Treacherous Minds

I am writing this because the writers fucked up this story so badly. Between Matthew be a random killer and Nora losing her memory because she happened to Matthew next to dead body, then left her son (Does anyone believe our helicopter mother Nora would just leave him?). It needed to be done in a way that actually only made sense, but also actually have a real conclusion. So this is the Eddie story redone. I am starting out from Nora finding out that Bo “slept” with Inez (again does anybody believe Bo was that dumb and daft.)

Chapter 1

Nora, sat at her home alone. Matthew was at practice and Bo, she stopped, and every time she thought of him her heart felt like it was being ripped out again. She felt the tears start, she can’t believe he actually slept with that skank. The door knock, stood and went to answer the door. She looked through the peephole, she sighed and opened it.
“What do you want Clint? Are you here to laugh at my face?”

Clint gave her a hurt look.
“Sorry, I am just a little raw.”
“It is okay, I just came by to make sure you were doing okay.”

“As good as I can be I guess.”
“Nora, are sure it is the best idea for you to be living here? I mean that psycho Eddie is still at large, I am afraid for you.”

Nora sighed, the other thing weighing down on her, her lack of memory of what happened with Eddie Ford.
“Where else can I go Clint? Hmm?”

“How about my house?”

Nora was stunned.

“What? Clint I can’t live with you!”
“Why not?”
“First of all, you and I divorced and secondly I may be heading the same direction with you brother, again.”
She felt the depression hit again, she hated the idea of divorcing Bo, God she really didn’t want that.

“Nora, you lived there after you divorced my brother, hell my father gave you the house. Come on, I think everybody will feel better if you are safe at the mansion.”
Nora hesitated, but then she thought about it.

“Okay, it will have to wait till tomorrow Matthew is at practice, I need to talk to him first.”

“Great! Oh Nora I so happy you be at my house, you’ll be safe.”

Clint left. Nora closed the doors. Her heart hurt so much. The door knocked.
“What did you forget?”
She opened the door to Bo, she immediately went to close it. Bo put his body in the door first.

“Red please let me talk to you.”
Nora let go the door. She looked anywhere but Bo.
“Red please look at me.” She felt his hands reach for hers and she backed away.

“No. What do you want?”

She heard him sigh.

“To tell you I love you, I miss you and I am so sorry, please honey let me try to make this better.”
Nora felt the tears and she shook her head.

“Please leave Bo, I can’t do this.”
“Red please, Red at least let me stay on the couch, I don’t like you being here while Ford is still out there.”

“Well then you should be feeling better, I am moving into the mansion with Clint.”
She finally looks at him, she can see he is hurt. It makes her feel a bit better.

“CLINT! What? Why?”
“Because he came over worried and asked me too.”
“So you just said yes? Honey don’t you think that is weird?”
“Yeah it is, but he is right, I need to be somewhere more safe, mansion seemed logical.”
“Logical, fine, at least I know you’ll be taken care of, but sweetheart, please watch yourself with Clint. I don’t trust him.”
“Don’t trust him? I guess that is two Buchanan men I can’t trust.”
Bo look extremely hurt.

“I love you Red.”
“Yeah, go away, maybe you slut can keep you company.”
Bo turned angry.

“Damn it Nora! I have nothing to do with her, I don’t even remember the night I supposedly slept with her.”
“Guess she was a bad lay, please leave.”
“Fine, but Nora I will never give up on you or us.”
Bo finally turns and leaves. Leaving Nora alone in their home and their memories. She feels more alone than ever.

Chapter 2

Nora moved in with Clint the next day. Matthew was happy. Nora was afraid of Matthew’s anger towards Bo. As much as she was hurting, she never wanted Bo and Matthew to lose their relationship.

“Hey! How you settling in?”
Nora turned and saw Clint, it felt so strange being in this house with him. Last time they lived in this house she was his wife.
“Fine.”
“Nora you feeling okay?”

“Yeah, just been having some stomach issues.”
“Sorry, hey I’ll see you around.”
“Yeah.”

Clint left the room, Nora ran to the bathroom and threw up. She been having that issue for the past two days, it was nerves. With everything that was happening she couldn’t believe she was able to get out of bed.

She heard raised voices and went to investigate.

“What are doing here, stay away from us.”
“Matthew please, I am your father. I love you and I love your mother.”

“You love mom? That is why you cheated on her?”
“Matthew I am not getting into this with you. I will always be here for you, I don’t care how mad you are at me.”
“I don’t want you here.”
“Matthew! Stop, sweetie. I know you father and I are having issues, but please don’t turn away from him.”

Matthew scoffed and left. Leaving Bo and Nora alone.

Nora sat down on the couch. Bo sat close by.

“Nora, honey we found Eddie Ford.”
Nora felt her stomach turn again.

“He’s dead.”
Nora looked at him shocked.

“How?”
“Shot, honey he was found near the car wreck”
Nora looked at him.

“No, Bo, no..don’t tell me I am suspect.”
“Honey you have no memory, and you were found in the area. I am so sorry honey.”

“BO! I..”
She what, she had no memory, what if she did kill him. She started crying. Bo got near her and put his arms around her. She took his comfort. She need his strength.
“Bo, what if I did kill him and I don’t remember?”
“We’ll figure it out honey.” He kissed her hair. She closes her eyes and breathes in his scent, she has missed him so much.

“Master Buchanan, I am happy you are here. Ms Salinger came by to drop off your wallet that you left at her house.”
Nora stiffened, reality crashed on her. She pulled back and ran to another room.
“Stupid Nora.”

Chapter 3

The next few weeks go by slowly.  She had to answer questions at the station, none of which she could even answer since she had her memory loss. The officer doing the questioning are obviously not happy to be doing this and are very easy on her.

“Mrs. Buchanan, please if you remember anything let us know. I hate to tell you this but you’re the number one suspect.”

She nodded and thank the officers. She left to go to her office, she was feeling very lightheaded she can’t shake this bug.  But considering her life is in shambles she isn’t surprised she is sick. She turned the corner and ran into Bo. He grabbed her to steady her.
“Oh Honey are you okay, I am sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
Nora wrenched away from him. I am fine.

“Nora, please, what happened?”
“Nothing, I still can’t remember and I am still the number one suspect.”
“Red, I love you so much, please don’t shut me out when you need me.”
“Bo please I just need some time.”
Nora closed the door behind her, leaving him outside.

She really wanted to have him with her holding her, but her heart was to raw when he was near.

She felt horrible and decided she need to head home.

Nora walked into the mansion. Clint is on the couch reading, she comes over and sits by him. He has actually been very supportive of her and worked with Matthew.

“Hey Clint. How is it going?”

“Fine, how about you? How did the questioning go?”
“As well as one can expect when you have no memory.”
“I am sorry Nora, I wish I could help somehow.”
She smiled.

“You have, by letting us stay here and being my sound board.”

She stood and went to the desk, she started to look through the mail. She felt Clint come behind her she turned to give him the mail. He put her face in his hands and pulled her to him. He kissed her. Nora was in such shock she didn’t do anything. Clint must of took that as encouragement, he pulled her body to his and began to kiss down her neck.
“WHAT IN HELL IS GOING ON!”

Nora jumped causing Clint to let her go. She turned to see Bo, who looked like he was going to kill Clint. Nora just stood there, still not sure what to make of what had just happened.

“What is this? What you planning to get revenge on me for sleeping with Inez by jumping into bed with Clint.”

She started to shake her head, she was so confused.

“Bo, calm down, it just happened.”

“Just happened. No, big brother you have been planning this, having my wife and son move in, getting closer, you never got over Nora did you!”
“Bo, listen to yourself! It just happened.”
Nora’s head hurt.

“Please just stop it! Both of you!”

Nora felt herself stumble. Bo reached for her.

“Red?”

Chapter 4

Nora opened her eyes, she saw the lights going by. What happened? She saw Bo looking down at her. He reached out and cupped her face.

“Oh thank God.”
She realized she was on a gurney in the hospital, they wheeled her into a room. Bo held her hand tight.

The doctors and the nurses started to check her out. The hooked and IV up and took some blood samples. The doctor told them he would be back soon to talk to them.

Bo hand smoothed her hair. She didn’t speak, she was trying to figure out what had happened. Bo kissed her forehead.
“You scared me Red.”
“Sorry.”

The doctor came. He smiled.

“Mrs. Buchanan, can you tell me what happened?”
“I am not sure, I remember feeling a headache and then I was here.”
“Have you been feeling off lately?”
“Yes, I’ve been feeling queasy and lightheaded, but I have been very stressed and haven’t been eating well.”
The doctor nodded taking notes.

“Well you blood pressure is definitely high. We are going to run some blood test, they will be back in a couple of hours. Right now I want to remain here, I think you are a bit dehydrated. So just sit tight.”

Nora thanked the doctor as he left.

“Red?”
She looked at Bo. She sighed.

“You can stay.”
Bo sighed and smiled. He reached out and moved her hair out of her face, taking her hand he kissed it.
“Why don’t you sleep, you look exhausted honey.”
Nora nodded, and closed her eyes.

“I love you Red.”

Chapter 5

Nora felt someone lightly shaking her.
“Red the doctor is back.”

Nora slowly opened her eyes. She saw Bo then the Doctor. She sat up a bit.

“Did the test find anything?”
“Yes, Mr. Buchanan I think you need to sit down.”
Nora felt her throat tighten. She felt Bo hand squeeze hers.

“Mrs. Buchanan, you are pregnant, very early stages.”
Nora stared at the doctor. She did not just hear what she thought she heard. She looked at Bo, who just appeared totally stunned.

“What did you say?”
“You are having a baby, in about 8 months.”
Nora looked at him again, he has to joking right? She began to laugh.

“Oh come on doctor! I am way beyond child bearing age. I mean, we don’t even use birth control because of our age.”
“It happens sometimes, rare, but it does happen.”

Nora laughed she looked over at Bo, he was chalk white. Then she stopped laughing. Oh God. She looked over to the doctor.
“Mrs. Buchanan this pregnancy is very high risk. You have to very careful. I know you have a high stress and profile job, you may want to think about sabbatical while carrying the baby to term.”
She nodded as he talked her through what her next steps will be. She kept looking at Bo who just seemed scared. The doctor finally left leaving them alone. Neither spoke for a long time, both were lost in thought.
“Red?”
“I just don’t know Bo. I just..”
“I love you so much, I am not going to lie, I am scared so much. I have never raised a baby, and now I am pushing 60, and all I can think about is how hard Matthew’s pregnancy was on you and then the birth. Honey you nearly died. Then there is the Inez situation, then the Eddie situation. Our lives are so screwed up.”

She nodded thinking a bit, she hesitantly talked.

“Bo, do you want me to think about termination?”

Bo head shot up, then he remain silent for a long time. He shook his head.

“No, I don’t want you to terminate. I want this baby Nora, I am just so scared.”

Nora felt tears building, she loved this man so much, having his baby was a dream, a dream that she messed up years ago. Now they have a second chance, and their lives are in shambles.
“I am scared too Bo.”

Bo got up and pulled her body to him. They embraced for the first time in weeks. He held her tight and she held him tight.
“I love you Red.”
“I love you too Bo.”

They heard a knock on the door. She looked up and saw Matthew. She waved him in.

“MOM! Are you okay? Uncle Clint said you passed out.”
“Yes, Matthew you need to sit down.”
“Why what is wrong? Dad?”
“Please son, sit down.”

Matthew sat down looking at them. He looked scared.

“Matthew your father and I just found out today, we are pregnant.”
Matthew stared at them both for a long time not saying anything. Then he laughed.

“Yeah, right! Come on tell me what is really going on!”
“Baby, I am having a baby.”

Matthew stopped laughing and got a serious look on his face.
“How? I mean aren’t you..you know.. too old to be having a baby?”
“I don’t know Matthew, but the doctor said it was a definite”
Matthew ran his hands through his hair. Then he stopped he face got a very strange look.
“How far along are you?”
“Doctor said about 4 weeks.”
Matthew cringed and looked like he was about in tears.
“Baby, what is it?”
“Nothing, just that is right around the time you got kidnapped.”
Nora was confused why he’d bring that up.
“Umm, yeah, it probably happened right before.”
Matthew ran his hands through his hair then began to leave.
“I have to go. I am sorry, Congrats.”
Matthew kissed Nora, then ran out of there. Leaving both of his parents confused.

Nora felt Bo kiss her temple.
“Red we need to talk about us.”
She nodded.

Chapter 6

Bo and Nora decided they would have to mend their marriage. They took it very slowly, Nora moved back home. She didn’t feel comfortable staying with Clint after he had kissed her.  Clint seemed to cool towards her greatly after she told him about the pregnancy. Which was probably for the best.  Nora and Bo stayed in different rooms for the time being.  The Eddie investigation continued, while Nora remained a suspect. The police decided to keep investigating others.  The next few months were a time for healing on both Bo and Nora’s part. Nora’s pregnancy was very difficult.  Her body wasn’t handling it well. She often have to remain in bed for a couple hours in the morning. Bo would stay home from work when this happened. She could tell how scared and worried he was.  Matthew began to thaw towards his father, but remain strange about the baby.

Nora was at home one afternoon when the door knocked.

She opened it to Inez.

“What do you want?”
“Hi Nora, umm I need to talk to you about something, something that is very important.”
Nora sighed and let her in.
“What do you need to tell me?”
“Nora, I just found out about your pregnancy.”
Nora looked shocked, she and Bo had wanted to keep it quiet since it was such a high risk.
“How?”
“Clint told me.”
“Why on earth would he tell you such a thing.”
“Because Nora, he is blackmailing me and he wanted me to fake being pregnant so you and Bo will split.”
“WHAT? Inez that makes zero sense.”
“Nora, I never slept with Bo! Clint threatened me and told me to sleep with Bo, but it never happened.”

Nora wasn’t sure what to think, what in the hell was going on? Why would Clint do this?
“Wait, why would Clint do that!”
“Because he is angry at you and Bo, I also think he still is very much in love with you.”

“Inez, that makes no sense.”
“Nora, please listen to me! Bo never slept with me, I drugged him. He kissed me, but he said your name, he thought it was you. Then he passed out. I only made it look like we had sex.”

“Inez that happened over three months ago! Why are just deciding to confess this?”

“After Clint told me about the baby, I couldn’t take it anymore. I been feeling horrible for months, I hated what it did to you and Bo. He loves you so much and to do this to him is so cruel. Nora I am sorry.”
Nora sat on her couch her brain overloaded with all the information. Then Inez added one more thing.
“Nora, I am positive Clint was the one who got Eddie to kidnap you.”

Nora’s head snapped up. She felt tears coming. She heard the door open, but she was too distraught to even look.

Chapter 7(mature)

“What is going on? Inez what are doing here, why are you upsetting Nora?”
Nora stood and went to her husband. She put his face in her hands and smiled at him. She loved him so much. She pulled him to her and kissed him. It was very passionate. Bo pulled her tight to him. She moved her lips across his face before she stopped and just held him.

“Red? Not that I really didn’t love that, but what is going on?”

Nora laughed. She looked over at Inez.

“Tell him Inez.”

Inez told Bo the whole story. Nora held him and nuzzled him. Inez left when she was done. Bo was sitting on the couch in shock. Nora kissed him and caressed him.
Bo smiled at her.
“Red I didn’t cheat.”
She smiled back.

“You didn’t cheat.”

Bo pulled her into his lap and kissed her hard. Nora started to remove his clothes. Bo did the same for her. They had missed each other’s so much. It was going to be hard and fast.

Bo kiss his way down her body.  God, she missed him so much. She moaned and arched her hips when he licked her womanhood. Bo placed her clit in his mouth and sucked. Nora felt a wave of pleasure.
“Bo, please I want you inside me.”

Chapter 8

Bo and Nora spent the rest of the day showing each other how much they missed each other.  Finally ended up in the bedroom.  Nora cuddled close to Bo. His arms stroked up and down her arms, his hand often traveling down to her stomach where their child was. Nora lay against him with so much contentment. She nearly forgot the rest of the world.

The phone rang. Both groaned. Bo reached over and picked it up.

“Buchanan.”

She watched Bo talk on the phone she was so blissfully spent she just smiled, she could feel that her face was still flushed from orgasm. He hung up and groaned. Nora reached over putting her hand on his stomach, rubbing up and down.
“What is it Bo?”
Bo took her hand and kissed it.
“That was work, they found something in Eddie’s file, they want me to look at it.”
“Can’t it wait Bo?”

“Sorry honey”
He stood and started to dress.
“Bo?”
“Yeah honey?”
“Inez didn’t tell you something she told me.”

Bo stopped.

“What?”
“Bo, she thinks Clint was the one who had Eddie kidnap me.”

She could see Bo anger build.

“That son of a bitch! I am going to kill him.”
Nora reached out.
“No! Bo, calm down, we don’t know for sure, but if he did. Bo he may have killed Eddie.”

Bo sat down on the bed and put his hands on his face. Nora moved down beside him. Wrapped in their sheet, she began to rub his shoulders.
“Bo, it is going to be okay. We are back together, there is nothing Clint can do to us anymore.” Bo looked up and smiled then kissed her.
“You are so right.”

Bo started to push her down on the bed. When the door knocked and opened.

“MOM!”

Nora scrambled make sure the sheet covered her. Matthew stood at the door with his mouth wide open. Then he snapped out of it.

“OH yuck!”

He ran out of the room. Bo and Nora laughed. Nora got up with Bo to dress. They walked out together.

“Matthew?”
“I don’t want to know!”
“Okay, but your father and I need to tell you something.”

“Fine, but it better not be gross.”

“It isn’t.”
“Matthew today your father and I found out that he never cheated on me.”
“WHAT? Oh come on I saw him with her.”
“Matthew what you saw was your father after he had been drugged.”
“You can’t expect me to believe this!”
“It is true.”
“Why would she do that? That makes zero sense.”
“We rather not share that right now, not until we have all the facts.”
Matthew rolled his eyes.

“You know if you two want fuck that is fine, but don’t let him off the hook”

Both Bo and Nora anger flared.
“Watch your mouth young man!”

“Don’t you ever talk to you mother like that! What I and your mother do it is making love, we love each other. I never cheated on her, it the truth Matthew.”

“Yeah sure. I need to go.”

Matthew ran out. Nora heart felt heavy. She looked at Bo.
“Bo what is happening to our son?”

Bo shook his head then put her in his arms.

Chapter 9

The next few months Bo and Nora start to quietly put together the pieces of Clint and Eddie. They still have no smoking gun to connect them. Nora suggest they look at phone records. But Bo isn’t sure how that do without flags being sent off.  Nora’s body starts to show the outwards signs of pregnancy.  They finally had no choice but to tell everyone.  Most were shocked, many laughed finding hilarious that they got pregnant. But everybody was happy for the two of them. Matthew attitude got worse as Nora body started show.  He refused to touch her stomach when the baby began to kick. Nora try to hide her hurt. She was so happy about this baby, but Matthew had her so worried.

Nora and Bo were in the living room looking over the Clint file. They decided to only look into this at home when Matthew wasn’t around.
“Bo we need those records.”
“I know honey, I am working on that.”
The door opened, they closed everything really fast. Bo pulled her to him. Matthew walked in.

Bo and Nora were sitting there Bo was rubbing the baby. Nora sighed and cuddled down in him.
“Hey sweetie.”
“Hey.”
“How was your day?”
“Fine.”
“You want dinner, we’ll order delivery.”
“Yeah that is fine.”
Bo helped Nora stand. He went to the phone to order the pizza. Nora picked up their files. Matthew sat down and turn on TV. Nora went to put away the file, when they slipped out of her hands. All the papers came flying out. Nora tried to bend down to get them before Matthew saw them, but her expanding stomach made it difficult.

“Mom, stop! I’ll get them”

Nora felt her heart stopped. Matthew bent down and started pick them up. Then he stopped.

“Why are you and dad investigating Uncle Clint? What does he have to with Eddie?”
Nora could see his anger and confusion.

“Sweetie, we think you Uncle Clint had Eddie kidnap me.”
“What, why would think that? Uncle Clint wouldn’t do something like that!”
Bo walked in, soon realizing what was going on.

“Son, I think you need to sit down. We will tell you everything.”

Matthew was visibly upset while Nora and Bo told them everything they knew.
“No, he wouldn’t. I need to go.”

“Matthew!”

Matthew runs out.

Nora turns towards Bo, he pulls her to him.
“He’ll be fine Red.”

He kissed her hair.

Chapter 10

Nora and Bo became extremely worried about Matthew in the past two weeks. He wouldn’t talk and he had so much anger.

Nora was in the nursery that Bo had set up, setting up a few more things. She heard footsteps.

“Matthew?”

“Yeah mom.”

“Can you come here?”
She heard him get closer. He stopped at the door, he wouldn’t come in.
“Honey, why are so upset about this baby?”
“I am not.”
“Yes you are, you won’t feel the baby kick and you refuse even walk into this room.”
“Mom please I don’t want to talk about this.”
“Sweetie I don’t understand.”
She heard Bo walk behind Matthew.

“Hey what is going on?”
“Nothing.”
“No! Matthew tell me what is going on. Why are you so cold about this baby? Do you think your father and I will love you less?”
“NO!”
“Then what!”
“Matthew, please answer you mom.”

Matthew looked between them his anger obviously growing.

“BECAUSE THE BABY ISN’T DAD’S!”
Nora felt as though she was slapped, she looked at him then Bo. She was confused.

“Matthew what in the world are you talking about? I haven’t been with anyone but your father in a very long time.”
“Matthew you mother hasn’t cheated on me.”

“I KNOW! I KNOW!”
“Then why do you think the baby isn’t your dad’s?”

Matthew put his hands over his head and crying. Nora was so shocked. She walked towards Matthew. She put her hands on him.

“Sweetie, please something is eating you alive. Please tell us!”
“I SAW IT.”

Nora looked at Bo. Bo put a hand on Matthew.

“What did you see?”
“I SAW EDDIE... eddie and mom”

Matthew began to sob. Nora looked at Bo. He looked like a ghost. She was confused. She felt like she was missing something.

“Eddie? What?”
“Red, maybe you should stop.”
“Stop? Why, Bo do you understand? Matthew?”

Matthew whispered.

“Rape, I found him raping you”

Nora froze. Her mind trying to process what she had heard. Bo grabbed her. He was talking to her. She couldn’t hear him. Matthew was on the floor crying.

“Red! RED!”

She snapped back.

“No. No Bo..I NO!”

Then her brain started to put things together. The baby, Matthew’s anger, the baby might not be Bo’s. She felt her he knees buckle. Bo held her up. He guided her to the rocking chair.

Then her mind started to flash to that night. She remember. No. She tried to stop all the memories. She got out the car, then Eddie..he found her on the side of the road. He had a gun. He had her take off her clothes...No. He was on her, hurting her, then she remembered, someone pulled him off and shot…

“Matthew.”

She felt the world turn black.

Chapter 11

Nora woke up in a hospital room. She looked around and saw Bo, he looked deep in thought and had tears in his eyes. She remembered. Eddie and Matthew. She felt her own tears starting.

“Bo.”

He looked up, he stood and went to her. Both of them started to cry. Bo got in the bed with her, holding her tight. He kissed her hair, Nora sobbed. The baby kicked. She moved her hands to her stomach. She looked at Bo. He kissed her.

“I love you, I love Matthew, and I love this baby.”

She clung to him. Trying to forget everything.

Suddenly she felt dirty. She tried to push Bo away.
“No, Nora, no. I love you so much. Don’t push me away. I am never going to let you or this baby go.”

She began to cry even harder. Bo rocked her. She felt exhaustion come over her, she fell asleep.

When she woke again. She was in the room alone. She got up, she needed to use the restroom. She heard voices raised. She walked out to see what was going on.

“YOU SON OF BITCH! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS!”
Bo had Clint by the collar.

“HE RAPED HER! THAT BABY MAYBE HIS!”

Nora went as fast as she could towards them.
“I am so sorry Bo, I never wanted her hurt, not like that, never. I love her.”
“SO YOU HANDED HER TO A PSYCHO!”

“I was just trying to ruin your marriage, I never thought..I never”
“Bo! Let go of him.”

Bo looked over at her. He let go of Clint. He was trying to control his rage. Nora went to him. She put her arms around him. He pulled her to him burying his head in the crook of her neck. She felt him run his hand down her back and then to her stomach. She felt him relax in her arms. He pulled back and putting her face in his hands he kissed her. He put her forehead on hers. Both taking comfort from each other.

Nora then noticed Clint was still there.
“Please leave Clint, don’t bother us ever again.”
“Nora.”
“LEAVE!”

Clint looked down and left.
“Bo, what about Matthew.”
Bo sighed and squeezed her. He let her go and took her hand. He walked her toward her room. He closed the door.

“Matthew is at home right now, we need to discuss what to do.”
“Bo, he was protecting me..God how did this happen.”
“Clint!”
Nora felt sick.
“Bo he has to turn himself in.”
Bo nodded.

“Nora, if he does everybody will know..are you okay with that?”
“That everybody will know I was raped? That my baby may not be my husband’s? That my baby boy murdered the son of bitch because he was protecting me? No Bo, I will never be okay with anybody knowing about that.”

She took a deep breath, trying to control her overwhelming emotions. She looked down at her protruding stomach.

“Bo? What about the baby?”
“Do you mean how I feel about that monster perhaps being the baby’s father?” She nodded trying not to cry. “Red, I am sick, just sick that son of bitch raped you. If he was alive I’d probably kill myself. But I love you and I will love that baby, no matter who the father is.”

Nora felt her emotions overflow. Her tears started to roll down her face. Bo pulled her to him holding her tight.

“Thank you Bo.”
He kissed her.
“I love you and I will always, ALWAYS be here.”

Chapter 12

Nora and Bo headed home to Matthew. They walked into the house, Matthew was on the couch with red eyes. Nora sat next to him and pulled him to her. They both started to cry. She felt Bo envelope them both in his arms. They all remain in the embrace for several minutes. Finally they released each other. Nora took Matthew’s hands into hers, Bo sat on the coffee table and put his hand on theirs.

“Matthew I remember, I remember Eddie and I remember you.” Nora swallowed finding it hard to continue. “Honey I remember you shooting Eddie, is that what happened.”
Matthew nodded, he took a deep breath.

“Mom, I was the other driver that pushed you and Rex off the road, at first I didn’t see anything, so I didn’t stop, but I thought maybe I missed something. So I went back and I saw Rex. I got out of car.” Matthew’s tears started to flow. “Then, I heard..I heard you screaming. I ran towards the sounds” Matthew shook his head. “I am so sorry mom, it was awful, he was hurting you, I pushed him off you. He came towards me and tried to hit me, he missed so he tackled me. We were on the ground fighting, and I saw the gun, I was able to grab it. Then I shot him. It was awful, so awful, but you were safe. I went to you, but you were only semi-conscious. I covered you, then you passed out.”
Matthew stopped talking.

“Matthew why did you leave your mom out there?”

Matthew took a deep breath.

“I realized after mom had passed out, what I had really done. I panicked and call Uncle Clint.  He told me to stay put, he’d be right there. So I did what he told me to do, but I dressed you as I waited, I knew you had to be so cold. When Uncle Clint got there, I just told him I found Eddie trying to attack you. I never told what really happened to you, I couldn’t. Then he helped me hide Eddie’s body. I went to grab you, but he stopped me. He told me to keep you there, that he had something that would keep you safe. I didn’t want to leave you mom, but he insisted he’d keep you safe.  I left, I don’t know what he did.”

Nora and Bo remained silent for a long time. Nora kissed Matthew.

“I am so sorry sweetie, sorry you had to see that, sorry you had to do that, but honey you need to turn yourself in. I don’t think you’ll have to serve time, it was self-defense.”
Matthew nodded.

“I know mom, will you and dad go with me?”
“Of course son, it can wait till tomorrow. Tonight why don’t we stay home and get a pizza and watch some movies as a family.”
Matthew nodded. Nora pulled him close to her.

“We love you so much Matthew.”
“I love you too.”

Chapter 13

The next weeks had to been awful. Her baby boy had confessed to murdering Eddie Ford, the ADA agreed to plead it down. Matthew would be on parole for the next 6 years, but he will not have to serve time. Clint, he actually confessed to everything, hiring Eddie having Nora kidnapped and helping Matthew cover up Eddie’s murder. When asked what he did after Matthew left.

“I stayed all night, I stayed till you found her, I swear Bo I never wanted him to hurt her.”

Clint was obviously haunted by the fact that his actions caused Nora to be raped, but Bo made it perfectly clear to his brother that he was never to get near Matthew or Nora ever again.

Nora was a mess, she was dealing with her rape and trying to come to terms with her baby may not be her husband’s. Bo was her rock through the whole thing.

Her pregnancy was becoming harder and harder on her body. The doctor was threatening bed rest if she didn’t take it easier. She was too high risk for them to do a DNA test while the baby was in womb, she would have to wait till after the baby was born. Bo kept insisting it didn’t matter. She just kept thinking of the day when her baby would find out, what will her answer be?

She was lying in bed, she was feeling really sick. Bo came into the bedroom.
“Hey honey, feeling any better?”

“Nora, what is wrong.”
“Bo, there is something wrong with the baby.” Bo moved and tried to help her off the bed. She felt another stabbing pain. She nearly fell, but Bo caught her. He picked her up.
“I am taking you to the hospital.”

Bo drove them to the hospital using his siren. The pain kept get worse, Nora was in tears. Bo let her squeeze his hand, she was probably breaking it. Bo stopped the car in front of the emergency room. Nora screamed as Bo helped her out, the pain was so bad. She saw the doctors and Nurses running towards them. The gurney was right by her. That was the last thing she remembered.

Chapter 14

Nora woke very confused. She realized she was in a hospital, then she remembered, the pain. The baby! Her hands went to her stomach, it was flat. She panicked, she removed her IV and tried to sit up, but was stopped with a searing pain.
Bo came in and saw her.
“Red, what are doing?”
“The baby, where is the baby?”
“Red you need to calm down, stop!” Bo reached for her. “The baby is fine! She is fine!”

Nora finally heard what he was saying. She calmed.
“She, we had a girl.”
Bo smiled.

“Yeah, she is beautiful. Looks just like you.”

“Where is she?”
“She is in the PICU, she is a little small. Matthew is with her right now.”

“When can I see her?”
“Not sure, why don’t we go get a doctor.”
She nodded too tired to really answer. He kissed her and went to find a doctor.

A minute later the doctor came in.
“Hello Nora, how are feeling?”
“I am in a lot of pain, what happened?”
“You went into early labor. Your body went to shock by the time you to us. We did an emergency c-section.”
“Is the baby okay?”
“Yes, she won’t be able to home until she’s bigger, but she looks good and is breathing on her own, I think she’ll do fine.”
“Can I see her?”
“Of course, let’s get a nurse to get you a wheelchair, you shouldn’t be walking around right now.”

The nurse came in, Bo helped her into the wheelchair. They headed to PICU. The wheeled in, Nora saw Matthew he was holding the baby. She smiled. Matthew looked up.

“Hi Mom.”
“Sweetie, how is she?”
“She is perfect.”
Nora felt her heart melt. Matthew hands her the baby.
“What is her name?”
Nora smiled and looked at Bo.

“Well Bo, you got to choose the name if the baby was a girl.”

Bo shuffled a bit.
“I was thinking maybe Charlotte Rachel?”

Nora smiled and looked down at the baby.
“I think it is perfect Bo.”

Bo visibly relaxed he gave her a big smile.

Chapter 15

Nora had to stay in hospital for at least a week. She spent most of time in PICU. Charlotte was growing well, they felt she’d be able to go home when Nora did.

She feed her daughter, she felt him come in the room.
“Hey handsome.”
“How did you know?”
“I know.”

Bo kissed the top of her head.  He sat next to her, he placed his hand on their daughter’s head. Nora looked at him, she wasn’t sure how to bring it up.

“Bo, we need to talk about her paternity.”

Bo stiffened. Then he stood up and walked towards the door, he closed it.

“Nora please we don’t need to do this.”
She felt her tears coming.
“Bo she might not be yours.”
“I don’t care Red, I don’t care! She is mine, she always will be.”
“But Bo.”
“No Nora! I love her, I don’t care whose DNA she has, and she is my daughter. I don’t want to talk about his again.”

Nora nodded. She kissed Charlotte. Bo kiss her and left. Nora watched him walk down the hall. She cuddled Charlotte, hoping Bo was really okay as he was acting.

Bo took a 6 month leave as commissioner, saying he missed raising this three sons no way he was missing raising his daughter. Nora fell harder for her husband watching him with their daughter. He was so adorable with her. She walk into a room and find them staring at each other. Matthew had gotten over his problems with the baby; he was a happy and protective big brother. Nora life was perfect, but she still had that nagging doubt about who Charlotte’s paternity. Charlotte was a little clone of Nora, she couldn’t see Bo, but the good thing she couldn’t see Eddie either.

The day was pretty quiet, Nora was in the nursery putting away the never ending laundry her children seemed to produce. Bo was in the living room with Charlotte. “I’ll get it honey.”

Nora continued with her folding. She heard Bo talking to whoever as the door, then he sounded upset. She went to investigate. Nora walked into the living room Bo had a piece of paper in his hand and he looked very angry.

“Bo, is that a subpoena?”
“YES! That sob, I can’t believe this, he is dead.”

“Bo, calm down, what is it about.”
Bo handed her that paper. She read it. She looked up at Bo.

“Bo this can’t be real, no way.”
She felt her heart seized in actual terror. She looked at Bo who was holding Charlotte very close to him, he looked like he was about to cry.

Eddie’s Ford family was suing for custody of Charlotte.

Chapter 16

“Who in the hell do they think they are? First we have no idea if Eddie is even her father, second HE RAPED ME!”

Nora felt so much rage that she was ready to cry. Bo came behind her and kissed her head. She felt Charlotte little hands grabbing for her. She turned into Bo, embracing him and their daughter. They stood there for several minutes. Charlotte cuddled between them enjoying the warmth, she soon fell asleep. Bo released Nora, both of them kissed her tiny head. Bo took her to her room and minute later he return. Nora looked at him, he looked so scared. He sat on the couch and ran his hand through his hair.
“Honey do they have any chance they could win?”

“I don’t see them getting full custody rights, but they could win visitation rights. Bo, we need to do a DNA test.”

She felt him suck in his breath.

“Bo, I know you love her, I know you will never turn your back on us, but we need to find out. Once we do that we can decide what to do next.”

Bo put his arms around her.

“I am so scared Red. I have been since we found out she might not be mine. I didn’t want to do the DNA test, I was so afraid it would make me resent her, that she’d be a constant reminder of what that monster did to you. But I love her so much. I hate the idea she might not really be mine, but you are right, we need to know.”

Nora nuzzles him.

“I love you Bo OUR daughter loves you, DNA doesn’t change that.”

“I know, Red what are we going to do if she isn’t mine.”
“We will fight, I will not let them to be near our daughter.”
“How did they even find out about this? The rape was kept quiet. Besides you, me, Matthew, and a few officers who really knows.”
Nora looked down.

“Clint.”
Bo stiffened.

“Bo it might not be him, there were other people in the hospital when you and him got in a fight.”

Bo didn’t say a word.

“Bo?”

“I am fine honey, I just am sad to think I wouldn’t surpise if he had done this.”

“Don’t worry Matthew, they will not get her.”
Matthew tries to control his anger.
“Do we know if she is Eddie’s?”
“No honey we do not, after she was born we decided to not to a DNA test.”
“Are you doing a DNA test?”
“We have no choice.”
“What if the DNA test shows her is Eddie’s then what?”
“We fight, we will not let her go, even for visitation.”

“Maybe I should move out.”
“Matthew! NO! Why would do that?”
“If she does turn out to Eddie’s having his murder in the house with her will hurt your case.”
“NO!”
“Son, you need to stay here, we are family! Charlotte will be so sad without you. And you were just a son who was trying to protect him mother from a monster.”

Matthew cried. Nora sat down next her son and hugged him.

“We love you Matthew, you are not leaving, ok?”
He nodded. Nora looked at her husband who seemed lost in thought.

Chapter 17

Bo had John get Eddie’s DNA from evidence brought to the hospital. Bo sits on the table with Charlotte, she is playing with his tie, totally unaware of the turmoil her parents are feeling at the moment. Nora watches them from her chair, her stress level is nearly unbearable. The technician finished getting the samples from Bo and Charlotte.

“I have everything I need, it will be a couple of days before the results come in.”
“Call us right away, we don’t care what time.”
“I understand.”
The technician left leaving them alone. Nora walks over to them. She runs her hand down the baby’s back, then it reaches up and cups Bo’s face. He looks in her eyes.  He gives her a sad half smile.

“Why don’t we go out for ice cream?”
Bo laughed.
“I think this calls for ice cream, let’s go.”

Nora takes Bo’s hand as they walk out of the hospital together.

Nora sits at the table eating ice cream. Charlotte keeps trying to grab the sunday.
“Baby you can’t have this yet, in a couple of months you’ll get some.”
Bo started to laugh and Nora looked down.
“Oh no!”

Charlotte had somehow managed to get some of the chocolate and smeared it all over her face and clothes.

“Bo, stop laughing and help me.”
Bo still laughing gets up and picks up Charlotte and holds her away from him. He heads towards the bathroom with her.

“You stay here honey I’ve got her.”

“Thank you Bo.”

Nora started to clean up the table. She threw away their trash and turned and ran into someone. She stumbled a bit.

“Oh I am so sorry.”

She looked up to see who she ran into and felt blood run cold.
“You’re Nora Buchanan aren’t you?”
She remained silent.

“Bitch are Nora Buchanan?”

She felt herself starting to back away and shaking her head.

“You are dead!”

The person smiled.
“No baby, I am his brother, Mike Ford, I believe you are the mother of my brother’s youngest and the mother of his killer.”

“Is that my brother’s daughter? My, she certainly looks like her mother.”
“Stay away from us.”
“I don’t think so, that girl is part of my family.”
“Your brother forced himself on my wife, if she is his daughter you have no rights to her.”
Bo takes Nora’s arm and they begin to walk out.

“Oh I don’t think so, that girl is my family and I’ll get her from you family, no matter how powerful you may be. Besides looking at your wife, I am guessing she opened her legs willingly.”

This was more than Bo could take. He turned and punched Mike in the face. He took Nora’s hand and he walked out fast before Mike could recover.

The police department was extremely protective of Nora and Charlotte, she always spotted an officer nearby when she was out in town.

They four of them were enjoying a rare moment of them all being home. The phone rang. Matthew ran to answer it.

“Buchanan house.”

Nora and Bo were entertaining Charlotte. She looked up at Matthew, he had a very serious look on his face as he walked over with the phone.

“Hospital.”

He hung up and looked at them.

“Results are in.”

“We have to go honey.”

Matthew came along, he wanted to be there when they found out.

The four of them came into the hospital where the technician came out to greet them. He ushered them into the back.

“I have the results to the DNA test. I can stay here and read them to you or you can read them yourselves. It is up to you.”

Nora looked at Bo.

“We’ll read them”
“Okay, if you have any questions I’ll be in my office.”

They thanked him as left. They all stared at the envelope, none of them really wanting to read it. Nora put out a shaky hand to pick it up. She handed Charlotte to Bo. She opened the envelope.

Nora read the results out loud.

“The alleged Father Bo Buchanan is excluded as the biologic..”

She couldn’t read anymore. She began to sob. She looked up at Bo and Matthew. Both men crying. Her baby was Eddie’s. Matthew ran out of the room. Nora walked over to Bo. He reached out and held her to him tight. Nora’s arms went around his head and kissed his hair. She kept waiting for herself to wake up, for this nightmare to end.

Chapter 20

Nora sat on her couch with her baby sleeping on her chest. She cuddled her. She was in shock. They had learned Charlotte wasn’t Bo two days ago and she still was in denial. Her denial was slowly turning into fear, now they had to fight Eddie’s brother in court for custody. Matthew was also a big worry for her. He was so worried about his past hurting them in the custody battle. She and Bo insisted he was not going to hurt this case, but he seemed unconvinced.

Nora heard the door open, she looked, and her heart hurt more. Bo came in, he looked so very sad. Bo hadn’t said much, but she could tell this was killing him.

He gave her small smile and kissed her. He gently picked that baby up off of Nora. He held her to him rubbing her tiny back and kissing her. Nora’s heart broke as she heard him whispering.

“Daddy’s girl, daddy loves you so much.”

She couldn’t stop the tears from falling. She got up and walked over to the window. She heard him walking into Charlotte's room. The phone rang she picked it up.

“Buchanan.”
“Mrs. Buchanan?”
“Yes.”

“This is Tom Meister I am the lawyer for Mike Ford. I am calling to let you know we know about the test results and that in fact you daughter is Eddie Ford’s.”
“How did you find that out? Those are private medical test.”
“It doesn’t matter how, what matters is that we have a legitimate case and we are proceeding. We will be seeing you in court soon.”

She hung up. Nora felt her rage building. How dare that son of bitch get her medical records, and how dare any of them think they have any rights to her daughter. That bastard raped her, they have NO rights to anything.

“Red? Honey who was that?”

She sniffed and wiped her tears off her face.

“That was Tom Meister, he is Mike’s lawyer.” She saw Bo stiffen “He is informing us that he knows of the DNA test and he will be seeing us in court soon.”

“WHAT! How did he find out about our private medical test?”
“I asked him, he wouldn’t answer.”
“Red I am so angry right now, if we lose our baby girl to that son of bitch I am not sure what I’ll do.”
Nora ran to him. She put his face in her hands. She kissed him. He pulled her to him returning the kiss. They pulled back and pressed their foreheads together.
“We will beat this Bo, our baby isn’t going near any Ford.”
Bo kissed her forehead then put her head on his chest. Nora closed her eyes and listened to his heart.

“You’re right, she isn’t going anywhere, we are loving and stable parents, and they have no case.”

They stood in there holding each other. Then Charlotte woke and let her parents know it. Nora smiled.

“I am guessing she is hungry.”

Bo nodded as he let her go. She picked up her daughter and began to feed her. She heard Bo walk in, she looked at him and saw it in his face. Determination. She smiled for the first time since this began. Mike Ford won’t know what hit him.

Chapter 21

Two weeks later they were in court for the first time. Nora called in some favors and got the state’s best family attorney.  She smiled when she saw Tom Meister’s face when they walked in with Ben Jones.  Mike Ford was just as creepy as his brother. Nora was thankful that Bo put himself between herself and Mike. He looked at her just like Eddie had, she just felt uncomfortable.

The judge had come in, Tom got to start.  He presented the DNA test and presented the case that Bo and Nora the rich family trying to hide an affair and keep the baby away from her true family. Nora felt so disgusted, Bo was so tense she kept rubbing his back and kissing his cheek.

He called Mike to the stand. Nora got even closer to Bo, he must have felt her fear, he put his arms around her and held her.

“Mr. Ford, when did you find out about you niece?”
“About 3 months after she was born. I was absolutely shocked that women whose son killed my brother was also the women who gave birth to his youngest.”

“What happened when you first contact the Buchanans?”
“I got a back off reply, then later when I ran into them in public, Mr. Commissioner punched me in the face.”
“Why did he do that?”
“I wanted to see my niece and I said something about the affair his wife and Eddie had had.”
Nora felt sick.

“Why do you want to get your niece?”
“I want her to be raised in a loving family, the Buchanans have proved to be violent. Between their son killing my brother and the commissioner punching me, I don’t want that girl near them.”
“Thank you Mr. Ford.”
Ben got up and walked up to Mike.
“So you are saying you niece is a product of an affair?”
“Yeah, Eddie bragged about banging the DA to me.”
“Really how did he do that he knew the DA for about 48 hours before he was killed.”
“Umm, well he called me right away, Eddie was a blowhard like that.”
“Mr. Ford you are really going to sit there and claim that happened even though there is all sort of evidence you brother raped Nora Buchanan.”
“Oh please, she is a slut! We all know her past!”

Nora felt Bo move, she put her hand on his to stop him from getting up.
“And for the violent nature, Mrs. Buchanan son was given parole because it was proven he was protecting her from your very violent brother.”
“LIES! Eddie never raped that bitch!”

The judge finally stepped in.

“Mr.Ford you keep talking about Mrs. Buchanan like that again I’ll put you in jail.”
“Fine.”
“Mr. Ford, isn’t a fact that Mr. Buchanan hit you because you were getting physical towards his wife?”
“She was all over me, he just couldn’t handle his hot little wife.”

“Really, she was all over you with her daughter and husband nearby?”
“Oh yeah.”
Ben laughed and sat back down.

Mike got down and leered at Nora. Nora held on to Bo, who she could tell was fighting not to punch him again.

“Do you have anyone else to call to the stand?”

“Yes, Bobby Ford.”
Nora watched Bobby walk up to the stand.
“Mr. Ford what is your relationship to Charlotte Buchanan?”

“She is my half-sister.”
“Do you think she should be part of your life?”
Bobby looked over at Bo and Nora.
“I would like to be, but I understand if they want to keep the Fords out their lives.”
This upset Tom greatly, he obviously thought Bobby was going to be on their side.

“Bobby, do think your uncle would be a better person to raise Charlotte?”
Bobby laughed.

“NO! He is just as bad as my father, and his is a liar. I have no doubt Eddie raped Mrs. Buchanan and I have no doubt Matthew was protecting his mother. He needs to leave the Buchanans alone, leave that baby alone.”

Tom just gave up. Ben stood up.

“Mr. Ford thank you for coming here today. Now why do you think your father raped Mrs. Buchanan?”
“Because he was extremely violent, he use to beat me and my mom all the time. It was nonstop. And I saw him when Mrs. Buchanan was in the room, it made me so uncomfortable.”

“And you think your uncle is similar to this?”
“Yes, I saw him beat his own children, he is a monster, keep that baby far away from him. The Buchanans are good people who love their son and their daughter very much. I don’t care what the DNA test say, Charlotte's dad is Bo Buchanan.”
Nora squeezed Bo’s hand.

“Thank you Mr. Ford.”

“Mr. Meister, do you have any other witnesses?”
“No”

Tom looked pissed. The judge stood and left.
Bo and Nora stood and went to leave. Mike Ford stared them down as they did.

Chapter 22

Bo and Nora got home after the trial. Matthew and Charlotte were on the floor playing together. Nora heart warmed at the sight. Matthew turned.

“How did it go?”
Bo smiled.

“I think Mr. Ford bite off more than can chew. Bobby Ford got on the stand and eviscerated his uncle and father. Mike chances are significantly lower to getting near Charlotte.”
She saw Matthew breathed a sigh of relief.

“Did I get brought up?”
Nora looked at Bo, he nodded.

“Yes, but Bobby was very much in support of your story.”

Matthew look a bit more relaxed.

“Well I say we get some pizza for dinner!”

“Agreed!”
“I would love to, but I have a group project that I need to meet with.”
“Ok sweetie, see you later.”
“K, bye.”
Matthew runs over and kisses Charlotte then his mother, and leaves. Bo goes to order the pizza as Nora heads over to the floor to pick up Charlotte. Bo came over and kissed Charlotte who was a happy little girl to have her parents back in the house. She cuddled into Nora as they sat and watched TV, she fell asleep right as the pizza came.

Nora and Bo sat on the couch at ate.

“Bo, what are we going to do when she is old enough? With the internet, there is no way she won’t find out at some point.”
Bo sighed.

“I don’t know Red. I never thought I’d ever have to explain to my child they were a product of rape that they were not made of love.”
Nora nodded.

“But Red, we love her so much. Matthew loves her. She is ours, I hope that she knows that when we finally tell her. That our love will lessen her pain when she finds out.”

Nora felt the tears fall. She looked at her husband, he was such a wonderful man she didn’t know what she’d do without him. She reached for him bringing him in for her passionate kiss.

“I love you so much Bo.”
He returned the kiss.

“I love you to Red.”
Nora stood holding her hand out.

“Show me how much.”

Bo smiled and took her hand. He kissed her as they made their way to the bedroom.

Chapter 23

Nora felt her nerves return in full force, she and Bo would be getting on the stand today.  While she had no doubt they’d do great, she still get nervous. She had never had to discuss her rape in public like this. Ben came in.

“You two ready?”

“Yes, but I am really nervous.”
Bo kissed her temple.

“You don’t have anything to nervous about, Bobby helped a lot, just tell the truth.”
Nora nodded.

Mike and Tom came in, both looked at them. Nora hated the way Mike looked at her.

The judge came in. Ben called Bo first.

“Mr. Buchanan, when did you first find out that Charlotte may not be yours?”
Bo looked at Nora.

“When she was about 6 months pregnant. My son told us that he found Eddie raping his mother, Nora had blanked that night out her mind. She didn’t remember until that moment.” He swallowed hard. “We realized the baby may be his”
“What were you feelings towards the baby then?”
“I loved that baby, no matter who her biological father may have been, she was my daughter.”
“Did you do a DNA test?”
“No, we decided we didn’t want to know, it wasn’t till Mr. Ford sued us we had no choice.”
“What did you feel when found out.”
Bo started to tear up.

“I was devastated, my little girl wasn’t really mine. I love more than ever, but I have to tell her at some point she isn’t really mine. I just can’t imagine what that will feel like. I love her so much.”

“Thank you.”
Tom got up.

“Mr. Buchanan you are telling me that you don’t feel any resentment towards Charlotte.”
“No, she is a baby, she has no fault in what that monster did to my wife.”
“Why didn’t you inform his family that they had a niece?”
“They have no rights to her, not after what he did to Nora.”
“You keep saying what he did? How can you be so certain? I mean your wife has been unfaithful before.”
“He raped her.”
“But how can you be sure.”
“I am not going to answer that, he raped her.”
“Are you sure wife didn’t just seduce him, then cry rape when caught by your son.”
Bo looked him and breathed.

“You aren’t going to get anywhere with this line of questioning. Eddie was a violent creep who had a thing for my wife, he took her and when she got away he found her again and forced himself on her. We have lots of evidence to prove that.”

“Mr. Buchanan you act like you have never been pushed to violence. But what about what happen between you and Mr. Mike Ford.”
“That creep was harassing my wife and pushing her against the wall, I made sure he understood I wouldn’t take that.”

“Tell me the truth your wife open her legs for Eddie and now you are taking it out on his brother.”
Bo stood.
“OBJECTION”
“Sustained watch yourself Mr. Meister.”
“Of course, that is all.”
Bo got down. Ben called Nora.

“Mrs. Buchanan, can you tell me how you memory came back to you about the rape.”
“My son had been acting strange since he found out about the baby. I finally asked him about it.” Nora took a deep breath. “He finally confessed that he had saw Eddie rape me. My memories came at me when told me that, I remembered everything. The rape and Matthew pulling him off and killing Eddie.”

“How did you feel.”
“Scared, devastated. Having a baby with BO was always a dream, the first time, I screwed up so badly. We got a miracle a second change, when I realized that baby maybe a man who rapped me and not from the man I loved more than life, I was crushed.  I knew Bo would love the baby no matter what, but I wanted her to be his. I am so scared how I am going to tell her about this.”

“The DNA test? What happened?”

“We went in as a family. We left as a family, I don’t care what the results were.”
“Thank you Mrs. Buchanan.”
Tom came up to her smiling.

“So you telling me the first time you had a baby with your husband you cheated on him? But this time it was rape?”
“Yes. I will always regret what happened during Matthew’s pregnancy, yes I cheated on Bo, but Eddie forced himself on me.”
“Something you conveniently forgot till you son was named as the killer.”
“I named him as the killer after I remembered.”
“Hmmm, so are telling me you love your daughter as much as you love you son?”
“I love all three of my children the same, I love them so very much.”

“Mrs. Buchanan you are trying to cover another affair aren’t you.”
“NO! Eddie was a creep he kidnapped me, he tied me up, he groped me, and tortured me mentally. Then I get away and he found me again, this time he raped me. It was the worst night of my life, I would never ever let that man touch me willingly.”
“Fine, I am done.”

Nora got of the stand walking right to her husband. He hugged her tight.

The judge began to speak.

“I am going make a decision right now, I don’t need to think about this. Mr. Ford you are violent criminal whose brother raped Mrs. Buchanan. You have no rights to this child. I am ordering you to never make contact with Charlotte Buchanan or any of the Buchanan family ever again. If you do you will be sent to jail. Charlotte Buchanan will remain in the custody of Bo and Nora Buchanan, congratulations.”
Bo hugged Nora, kissing her passionately. She returned the passion.

Ben shook their hand congratulating them.

Bo and Nora headed home to their family, family that will never be taken away from them.

Chapter 24

The next year goes by in a flash. Matthew began college. Charlotte was a typical toddler talkative and getting into everything. Bo and Nora were blissfully happy. Nora never voiced it, but she was so happy that Charlotte showed no physical traits of Eddie Ford, she looked exactly like Nora.

Nora was reading a file at home. Bo was still at the station. There had been a rash of violent attacks including a few rapes. Nora felt pressure in her chest when she thought about it. Even after all this time her rape haunted her.

“MAMA!”

Nora was brought out of her thoughts by her daughter. She smiled as the toddler waddled over and to hand her mother a toy.

“What do you have there sweetie? Oh is that Nemo?”
“Neno”

Nora began to play with Charlotte. The door opened.

“Dada!”
Bo smiled.

He reached down and swept Charlotte into his arms. He kissed all over her face. She giggled. He came over by Nora and sat down next to her. He leaned over and kissed. Charlotte wigged down and ran over to her toys again.

Nora leaned into his chest sighing at the contentment she felt being near him.

“How did it go?”
“It is awful Red, we can’t catch a break. This guy is terrorizing people, I just want to catch him.”
“I am sorry Bo.”
He leaned down and kissed her nose.

“Don’t, you and our little one bring me such joy.”
She smiled and snuggled into him again.

They enjoyed the rest of the night. Finally putting Charlotte to bed. Nora pulled Bo towards the bedroom. He smiled.

“What you doing Red?”
She kissed him.
“I am going to make sure all the stress get released out of you body.”
She kissed his neck and began to unbutton his shirt.
“Yeah baby, I love how you release my stress.”
The reach the bed and Nora lets go of him and strips. She pushes him on the bed and straddled him.  They both moaned when she rubbed his hardness. Nora reached down to take him out of his pants.

Then the phone rang. Both groaned.

“Don’t get it baby.”
“I have to Red, it may be important.”
She sighed and climbed off him. He picks up the phone.
“Buchanan...WHAT?..Fine, I’ll be there.”
Nora was disappointed as Bo looked over her.
“Sorry honey, there is another attack.”
“Its ok Bo, find that sob.”
He kisses her.

“Love you.”

“Love you too.”

Nora sighed, hot and bother, she save that for him later. She got up and got ready for bed. She check on Charlotte before heading to the shower.  That little girl was curled and sound asleep Nora sighed and smiled. Then headed to take a shower.

She got out of the shower and started to put on a silk nighty, hoping Bo would be home in enough time to enjoy it. Then she heard a noise in the living room.
“Bo? Are you home?”

She got no response. She she headed out.
“Hello?”

Someone grabbed her putting their hand over her mouth to cover her scream. They pushed her into the bedroom and threw her on the bed.

She looked up. Her body stilled in terror.

Chapter 25

Mike Ford stood in front of her, giving her a creepy smile. Nora found her voice.

“What the hell are doing?”
“I am here to continue what my brother started, baby you look amazing in that nighty.”

“You will get life if you touch me!”
“I doubt that, but it may worth it.”

Nora was so scared, she was trying to find way to stop him. She was afraid if he attacked her he would take Charlotte.  She got off the bed.

“Fine, you can do what you want, but please don’t do anything to Charlotte.”
Mike laughed.

“Oh my God you still don’t know.”
“Know what?”
He laughed harder.

“Charlotte isn’t Eddie’s.”
Nora felt a tug in her heart, could he be telling the truth?
“What do you mean, we had a DNA test.”
“Yeah a test I screwed with. You see the second sample wasn’t Bo’s, it was mine...You’re baby girl is 100% Buchanan.”
Nora felt her tears starting.
“Why?”
“Because I wanted money! I figured two you pay me off, but no you used the legal system.”

“But how? How did you find out about Charlotte and how did you change the test?”

Mike smiled.

“Oh, that. I found out just by chance. I found out that Bobby knocked up a rich skank. So I wanted to find out more about her family, maybe get some money out Bobby. Then I read about you and your son, how he killed my brother. I was pissed he got only parole. Then I wondered how he pulled that off, even with all your money and connections, that is hard to do. So I looked into it more and put it all together. As for the DNA test? Baby I have been breaking into places all my life, a hospital lab was nothing. Now, where were we?”

Mike walked towards her Nora, started to move back. He pinned her against the wall and kissed her neck and started to move down her body.
“Please stop.”
Mike hands let go of her and started to push her nighty up her legs. Nora took advantage and grabbed the lamp and hit him with it. He dropped, Nora ran she reached the living room grabbing the phone. She dialed the station.

“LPD”
“Tony! It is Nora, I have Mike” Mike grabbed her hair

“AH!!!” Nora dropped the phone.

“You whore! I was going to take it easy on you, but not anymore.”
He pushed on the floor hard. Nora was a dazed when he put his weight on her. She pushed him away. He hit her. He started to move the nighty down her shoulders. Kissing them as he went along. Nora found she couldn’t move, he weighed too much. Suddenly Charlotte started to scream and cry from her room. Mike stopped.

“What is wrong with the little brat?”
Nora swallowed.
“She is probably hungry.”
“Will she stop?”
“Not till I feed her.”
Mike got off her.
“Feed her fast.”
Nora moved the nighty on her shoulders again getting up and walking towards Charlotte’s room. Mike followed close.
“Mama mama mama.”

“I am right here baby.”
Nora was hoping this would give her enough time till the police got here. Nora picked up Charlotte and started towards the kitchen.
'“Whoa, where are you going?”
“The kitchen.”
He looked at her then pointed towards her breast.

“Don’t those things feed her?”
Nora looked at him like he was crazy.
“I haven’t breast feed her since she was 12 months. She eats normal food now.”

He looked at her like she was trying to trick him. Then Charlotte started to cry harder. Her little body shaking from crying.

“Fine. Just shut her up!”
Nora ran to the kitchen. She grabbed some Cheerios and started to feed them to her daughter. The little girl started to eat them, she sniffed a bit as she calmed down. Nora kissed her head as she try to find some of food. All the time she kept listening to see if she would hear police.
“You done yet?”
“She eating, but she is small it takes her a long time to eat.”
Suddenly Nora heard it, the sound of footsteps. She held her breath and Charlotte close. Then the heard the door swing open and the police piling in. She stayed in the kitchen.

“NORA! NORA!”
“I am in the kitchen with Charlotte.”
Bo ran in the kitchen. His relief written all over his face.

“Red?”
“We are fine. He didn’t hurt me.”
Bo hugged them to him and kissed them both.
“Boss, we got him.”
“Take him to the station. We’ll process him in the morning.”

Nora walked out with Charlotte and Bo watching the officers take Mike out of their house.

Chapter 26

Nora put Charlotte back to bed. She came back to the bedroom finding Bo on the bed looking exhausted but much less stressed than he did a few hours ago. Nora went over to him. He looked her up and down. He got a huge smile.

“That is quite the outfit Mrs. Buchanan.”
“I wore it for Mr. Buchanan.”
“Lucky man”
He reached out to her and pulled her into his lap. They began to kiss, but Nora pulled away.

“Baby, why you pulling away.”
“BO! Oh Bo, I have the best news in the world.”
“Honey what is it?”
Nora got a huge smile.

“I found something, something very important from that creep tonight.”
“What?”
“You are Charlotte's biological father!”
“What? What did he say?”
“He bragged about changing the test using his own sample.  He wanted our money Bo, he thought we pay him off instead of using the court.”
Bo sat silent, Nora looked at him a bit confused.
“Bo? Aren't you happy?”
Bo looked up at her tears in his eyes.
“She is really mine?”
Nora felt her tears come.

“Yes, she is really really yours!”
“Oh Red!”
He kissed her.
“Red we have a baby! She is our baby!”
He pushed her on the bed and kissed her again. Nora giggled.

“She is 100% our baby!”

He pushed her nighty down her shoulders. Kissing her.

“We have a baby.”

Nora sighed. Her husband began to make love to her.  Their lives perfect and care free for the first time ever.
