo looked over to Nora. “and if he ever does return, I’ll arrest him for raping my wife.”
Becky Lee nodded and left. Bo walked over to Nora, he brushed her hair back then kissed her temple.

“You okay?”
“Yeah, I just wish I could erase that part of my life, I hate having to tell it.”
Bo nuzzled her.

“I know. I love you Red.”
Nora turned her head that was the first time he had said that to her since returning. She hugged him.

“I love you  too Bo,so much.”

“Even if I can’t remember meeting you?”
Nora laughed, then pulled back kissing him.

“Yes, because in here.” Nora put her hand over his heart. “You are still the man I meet and married and still love with all that I am.”

“Good, because am beyond any help for how much I love you.”

They kissed in her office for several minutes. Nora pulled away.

“Bo what did you come in here for? You looked like you had something important to tell me.”
“OH! I was in our bedroom reading and I think I remembered something, but it is a bit weird.”

“Well weird is kind of our normal Bo.
“I remember you, I think you were wearing a saloon girls outfit and I can remember this feeling of awe, but there was something not right. Like I felt a little guilt.”
“Oh Bo! That was the night of our first kiss, total accident. You are probably right about the guilt. Your wife had just died a few month before that. But that is really an important memory.”

Bo smiled and sighed.

“Red I feel like my memories are right there, but they just won’t come out. It is so frustrating.”

“I know. I wish I could get them to come out too. But you are remembering, slowly. You will get there.”
Bo kissed her.

“Want to play hooky and have fun with me?”
“I would love to Bo.”
He smiled and took her hand. 

Chapter 22- Mature

Nora was sound asleep when something loud woke her. She went to reach for Bo only to find him not in bed. Nora got up and went to investigate. As she got closer to the stairs she could hear more noise.

“Bo?”
“Yeah Red, sorry did I wake you?”

Nora reached to bottom of the stairs she looked over at him and saw nothing unusual.

“Bo what is going on?”

“Oh I was thirsty and accidentally dropped a glass.”
“You okay?”
“Yeah I was about to clean it up.”
“Let me help.”

Nora and Bo started to clean up, Bo bent down to pick up the glass and cut himself.

“Ow.”
“Oh Bo!” She grabbed a towel and put around his hand and to stop the bleeding. She heard him gasp. “Am I hurting you?”
“No! Red I just, oh wow.”
“What?”
“Red, I think I remember everything about us investigating Sarah’s death. It is strange.”
Nora stood.

“Everything are sure?”
“No, but umm I remember a lot. I remember asking you to help. I remember cutting my hand on her cup and you stopping me from hurting myself more. You thought you did it! You thought you killed Sarah! God Red I remember that, but you didn’t it was umm, it was oh the truck driver.” He stopped talking Nora could see tears in his eyes. “I remember asking you to marry me and then I found out your name was going to be Nora Hanen Gannon, soon to Buchanan.”

Nora laughed then began to cry herself. She kissed him. He held her.

“I don’t think I remember much after that Red.”
“That is okay, you remembered so much, it’s only a matter of time.”

Bo kissed her hard. She kissed him back as he pull her body to his. He pulled his face up.

“Red, please I don’t want to wait anymore. I want to make love to my wife.” He kissed her again. “To the woman love.” Nora moaned as his hips rotated in hers.

“Please Bo, make love to me.”

Bo grabbed her hand and headed upstairs as fast as they both could. Once they reached their bedroom clothes were being ripped off. Nora turned to the bed, Bo had other ideas. He pulled her body to his kissing her neck as one hand caressed her breast and the other made it’s way her womanhood. “Good.”
Nora sighed as Bo kissed her body, it was going to a perfect day. 

Chapter 23

The next week was almost like being newlyweds. Nora was loving it, especially since everyday Bo seemed to regain bigger chunks of his memory. She knew it wouldn’t be long before he would remember them being married.

She was laying on the bed reading when Bo came back in the room with food in hand. He put the bags to the side and kissed her shoulder. She smiled at him and adjusted herself when he handed her food. They began to eat.

“Red?”
“Hmm?”
“Where we always like this?”
“Like what?”
“Like two teenager? Did marriage slow us down.”
Nora swallowed her food and thought a bit.

“Well, yes and no. I mean this is unusual, but I think about it, on days where neither of had work and we had no kids, well it was just like this. We'd never leave our room. Our love life never suffered, trust me on that Bo.”

Bo smiled then leaned down and kissed her.

“Good, I love being with you, it would make me sad to think we would lose this part of our lives after time.”
“Bo I don’t think you have any worry. So?”
“So?”
“What you remembering today?”
He got a serious look on his face.

“Well I remember Didi and her death.” Nora ran a hand down his face. “It’s okay Red. Then I uh, well I remember Alex.”
Nora choked on her sandwich. Bo patted her on the back as she coughed.

“Warn a girl Bo, what pray tell do remember about Ms. Olengauf?”
“Well, I remember I liked her.” Nora screwed her face in disgust. “Then I realized she was crazy and that she tried to kill Cassie.” 

Nora laughed. Bo gave her an odd look.

“Bo do remember anything else?”
“Uh no.”
“She and Asa got married.”
“What? You are lying to me right?”
“Nope, before we did. It was Egyptian Themed and she was Cleopatra”
“No!”
“Oh Yes, it was quite the event. I personally can’t wait till can remember it so we can laugh about it again.” Bo looked stunned. “Don’t worry that marriage last a few years, you know those two.”

Bo finally laughed and shook his head.

“You know sometimes I feel so normal, especially when I am with you, but then something like that comes up and it almost seems like it happened to a stranger.”
Nora put her food to the side and cuddled up to him.

“You’ll remember Bo, you are remembering more and more everyday.”
He smiled and kissed her nose.

“I know, but God Red, I want to remember our life together, all of it.”

“You will.”

Bo put his food down and kissed her while pushing her back down on the bed. Nora sighed, she never wanted this week to end. 

Chapter 24

Two weeks later Nora sat in her office trying figure out if her clients were being honest. She didn’t really trust them. Someone knocked on her door.

“Come in”
Brent walked through the door.

“Hey! I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.”
“Well if that husband of yours would let you leave the house once in awhile.”
Nora felt herself blush. Brent laughed.

“Hey it’s ok and very understandable. How is he doing? Remember more?”
“Very good! I think he remembers practically everything except the last four years of his life.”
“You mean your marriage?”
Nora frowned.

“Yeah, but he remembers most of the stuff from when we dated and were engaged. In fact we were at the palace and Todd Manning walked in, I swear could feel the hate rolling off of him.”

“That must be a good thing.”
“Very good.”
Brent nodded.

“Well I came over to discuss your new clients.”
“Oh yes, I am still trying to decide if I want to take them on, I don’t really trust them.”
“Yeah, I think you should steer far away from them.”
“Thanks, I needed to hear that. I will call them and have them find different representation.”
“Good!”
“So how have you been?”
“Good, I started to see someone.”
“Anyone I know?”
“Umm, actually she is Bo’s ex-wife.”
Nora laughed.

“Cassie!”
“Yes.”
“She is a nice women, I sure you two will be great.”
“I hope so. Well I better go, I just wanted to warn about twiddle dee and dum.”
“Thank you, I was on the edge of dropping them anyways.”
“Ok, see you later, say hi to Bo.”
“I will.”
Nora closed the door and began to look at her calendar.

“The 15th, ok that means I should be able to see the client on.” She stopped talking to herself she looked at the calendar again. “Oh, Oh, Oh!”
She ran out of the office and headed to her car.

About an hour later Nora was pulling up to her house with a brown paper bag next to her. She walked inside and found Bo sitting on the couch looking at pictures again. He looked up at her.

“Red, what you doing home. I thought I wasn’t going to see you for another four hours?”

“Uh you weren’t.”
She put her stuff all down.
“What’s that Red.”
She picked up the bag and handed it to him. He looked questioning but took the bag. He opened it. Nora saw the shock. He looked up at her then back down at the item in his hand.

“Um, why did you get this Red?”
“Because it is the 17th.”
“The 17th? I am lost.”
“That is 4 days.”
“Red you are talking in riddles here.”
“I am four days late.”
Bo face still looked confused then it hit him.

“Ohhhh. So you thought you should?”
“Yes.”

“Ok.”
Bo handed her the box and she left the room. Three minutes later she returned to Bo pacing the room. He stopped and looked at her.

“Well?”
“We have two more minutes.”
Bo nodded then continued to pace. Nora nervously ran her hands through her hair. Finally the bell went off. They both looked at each other. Nora walked back to the room. She back out after a minute. Bo looked at her with scared but excited eyes.

“Red?”
“We are having a baby Bo.”

Bo stood there for a minute then he smiled, the biggest smile Nora had ever seen from him.

“We are have a baby!”
Bo ran to her and pulled her to him and kissed her hard. Nora kissed him back, threading her hands through his hair. Finally they stopped, then they looked at each other and started to laugh. Bo hugged her whispering in her ears.

“This is all I ever wanted Red, a child with you.”

“Me too Bo.”
They stood there hugging each other, both so happy and so shocked to be parents again. 

Chapter 25

The very next day they went to the doctor to make sure they were really pregnant, when the doctor confirmed Bo stood there beaming.

“You are very early, about 5 weeks. I want you to cautious, your age makes this high risk. I’ll will want to see regularly. But if you follow my instructions and take care of yourself, I see no reason why you two shouldn’t have a healthy and happy baby.”
Nora smiled at Bo, who was still beaming. The doctor left. Bo helped her off the bed, then kissed her as she finished dressing.

“Thank you Red.”

Nora smiled at him then kissed his cheek.

“Thank you Bo.”

He smiled again and took her hand leaving together.

They reached home, Bo began to read the literature. Nora smiled he was going to be very serious about his baby. She walked over to him kissing his neck and running her hands down his chest.

“Why don’t you put the pamphlet down baby and show me some fun.”

Bo put the paper down and turned in her arms then kissed her.
“Red, I love you.”
“I love you too, now take me upstairs and show me. After all isn’t the best way to celebrate pregnancy.Too do the thing that caused it.”
She waggled her eyebrows. He laughed.

“I think you are right.”

The kissed and moved towards the stairs.

Nora woke up and reached for Bo. When she realized it was empty she looked up and saw him staring out the window. She got up and stood behind him wrapping her arms around him. Bo took her hand and kissed it.

“What is wrong Bo?”
He sighed.

“I am just a bit scared and frustrated.”

Nora kissed his back.

“Why Bo?”
“Scared of not being a good dad, frustrated that I still can’t remember our marriage. Scared and frustrated that my lack of memory might affect our child.”
“First of all you will be a wonderful father, memory or not. Second as much as I want you to remember it is okay if you don’t. You are still the best husband a woman could ask for. I love you Bo and this baby will love you so much.”
“I know, but it is still hard to deal with. Today I was watching you sleep and I kept feeling like I had a memory that was there but it just wouldn’t show itself. I want to remember everytime I touched you, everytime I made you laugh even cry. I just want to remember you and me completely.”

Nora held him tighter. They stood there looking out at the Llanview sky. Nora hands started to caress him. She felt Bo’s breathing increase. She slowly moved her hands down his body. Bo groaned. He took her hand and lead her back to their bed to make new memories. 

Chapter 26

Nora's pregnancy was the talk of the town for the next several months. Everyone was extremely excited to welcome the newest Buchanan in the world.  Asa was already spoiling the baby, they came home to a very expensive and huge stuffed giraffe in the middle of the living room the same day they had told Asa. All they could do was laugh, then try to figure out where in the hell to put the giraffe. Rachel was very excited, but upset she’d miss so much because of her new job in Chicago. The rest of the family was beyond ecstatic. Neither had heard from Drew, which was a relief to both of them. They didn’t want to have to deal with that during what was one of the happiest chapters in their lives.

Nora was actually surprised on how easy it was, she had very little problems, which seemed to ease Bo’s worries.  His memories still have yet to break through, but Nora helped him realize the future with the baby was what mattered. This seemed to reduce his frustration a bit.

Going into her seven month the excitement was getting almost too much for Bo. She laughed as he would read his baby books, but she was very happy that he finished the nursery early.

Nora and Bo walked down the street hand in hand, both feeling good after the doctor visit. The baby was still doing really well and the doctor said the next time she’d see Nora would be right before the baby would be born. They chatted about the baby and work. Bo directed her towards Carlotta’s for lunch. As they walked in Brent walked out.

“Hey you two! How is going.”
Nora hugged him and Bo shook his hand.

“It’s going really good, we just got back from the doctors and the baby is doing really well.”
“That is great, I have to go, I’ll see you later.”
Brent left, Nora looked over at Bo who was smiling.

“What?”
“Oh nothing, I really like Brent and I am happy that he is our friend.”
“BO!”
“It just I know he had a thing for you and I won out.”
Nora rolled her eyes.

“I know very caveman, but I can’t help it Red.”

She laughed as he helped her into the booth. Carlotta came up.

“Hey you two, how is the bambino?”
“Healthy and growing!”
“And very hungry.”
They laughed, Carlotta took their order. Several minutes later she brought the food out.

“So Red, you think we could find something for you to wear on Halloween? Do that sell sexy Maternity Costumes.”
Nora laughed.

“Oh Bo you know we never wear costumes, we always end up eating all the candy before kids come to the house then we spend the rest the night in the dark so they won’t think we are home.”
Nora laughed, she looked up when he didn’t laugh at her. He looked at her with wide eyes. She felt a bit nervous.

“Bo we can dress up if you want.”
Bo still said nothing.

“Ok Bo, you’re worrying me.”
“I remember.”
“What Bo? What are you remembering?”
“I remember that conversation, Asa and Alex forced us to open the door.”
Nora felt her heart race, this was the first time he remembered anything during the time they were married.

“Really?”
He nodded, then continued to think.

“Red, I think. I think I remember everything.”
“Are you sure.”
“No, but I remember a lot.”
“I remember us getting married, I remember going undercover. I remember coming home and meeting Drew. I remember being ready to start a family.”
Nora felt tears of joy spill. Bo smiled and got up and sat on her side of the booth. They hugged as he kissed the top of her head. Nora began to cry harder.

“Hey, it’s okay Red.”
She soon started to sob, the fear she had been feeling for the past year, fear of never getting him completely back was being released. Bo held her tight and kissed her hair, he soothed her.

“Shh, baby it’s okay. I am here. You need to calm down okay honey?”
She nodded and took a few breaths, she finally stopped crying. Then she laughed.

“Oh Bo, I was so scared that this day wouldn’t come.”
Bo lifted her face and kissed her.

“I know. I had the same fear, but now I remember!”
His hand went down to her belly placing it on top of their child.

“Now I can tell our child everything it needs to know about our lives.” He sighed. “Red it is such a relief.”

He smiled and they put their foreheads together. Nora smiled, everything was as it should be. 

Chapter 27

Nora tossed and turned in bed. She was feeling so uncomfortable. She need this kid out of her NOW! She wiggled around trying to find a good position.

“RED!”
“Sorry, I can’t fall asleep because I can’t get comfortable. Because your baby won’t let me! I just want the baby out of me.”
“Soon honey really soon.”  Bo sat up and turned towards her. “Sit up.”
She did as he asked, he moved himself behind her and began to massage her shoulders and back. Nora sighed as she started to relax. Soon she felt her eyes starting to fall as he continued his ministrations. She leaned back against him, Bo kissed her and wrapped his arms around her, soon she was asleep.

Nora woke with jolt as she felt a pain. She took a deep breath. She felt Bo move behind her, he must of fallen asleep with her in his arms.

“What is wrong Red?”
“I think I just had a contraction?”
Bo sat up.

“Do we need to the hospital?”
“No, not yet. If it was one, it was the first. We have a long way to go still.” Bo ran his hands down her back a few times. “We should try to get more sleep, we won’t get much soon.”
He kissed her and held her to him again. They fell asleep once more.

An hour later Nora woke again, the pain was even stronger. She looked behind her, Bo was still asleep. She quietly got up trying not to wake him. She went downstair and started to walk. She was definitely in labor, but she knew she still had sometime and she wanted Bo to get sleep. No reason for them both to be sleep deprived.

She called her doctor to let her know it was beginning. The doctor told her to wait till the get 10 minutes apart before going to the hospital. So she made sure everything was around, stopping when a contraction hit. A few hours later her contractions were getting close to 10 minutes apart. She walked upstair. Bo was still sound asleep. She gently shook him. She kissed him as he woke. He looked up in confusion.

“Red?”
“It’s time to go Bo.”
His face still showed a confusion as he tried to wake. Then it hit him, he stood straight up. Nora sat down as he dressed. He came over to her and helped her back up. They headed towards the car, Bo put her suitcase in the car as she started to get. He stopped for a few seconds once they both sat down. He smiled at her and kissed her.

“We are having our baby Red!”
She smiled then moaned as the pain hit her. Bo held her hand the entire time. Once it was done he headed towards the hospital. At the hospital Nora labor progressed very fast. Bo held her hand and talked her through the entire thing. Two hours later Bo and Nora were parents to baby boy.

Nora laid on the bed semi asleep as Bo held their son. She couldn’t help but smile as she watched them, she listened to Bo telling him all the ways of the new world he was a part of.

“We will love you forever and ever. And that pretty lady over there, she is your mommy, she is the best mommy in the world.” Bo kissed the baby then looked over at her and smiled. She felt her eyes closing. “It’s okay Red, go to sleep we’ll be here when you wake.” Nora felt her body fall asleep as she smiled. 

Chapter 28

Nora followed Bo in the house as they came home from the hospital. He helped her walk down the stairs and to the couch. She sat down slowly, Bo put car seat on the coffee table then removed his coat. Nora was already working on getting her son out when he came back. She could feel him looking at them, she looked up at him smiling as she pulled the baby to her. He was beaming with pride. The baby settled against her.

“Well papa? What you think?”
Bo sat down next her and ran his hand down the baby's head.
“I think this is the most amazing thing that has every happened to me. He is so perfect, just like his mommy.”
Nora smiled and kissed him.

“He is pretty perfect isn’t he?”
Bo just nodded and watched them.

“Do you really like the name Red?.”
She laughed.

“For the last time, yes I like his name. I think it is perfect.”
“It’s just you know.”
“What? Owen is a perfectly normal name and I think he looks like an Owen. I think you did a good job.”
“But the middle name?”
“Oglethorpe, considering how much I love it for you, why wouldn’t I love it for our son?”
Bo sighed in defeat. She giggled and kissed him.

“I don’t know about you Red, but I am beat.”
“Yeah, let me feed him and then we can head to bed.”
Bo held her and Owen as she feed him. She felt so full, this was what life was meant to be. Owen finally finished. She handed the baby to Bo. He stood and tried to burp the baby as Nora adjusted her clothes back. She smiled when she heard the tiny burp come from their son. Bo put his hand out to her.

“Come on lets all go to sleep.”

Nora took his hand and followed him to their room.

Nora heard Owen cooing when she woke. She opened her eyes, it was still dark. She gently moved Bo’s arm off her waist so she wouldn’t wake him. She quietly left the room and headed to the nursery. She entered, her feet stopped when her eyes adjusted to the darkness, Drew was standing in the room next to baby’s crib. He looked over at her then back down to the baby.

Drew whispered.

“So this is my brother?”
Nora ran over and put herself between Drew and the baby.

“What are doing here?”
“I heard there was a new Buchanan and I decided to see for myself.”
“Why didn’t you just stay away, after all you have done to me and your father, there is no way in hell we’ll let you near our son. You will never know your brother.”

Drew smiled and got a little closer to Nora, her hand gripped the crib even tighter.

“What afraid of Nora? That the little guy will find out about you and I? Oh maybe he’ll think I am his father.”
Nora pushed Drew away from her and Owen.

“Stay away from us. I don’t want my son to know his half brother raped his mother when she was at her most vulnerable.”

“You were more than willing.”
Nora shook her head.

“I thought you were your father! And you knew I was drunk and distraught! In the law’s eyes you raped me.”

Drew shrugged.

“You believe what you have to, but I had fun that night.”

Nora felt nauseous.

“What do you want? Why are here?”

“I told you, to see my baby brother. He’s cute.”
“You’ve seen him, now please go and never come back. If Bo see you.”
Nora words were cut short.

“Bo already has seen him.”

Nora and Drew both jumped at Bo’s voice.

“What are doing here son?”
“I already told your wife. To see my brother.”
“You have no right to be here and no right to see or know your own brother, not after what you did to Nora.”

“You know dad, your wife is amazing in the sack. So much passion and energy. I am surprised you can keep up with her.” Drew’s eyes traveled down Nora’s body, she instinctually covered her body with her arms. “She is qu.”
Bo slugged Drew in the face before he could finish his sentence. Drew fell flat on his back. Bo was on him and cuffing him before he had the chance to recover.

“Drew Buchanan you are under arrest for the rape of Nora Buchanan and the breaking in Bo and Nora Buchanan’s house.”
Drew started to protest, Bo dragged him out of the room.

Nora took a deep breath and unwrapped her arms from her body. She turned towards the crib. Owen was just starting to fuss. She smiled and ran her finger down his tiny face.

“Daddy is going to take care of everything sweetie.”

She gently picked him up. Owen quieted but his face started to nudge her.

“You hungry again little man?”

Nora looked out the window as she police lights covered the wall. She sighed, she didn’t want to have this story out in public, but now it looks like she had no choice. She sat down and adjusted her clothes, Owen quickly started to eat. She gently rocked him, listening to the voices downstairs.

Several minutes later Bo came back upstairs. He looked very upset, but then he saw her and Owen in the rocking chair and smiled.

“It’s okay honey, they got him.” Bo came over and ran his hands over her face then kissed her gently. Then he leaned down and kissed Owen’s forehead. “It’s going to be okay Red. I know you don’t want this out, but he deserves jail. I’ll will be with you every step of the way.”
She nodded, she didn’t really trust her voice at the moment.
“Besides Red, look at us. The three of us. Let’s forget about all that for now and enjoy that we are together and that our family is now perfect.”
She smiled at that.

“Yeah we are aren’t we.”
She leaned over and kissed her husband.

They sat their, just the three of them. The little Buchanan family, Nora smiled. This was everything she wanted and dreamed of.
