Lost and Found


Chapter 1
Nora Buchanan was having a bad day. She was trying to get Llanview PA for her daughter’s law school graduation. It had been nearly 3 years since she had stepped foot in
the small town. She left after divorcing her husband Bo. She sighed, Bo, she still loved that man so much, but he would never forgive her. From what Hank and Rachel have told her Bo was living a bachelor life, never with the same woman for long. Well, at least one of them was dating. She was brought out of her thoughts by a little voice.
“Mommy I’m hungry.”
“We’re almost there baby and then I’ll get you some food.”
Nora cursed she was nearly 2 hours later than she’d thought she be, between the rain and the traffic jam getting out of Chicago, she was making horrible time. She heard her phone.
“Rachel I am about 10 minutes out of town, we’ll be there real soon.”
“Ok, mom meet us at the Palace, daddy is taking us out.”
“Fine, but when you get there will order a hot dog for your brother, he is already hungry.”
“No problem. See you soon Mom.”
Nora got to turn off the exit she felt the anxiety build, she wasn’t sure she was ready to face this town again.


Chapter 2
Nora ran into the palace with Matthew in her arms, the rain was coming down hard.
“MOM!”
Nora smiled as her oldest waved at her. Nora went over and hugged Rachel.
“Oh baby! I am so happy to see you.”
“Me too mom, give me my little brother.”
Nora handed Matthew to Rachel, both being very excited to be together again.
Nora turned and walked in open arms of Hank.
“Hey honey, so happy you finally made it.”
She laughed.
“Me too!”
Nora noticed a woman behind Hank.
“Well? Hank Gannon are you going to introduce me?”
Hank let go with a huge smile.
“Nora Hanen I’d like you to met Trista”
Nora shook Trista’s hand.
“Nice to meet you!”
“Oh Nora it is nice to finally meet you! I feel like I know you, these two talk about you all the time.”
“Oh, don’t believe anything they say.”
They all laugh.  Nora sat with her family enjoying the evening. As the night went on she saw several of her old friends. She thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all. As the night ended, Nora carried a sleeping Matthew towards their room.  She put him on the little cot they brought up. Nora looked out of the window into the town she called home for so long, she fought her tears, she missed it and she missed Bo. She turned from the window and got ready for bed.


Chapter 3
The next couple of days Nora and Matthew spent with Rachel, watching her graduate. She was so proud of her daughter she had grown in to such an amazing adult.  Nora and Matthew left Rachel to having fun with her friends and headed to the park.  Nora watched Matthew from a bench and then she heard the ice cream truck. Before she could react, Matthew little legs were moving towards the sound.
“MATTHEW STOP!”
She got up and ran to him, but she wasn’t able to move fast enough. He disappeared.
“MATTHEW!”
She then heard a voice.
“Whoa little guy where do you think you are going? I HAVE YOUR SON”
Nora stopped and breathed a sigh; she walked to the direction of the voice.
“Oh thank you.”
The man came in to view. She felt a squeeze of her heart as she saw him.
“Bo.”
Bo’s eyes got big then looked at Matthew.
“Nora, hi. Is this your son?”
Nora nodded
“He heard the ice cream truck and ran before I could react.”
Bo awkwardly handed Matthew to Nora.
“Umm, well I got him. You look amazing.”
Nora blushed.
“Thank you, so do you.”
Bo nodded and put his hands in his pockets. He looked down at his shoes.
“So what are you doing here?”
“Rachel graduated.”
“Oh that is right, that is great, she is such a great kid.”
“Yeah, she is.”
They both were quiet for bit. Matthew wiggled down and headed to the park again. Nora looked at him.
“Want to sit on the bench with me?”
“uh, sure.”
Bo followed her to the bench, they both sat in silence watching Matthew play.
“He’s cute.”
Nora smiled.
“I know.”
“So what are you doing now?”
“Still a defense lawyer. Not much of a social life with a two year old around.”
Bo smiled.
“How is” he cleared his throat. “How is Sam?”
“Ummm not real sure, haven't seen him in a long time.”
Bo looked at her confused.
“Aren’t you two together? I mean Matthew.”
Nora took a deep breath.
“No we aren’t, I don’t really want to discuss it Bo.”
“ok, are you with anyone else?”
“No”
Before Bo could say anything Matthew came running up to them.
“Mommy can I have ice cream?”
Bo laughed.
“Well he is your son.”
She smiled.
“Yeah baby we can do that.”
Matthew looked over at Bo.
“Who are you?”
“My name is Bo.”
“I am Matthew.”
“I know.”
“You know my mommy?”
Bo looked over to her; she gave him a small smile.
“Yeah, we were really good friends a long time ago.”
“Do you want to get ice cream?”
Bo looked at her in shock.
“I uh, I mean, I am”
"Bo come.”
Bo took a deep breath and looked at her.
“Ok.”
Chapter 4
Nora walked in the restaurant and headed to the booth. Matthew toddled behind her, Bo
behind Matthew. Matthew sat close to his mother; Nora put her arm around him
cuddling him. Bo sat across from her. Matthew talked to Nora and Bo about
different things. Nora was thankful; she really didn’t know what to say to Bo.
The waitress brought the food. Matthew ate his ice cream. Bo and
Nora ate theirs. The silence while Matthew was eating was screaming.
“WHAT IS THIS?”
All three of them jumped. Nora looked up to the voice. A brown haired woman started walking
towards their table. Matthew grabbed his mother.
“Who is this whore? What are doing with her instead of me?”
Bo stood and grabbed her try to make leave.
“Fran stop, get out of here.”
“Are you kidding me? I haven’t heard from you for a week and I find you here with some
redhead slut and her brat.”
Matthew started to cry. Nora held him and began to get out the booth.
“GET OUT FRAN!”
Nora started to leave.
“Wait Nora, don’t go, please.”
“NORA! Oh, well isn’t this even cozier. You’re the bitch whose name he screams
when he is in bed with me. What is she your wife?”
Bo anger exploded.
“She is my ex-wife, she is a wonderful woman and mother, you are someone you screw and leave. You haven’t heard from me because you mean nothing to me.”
Bo grabbed Nora’s arm and lead her and Mathew out of the door. Matthew was
still crying. Nora tried to calm him down. Bo guided them to a car; she could
only assume was his. He got into the driver’s side. He looked over at them.
“I am so sorry, he going to be okay?”
Nora nodded. Bo put his hands on Matthews back rubbing it.
“You’ll be good buddy, why don’t come over to my place, I have a tire swing.”
Matthew held to Nora but nodded silently. Bo smiled at her and started the car
heading to his home.


Chapter 5
Nora had gotten Matthew calmed down, he fell asleep on the way to Bo’s house. Bo pulled up. Nora looked at him in surprise. He gave her a sheepish smile.
“you kept it?”
“umm yeah, I couldn’t sell it.”
Nora suddenly got a sick feeling in her stomach, what if had brought other women here? Bo must have sensed her feeling.
“No, I’ve never brought anybody else here, this is our house.”
Nora sighed in relief. Bo opened his door. Nora opened hers she carried Matthew to the door her heart was beating so fast. She can remember the last time she stood at this door. Matthew hadn’t even been born, she had signed the divorce papers and decided she need to leave. Bo unlocked the door, Nora held her breath and walked in. It looked exactly the same. She held her tears.
“Umm, Matthew can sleep in his old room, I never got rid of the baby stuff.”
Nora looked at him shocked, she slowly made her way upstairs. She walked by their old bedroom her hand ran across the door. Her feelings were overwhelming. She got to Matthew’s old room and pushed it open. The tears started to flow, it was just like they left it. She put Matthew in the crib, while he was old enough for a bed, she knew he’d be safe there. Nora heard him walk in behind her. She looked over at him tears also in his eyes. He walked over to her and put her in his arms. Nora leaned into him and sighed, she felt like she was truly back home for the first time in three years


Chapter 6- Mature
Bo pulled back and put her face into his hands. He leaned in and kissed her. Nora felt the spark that only Bo could make her feel.
“Bo.”
“Shhh, lets just enjoy the night.”
Bo took her hand and lead her to their bedroom. Nora gasped as Bo kissed her spot behind her ear. She felt her knees hit their bed. They stood there kissing and caressing each other as they removed their clothing. Bo pulled away slightly as he began to remove her bra, he slowly slid it down her arms till she was exposed. He sighed and kissed her breasts, his hand caressing them. Nora ran her hand through his hair. He lifted his face and kissed her again. Nora felt his hands moved down to her hips. His fingers hooked either sides of her panties. He began to push them down she sat on the bed and lifted her legs helping him remove them. Bo ran his hands all the way up her body. He kissed her pushed her on the bed. Bo stood up and sighed again.
“you are so beautiful.”
He removed the rest of his clothing. Nora opened her legs so he could settle his body between them. He smiled and lay his body on top of hers. Nora sighed as his body pressed against hers. She had missed this so much. Bo kissed her passionately, Nora ran her hand down his back. He nipped at her neck as his hand reached between them he stroked her folds. She arched her body under him. Bo moaned. He pulled away and looked in her eyes. He entered her body with his fingers. Nora gasped, it had been so long, it felt so good. She felt herself become more and more aroused as his fingers played with her. She felt her orgasm slowly build. Bo removed his fingers. She groaned in disappointment. He smiled and kissed her. He adjusted his body on to hers. Nora wrapped her legs around his hips, he slowly entered her body. They groaned as he filled her. Bo held her hips tight keeping them still. Nora kissed his face and down his neck as her hand ran up and down his chest. She couldn’t take it anymore she tried to move her hips.
“Bo please.”
Bo slowly pulled out of her, Nora held her breath, Bo slide back into her. Both gasped. They soon began to rock in a familiar rhythm. Nora wrapped her arms and legs around his body. Their lovemaking soon became hard and fast. Bo licked her breasts  as he slammed inside her. Nora felt the familiar warmth build her body. She gripped his shoulders. Her orgasm rippled through her body pulling Bo even deeper in her body. Bo’s hands gripped her hips pressing her into the mattress. He threw his head back.
“Yeah RED!”
Bo hips thrust into her one last time as he came.
Nora caressed his back as they both tried to catch their breath.  Bo kissed her deeply.  Nora sighed as he put his forehead on hers. He rolled them over. Nora cuddled next to his body, he wrapped an arm around and kissed her hair. Nora listened to heart beat as she fell asleep.


Chapter 7
Nora awoke, Bo arms still wrapped around her. She smiled and cuddled into him. Then she looked at the clock. Bo arms pulled her to him again. Nora kissed him.
“Bo I need to check on Matthew, he should have woke up by now.”
Bo kissed her nose and nodded. Nora stood she went over and grabbed Bo’s shirt and put in on.
“I love seeing you in my shirt, I have missed it so much.”
Nora smile and blew him a kiss as she walked down to the nursery. She opened the door and walked to the crib. Her heart stopped, Matthew was gone.
“BO! BO!”
She tore the room apart, looking to see if he hid somewhere.
Bo ran inside the nursery.
“What is wrong?”
“He is gone Bo, Matthew I can’t find him.”
She looked at him he looked scared. Her stomach clenched even more.
“Maybe he got out, I am going to look downstairs.”
Bo ran out of the room, Nora followed. They tore the house apart, they looked outside.
“Bo my baby is missing.”
He picked up the phone and called the station. He grabbed her hand and pulled her tight to him. Nora held to him tight as he told his officer the situation. Bo hung up the phone and kissed her, then held her tight.
“They are on their way, Nora we need to get dressed.”
Nora nodded as he guided her back to their old bedroom. They dressed fast, the bell rang as they finish. Nora ran downstairs.
The officers took their statements and went the nursery to see looking for evidence. Nora paced in the living room. Bo pulled her to him and held her, she cried.
The officers came down.
“Did you find much.”
“Yes, we found a partial print and a long brown hair.”
Nora looked at Bo.
“Fran, put out an APB out for Fran Teer and Matthew Rap”
“Buchanan.”
Bo looked at her.
“Matthew’s last name is Buchanan.”
Bo obviously a shocked stuttered a bit.
“Bu..bu..a Buchanan.”
The officers nodded and left. Bo and Nora followed them taking Bo’s car to station.
Bo was silent for about 5 minutes, finally he asked.
“You gave him my last name?”
Nora looked at him.
“You are his father Bo, even if you don’t share DNA.”
“Nora what happened with Sam?”
Nora blew out her breath.
“Sam..he left. He umm was upset when I asked to give Matthew you last name, then uh he left.”
“He just left? What about Matthew? Even with my last name, he is still his son.”
Nora shrugged.
“I think he realized he wouldn’t get me even with Matthew so he left.”
Bo got quiet again as they drove.
“I’ve miss you Red.”
“I’ve missed you too.”
Bo took her hand and squeezed it.
They remained silent for the rest of drive.
Bo pulled into station. They both ran in together, Bo never letting go over her hand. When they get inside Bo called everyone to attention.
“We’ve a 2 year old Male who has been abducted. Brown hair and eyes. Taken by Fran Teer in the past 6 hours. The boy name is Matthew Buchanan.”
There was a gasp heard around the room.
“This is important to me personally, I want all feet out there, we need to find him fast.”
The whole station began to run. Bo took Nora and guided her to his office. He pulled her to him when they were alone. Nora felt her tears start. He held her and kissed her.
“We’ll find him honey.”
“I need to call Rachel.”
“Wait, honey don’t, I want to keep this as quiet as possible.”
“But Bo, it’s her brother.”
“I know, but can you wait one day?”
“Fine, but you get to tell Rachel why.”
“I can do that.”


Chapter 8
It had been nearly 12 hours since Matthew had been taken, no word from Fran. Nora sat in Bo’s office scared to death. Her stomach was in knots. Bo was busy on the phone trying to find anything he could on Fran. He hung up the phone.
“Damn it, nothing.”
Nora looked at him.
“Bo, how well did you even know her?”
“I didn’t know her at all, it was a one night thing, I had drank too much. I told her it was nothing as soon as it was over, but she obviously didn’t listen.”
“God Bo, how could you be so stupid.”
“I was drunk.”
“But to just sleep with a woman because she was there? That isn’t like you, you’ve never just use women.”
Bo looked angry.
“Well maybe you just don’t know me anymore.”
“No, there is no way you changed that much.”
“You have no right to know me, not after ripped my heart out. Maybe I use women is because I don’t want to feel anything like that again. Damn Nora, you were my everything, losing made me lose myself.”
Bo left the room and slammed the door behind him. Nora jumped a bit as he left. It isn’t like she didn't know that she hurt him, but now she knew she broke him. Right at the moment she couldn’t think of that her baby was missing, nothing was more important than Matthew.
An officer came in he looked around
“Where is the commissioner?”
“He went out that door, do you have something about Matthew?”
“Mrs. Buchanan, I need to talk to the commissioner first.”
Bo walked in just at the moment.
“What do you need officer.”
“Sir, we think we found them.”
“Where?”
“At the old Angle Square depot. Her family once own it.”
“Let get a team out there.”
Bo grabbed his jacket Nora started to follow.
“NO! You need to stay here!”
“But BO!”
“NO!”
“Fine but you let me know right away.”
He nodded and headed out. Nora was left alone worried about her son.


Chapter 9
Nora sat alone in the station for over 3 hours, her stomach churning. Her mind going to the worst places. An officer ran into the room.
“Mrs. Buchanan, they got Matthew, they are heading to the hospital. The commissioner asked me to take you.”
“Is Matthew ok?”
“I don’t know anything.”
Nora followed to his car. She tried to not be scared but her mind kept going back to the worst. They pulled up the hospital Nora ran in way ahead of the officer.
“BO! BO!”
“In here”
Nora ran towards his voice. She got to the room, she cried when she saw Matthew on the hospital table awake and playing with Bo. Matthew saw her and smiled.
“MOMMY!”
“OH MATTHEW!”
She ran to him and held the little boy to her. She kissed him. He held his mother tight. She tuned towards Bo, not letting go of Matthew.
“Oh Thank you Bo, is he okay.”
“Yeah, we just wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything wrong with him that we couldn’t see.”
The doctor came in.
“Are you Matthew’s mother?”
“Yes, Nora Buchanan. How is he?”
“Little dehydrated and hungry but other than that he is doing great. You’ll just want to make sure he gets fluids and some food.”
“Thank you.”
Nora held Matthew, she looked behind her to thank Bo again. But he was gone. Nora sighed and picked up Matthew.
She got a cab back to the hotel.  She checked her messages. Rachel came flying in.
“Mom! Where on earth have you been?”
“Oh honey, Bo wanted to keep it quiet. Your brother was kidnapped last night.”
“WHAT! AND YOU ARE JUST TELLING ME!?”
Matthew woke up and started to crying Nora picked him and rocked him back to sleep, she put him in the backroom. When she came back out, Rachel was pacing.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Bo didn’t want anyone to know but the police, he thought they’d could get him faster.”
“Who took him?”
“A women name Fran Teer.”
“Who is that? Why would she take him? How did she get in here to take him? Mom?”
She sighed.
“Fran was a woman who Bo had a one night stand with, she saw Bo, Matthew, and I out last night. She didn’t react well.  She took him for Bo’s house.”
“Bo’s house, you and Matthew were at Bo’s?”
“Yes. Matthew was upset after Fran went crazy on us, he asked Matthew if he wanted to use his tire swing. So Bo took us home.”
“Home?”
Nora took a deep breath trying to control her emotions.
“Yes, home, to our home, he never sold it.”
“Oh, mom.”
Nora started crying.
“Did you know?”
Rachel nodded.
“The house was exactly the same, he even kept the nursery.”
“Mom, what happened.”
“We slept together, it was so stupid, but that house, Matthew’s room, our bed. It felt liked it use to be, before I screwed everything up.”
Nora began to cry. Rachel came up and hugged her.
“Where is Bo?”
“I don’t know, we got in a fight right before they found Matthew. Rachel I hurt him so much, he isn’t my Bo anymore.”
“Bo loves you mom, I don’t care what he does or say, that man still loves you. I think he needs you to find himself again”
Nora held to Rachel.


Chapter 10
Nora started to pack the next morning. She nearly called Bo ten times, but stopped herself. She kept thinking he was right, she didn’t know him anymore, and that her own actions caused him to change to a man who uses. Matthew was doing well, but very clingy to her, which was fine with her, she didn’t like him being out of her sight.  She called the front desk for help to get her luggage to her car.
“Time to go baby.”
Matthew put his hands out so she’d pick him up. Ten minutes later she and Matthew were back on the road. She felt her emotions building the farther she got away from Llanview. Her mind kept thinking about their lovemaking, it has been so wonderful and beautiful. It felt like they had never separated. Then her mind went to their fight, she felt so horrible, her actions caused such a wonderful man to turn so hard. She shook her head. Time to move on.


One year Later

“Mommy!”
Nora groaned as was woken by her youngest. She opened her eyes, Matthew was standing right next to the bed his eyes lines up to hers.

“What is it baby?”
“Mommy can we go to the parade yet?”
Nora had to think a bit, her brain still trying to wake up.

“Matthew the parade doesn’t start for a few hours, let me get up and around, then we’ll go out for breakfast, THEN we’ll go to the parade.”

Matthew pouted.

“I want to go now.”
“Baby you are just going to have to wait, why don’t go play and let me get around.”
Matthew gave a sad little face and turned around and left the room. Nora woke slowly and head to the bathroom to start her day.

Nora was putting on her finishing touches when she heard the doorbell ring. She sighed then ran downstairs to answer it.

“Tom! What are doing here so early?”
“Don’t remember? Matthew asked me to come to the parade with you two?”
“Oh yeah, sorry, not quite up yet, the little man decided to get me up way early. He is really excited. Come on in.”
“MATTHEW TOM IS HERE!”
Both Nora and Tom smiled as they heard Matthew scramble and run toward the entrance.

“TOM!”

Matthew flew in the man’s arms.

“Hey buddy I hear you are really excited about the parade!”
“I am, can we go yet Mommy?”
“Yes we can.”

Nora grabbed the purse and the three of them made their way out for the day.

Nora, Matthew and Tom started towards parade after eating their breakfast. Tom phone goes off and he looks at it.
“Damn.”
“They calling you in?”
“Yeah, I am so sorry about this.”
“It is ok, Matthew, Tom has to leave.”
“But you’ll miss the parade!”
“I know, but I have to go to work and make people better. Is that ok?”
“I guess, bye.”
“Bye you two.”
Nora and Matthew waved as Tom left. Nora took Matthew’s hand.

“You ready for the parade buddy?”
“YEAH!”
Nora smiled at his enthusiasm.

The two of them watched the parade until the very end then headed home, Matthew talked a mile a minute relieving everything he saw to his mother.

“Mommy? Mommy?”
Nora realized Matthew was trying to get her attention.

“What is it honey?”
“Isn’t that Bo?”

Chapter 11
Nora’s head snapped up and looked towards her house. There he was standing at her front door, the man she had been trying to forget in the past year.
“Umm yeah it is.”
Matthew smiled really big.
“BO! Over here!”
Nora heart instantly began to beat faster as he turned. His face look worn as they approached. Matthew ran to Bo, Bo picked him and hugged him close. Nora felt a great deal of concern, Bo obviously had something bothering him.
“Bo?”
Bo looked at her with tired eyes, he put Mathew down.
“Hey Red, can I come in?”
“Sure.”
Nora walked by him and opened her door, Matthew ran in asking Bo all sorts of questions. Bo answered quietly. Nora concern was growing by the second.
“Matthew honey? Why don’t you go to Robbie’s house? He was expecting you after the parade.”
“But mom, I want to talk to Bo.”
“I know, but you promised Robbie.”
Matthew frowned.
“Ok, Bo will be here when I get back?”
“I will try Matthew?”
Matthew ran over and hugged Bo, then Nora. He left the house, Nora watched Matthew until he went into Robbie’s house. She turned towards Bo.
“Bo what is it? What is wrong?”
Bo gave her a sad little smile.
“Pa died.”
Nora felt the immense sadness of Asa’s loss hit her.
“Oh Bo, I am so sorry.”
Nora put her arms around him tight, Bo held her tight.
“Red I’ve been so stupid. About you and Matthew, about Pa. We got into a huge fight right before he died. He just wanted me to go back to you, to love you, to raise Matthew as my own. I was too stubborn, to prideful. I should have just listened.”
Nora didn’t say anything she just let him pour his heart out as they held each other tight. Bo buried his face into the crook of her neck.
“I love you Red, I love Matthew, I should have never ever let you two go, please please forgive me.”
Nora release a sob, Bo was telling her things she wanted to hear so long ago. She kissed his hair.
“I love you too Bo, I forgave you a long time ago.”
She felt Bo relax a bit. He lifted his head up a bit, he looked her in the eyes. Nora sighed as she saw the love in them. She had missed that look. Bo pulled her face to him, the kissed. It was a strong passionate kiss. They jumped apart when there was a knock on the door. Both shyly smiled at each other.
“I better get that.”
Bo nodded. Nora took a deep breath and ran her hands through her hair to get some composure. She answered the door to Tom.
“Hey Nora, got off of work thought I’d stop by and see how the parade was, talk to Matthew.”
Nora laughed.
“It was great, but Matthew is over a Robbie’s otherwise I am sure he’d be telling you everything you need to know.”
“Ah, well can I come in for a bit? I feel like we never get to hang out much anymore, between my work and yours. I miss our friendship.”
Nora smiled and looked behind her. She whispered.
“Actually I have someone here.”
Tom’s eyebrows went up.
“Anybody I should know, you know I have to approve anybody you're dating!”
Nora laughed.
“Well it’s Bo.”
“WHAT!”
“Shhh.”
“Fine, but I want more story later.”
“Yeah yeah, leave please!”
Tom laughed and waved as he walked away. Nora closed the door and walked back in the living room.
“Sorry about that.”
“Is that your boyfriend?”
Nora looked a little shocked.
“Oh NO! I mean we dated for about two seconds, but that was it. We are friends, very good friends, but we realized instantly we were not meant to be in a relationship. We’d kill each other.”
Nora could see Bo visibly relaxed. He walked over to her and kissed her again. Nora kissed him back, but then gently pushed him away.
“Bo we need to talk and I don’t think you should be rushing into this after losing Asa like this.”
Bo nodded.
“Yes we need to talk, but Asa’s death just opened my eyes to how stupid I’ve been. I know this isn’t the grief talking.”
“Bo, last year.”
Bo put his hand up.
“Nora you may not believe this, but since our fight last year, I’ve changed. I knew I had too, you were right. I shouldn’t have been treating women like that, even though I was hurting that wasn’t the way to deal with the pain.  I stopped sleeping around. I haven’t even dated anyone since I last
saw you.”
Nora felt tears attempting to spill.
“Really?”
Bo sighed.
“Red, it was wrong of me to say you broke me. Yes it hurt when I found out about Sam, but I have no to blame but myself for my behavior. I am sorry I said those things to you.”
She smiled.
“So, where do we go from here?”
“How about a date? The three of us can go to dinner, then afterwards you and I can talk.”
“That sounds perfect Bo.”
Bo walked over and ran his hand through her hair, pulling her to him.
“I love you Red.”
He kissed her again, Nora put her hands in his hair and kissed him back, this time she let all of her passions out. Bo gently lowered them to the couch as the kissing grew more passionate. Nora gasped as his hands found their way under her shirt. Nora reach between intent on removing his shirt. Their passions came to an abrupt end when they heard the door open. Nora scrambled off the couch, running her hair through as her son came flying into the room.
“MOMMY I AM HOME.”
She sighed and smiled opening her arms. Matthew flew into them.
“Bo! You are still here.”
“I sure am bud. In fact I am going to take you and your mom out for dinner.”
“Yeah, I want Pizza!”
“Then Pizza you shall have.”
“YES!”
“Well, why don’t Matthew and I change real quick and then we can go out pizza.”
Nora looked over to Bo who was giving her his Bo Buchanan smile that caused her heart to skip a beat.
“That would be great.”
Matthew ran up to his room, Nora walked over to Bo and caressed his face, then went upstairs. Once she got to her room she let out a huge breath. She felt extremely nervous, but extremely happy. She began to change, she heard Matthew heading back downstairs. As she was finishing she heard Matthew call for her to hurry. She smiled and head back down.


Chapter 12
The date had gone great. Matthew had a blast, Nora loved watching he and Bo interact. She was seeing the man she loved, not the man she meet last year. As they drove home Matthew fell asleep in the back seat, leaving Bo and Nora some time to take as they headed home.
“He’s a great kid Red.”
She smiled.
“Yeah he is, I get such joy from him.”
“I am sorry I missed out in his first few years.”
Nora put her hand out and grabbed his.
“Bo, you are here now, that is all that matters.”
Bo nodded.
“Bo, how you doing? I know you Asa had your problems, but I know how much you loved him and how much he loved you.”
Nora looked over and could see his tears.
“My father was a difficult man to love, I don’t know Red, I feel I let him down in so many ways.”
Nora pulled the car over and stopped.
“Bo, no. No matter how much he yelled or told you he’d take you out the will, that man respected and loved you. Sometimes I think he wished he had you integrity.”
“I don’t know Red.”
Nora put his face in her hands.
“I do Bo, he loved you so much.”
Bo took one of hands and kissed it.
“Thanks Red, you know he never gave up on us, he loved you like a daughter.”
“I know, did you know he always sent Matthew birthday and Christmas gifts?”
Bo eyes widened.
“No, I had not clue.”
“He did, his notes always said, ‘to my grandson’”
Bo started to cry.
“I’ve been so stupid.”
Nora pulled him close and hugged him.
“Oh Bo, you were hurt and we all do stupid things when that happens. Bo?”
“Yeah?”
“Bo, have you forgiven me?”
Bo pulled out of the hug.
“Oh Red, I forgave you so long ago, but I let my pride win. I’ve missed you so much, I thought about running to Chicago so many times to come and get you and Matthew. I am so sorry it took Pa’s death for me to finally wake up.”
Nora kissed him.
“I am so happy you are here Bo.”
Bo sighed.
“Me too Red.”
Suddenly Nora heard movement from the back seat.
“Mommy we home yet?”
She smiled and let go of Bo and the car back in gear.
“Not yet honey.”
“Bo are you spending the night?”
Nora laughed as Bo face turned Red.
“Baby tonight Bo is staying at a hotel.”
“oh, will you be over again tomorrow?”
“Yes I will, in fact I plan to stay for a long time.”
“REALLY? We can play together then?”
“Yes we can.”
“YEAH!”
Nora smiled and took Bo’s hand as she pulled into her garage.
“Bo, can you read me a story for bed?”
“I sure can.”
“Why don’t you go upstairs and get ready for bed, Bo and I will be up there soon to tuck you in.”
Matthew ran upstairs.

Nora looked over at Bo who was watch Matthew go upstairs. She took her hand put on his cheek. He turned to her and smiled.
“He’s perfect Red.”
She took his hand and pulled him in for a small kiss, then led him upstairs where Matthew was excitingly waiting for them.


Chapter 13
Nora couldn’t believe how much her life had changed in a course of one month. Her soul mate had not only returned, but he had forgiven her.  She was loving watching Bo and Matthew growing a very strong friendship and adoration for each other. She and Matthew finally talked Bo into staying at their house, not that it took much. He had been staying in the guest room for the past two weeks. It was so wonderful having him with her always.  They had been doing dates, all three of them doing things together. Matthew was going to be with friend tonight, it would be the first time Bo and Nora had a real date with just the two of them. She was exceptionally nervous.
“MOM!”
“What honey?”
“Have you seen my shoes?”
She sighed and shook her head.
“Have you looked in the closet.”
Nora could hear little feet running toward the front closet.
“FOUND THEM!”
“You better get them on and get in here and get your bag, it almost time to go.”
“Ok mom.”
“Wow Red.”
Nora turned and smiled at Bo who was looking her up and down. She looked at him.
“You look pretty good too Buchanan.”
Bo smiled and took her hand and pulled her close for a kiss.
“I am so excited to get you all to myself tonight Red.”
She put her arms around his neck.
“Oh really? Why? What do think getting me alone going to do?”
“Well umm, more of an adult conversation of course.”
“Right adult conversation.”
“Mommy I am ready.”
Nora and Bo let go of each other as Matthew walked in.
“Mommy you look really pretty.”
She smiled and kissed the top of his head.
“Thank you sweetie, you sure you have everything?”
“Yes.”
“Ok, let’s get this show on the road.”
Bo picked Matthew up and guided her towards the door.

Nora and Bo sat across from each other. The conversation flowed perfectly, but every once and while Nora felt like she was 16 again sitting across the first boy she had ever agreed to date. Her stomach would flutter and she’d feel herself blush. It was a strange feel, after all she had known this man for years and been married to for years. This past month had been them relearning everything about each other and this was the first time they didn’t have a three year old as a buffer.
“Nora?”
“Yes?”
“Lets get out of here?”
She smiled as he stood and put his hand out to her. As they got to the valet, Bo put his arm around her waist and pulled her close.
“Red, tonight has been wonderful.”
“Yes it has, I am happy we had this night finally.”
“You know, I love Matthew, but I it is nice having you all to myself.”
Nora hand caressed his face. They valet pulled the car up.
“Me too.”
Nora went to get the keys, but Bo reached out and grabbed them. She went to protest.
“Let me drive Red.”
“Getting all manly on me Buchanan?”
Bo rolled his eyes.
“Just let me do this honey.”
“Ok ok.”
They kissed and headed to the car.
They talked on their way home. Suddenly Bo took a wrong turn.
“Bo, you took a wrong turn.”
“No I didn’t.”
“Bo, I think I know the way to my own house.”
“Red, trust me.”
She looked him suspiciously.
“What you up to Bo?”
He smiled, but didn’t say a word. Nora sighed but smiled. She just sat back and waited for what was to come. Bo suddenly turned off to a very secluded area, the road seemed to go on forever. Finally she saw something. It appeared to be a small pavilion, it was light up with little lights. Bo finally stopped. He got out then opened her door offering her his hand. She took it as she got out.
“Bo what is this?”
“Well I really wanted to take you dancing, but I wanted it to be romantic and intimate. So I rented this place out?”
Nora looked it was beautifully decorated, very romantic.
“When did you have time for this?”
“I actually hired someone.”
“It’s beautiful.”
Bo smiled and walked over to the small radio and turned it on. Nora felt her smile widened as oldies filled the air. Bo put his hand out.
“May I have this dance?”
She took his hand, he pulled her to him tight. They danced to the rhythm as they held each other close. It was perfect.
“Red, I’ve been thinking about something. You don’t have to answer right now, but I want to ask you something.”
Nora pulled back to look him in face, his look made her feel very nervous.
“What is it Bo?”
“Nora, I want to marry you again. I know it’s only been a few weeks, but I want you forever, I want Matthew forever.”
Nora stopped dancing, she was shocked it was the last thing she had expected from him.
“Like I said, you don’t have to answer this now or even a month from now, I just want you to know, when you are ready I am ready and would be so happy to be your husband again.”
Nora wrapped her arms around him and pulled his into a hard and passionate kiss. When they parted, she could feel tears falling.
“Yes, Bo I would love to be your wife again, I will marry you.”
Bo smiled and picked her up twirling her around. He kissed her again. Soon it became extremely passionate. Bo pulled back.
“Thank you Red, lets head home and celebrate.”

 
Chapter 14 -Mature
Bo pulled her towards the car again. Bo got in started to put the keys in, Nora got a wicked idea. She put her hand on his to stop him turning the car on. He turned towards her, he must of read her face.
“Oh Red, you are so bad.”
She giggled as he moved towards her. Bo reached around her and press the lever causing Nora to recline. Bo kissed her as he moved his body onto hers. Nora turned slightly and ran her hands down his body.

“Red! You are going to get me pulled over!”

“REALLY! Mommy I am going to have a dad!”
“You sure are.”
Matthew threw himself into Bo’s arms. Nora started to cry at the sight.
“Matthew why don’t you go and play in you room?”
Matthew let go of Bo.
“Ok! Thank you for being my dad Bo!”
Matthew shot out the room. Nora laughed, then looked over at Bo who had tears in his eyes. Nora ran her hand down his cheek. He looked over at her giving her a smile.
“I should have been here always Red, I should have always been his dad.”
Nora kissed him gently.
“Bo that is the past, Matthew is a healthy and happy boy. What matters is now. Right now, you just made a three year old boy extremely happy.”
“Yeah I guess I did. So, umm. When do we want to do this?”
“This?”
“When do you want to get married.”
She stood then sat on his lap, wrapping her arms around him.
“Well, I don’t know about you,BUT I think we should do it as soon as possible.”
He pulled her close and kissed her.
“I think that is a fabulous idea, how about next month! That should give us enough time to tell Rachel and the rest of the family.”
“YES! Lets do that.”
Nora kissed his cheek then gets off his lap.
“Speaking of Rachel I should call her.”
Bo smiled at her.
“Tell I love her. I am going to hang with Matthew.”
Nora laughed as she dialed. Rachel answered the phone. Nora told the exciting news.
“Oh mom, that is so great! I am so happy for you and Matthew, Bo will be a great dad.”
“Yes, he will. Matthew is excited about having a dad.”
“Mom, have you ever thought about having Bo adopt Matthew? I mean since Sam is totally out the picture it might be a good idea. Just in case something happens to you Matthew will be protected.”
“You know, I hadn’t thought about it, but I think you are right. I’ll bring up to Bo, see if he’d be comfortable with it. I think Matthew would love the idea.”
“So when is the big day?”
“Oh we haven’t officially decided on a date, but we are think next month.”
“NEXT MONTH!”
Nora laughed at her reaction.
“Yes! Next month, we have been apart for too long, we don’t want to wait.”
“I guess I can understand that.”
“So, you think you can make it and be my maid of honor.”
“Of course I can mom! I wouldn’t miss it.”
“Whew! Now don’t tell you father, I think Bo wants to tell him.”
She heard her daughter giggle.
“Oh you, Dad, and Bo back together again.”
“It is going to be great!”
“Sure it will.”
“Hey young lady, I don’t remember you complaining.”
“I maybe the only child in history who father and stepfather were best friends. It was weird, but wonderful.”
“Yeah, it was.”
Suddenly Nora heard both Matthew and Bo calling for her.
“Oh, better go. I am being summoned by my men.”
“Give them both a kiss for me.”
“I will baby, Love you.”
“Love you too.”
Nora hung the phone up and started upstairs to see what her men wanted.


Chapter 16
The day had been pretty quiet. Nora saw a few clients, while Bo and Matthew went out for the day. After they were done Bo was suppose to drop Matthew off at her parents, give them some time to plan the wedding. Overall they had most things done, but they need the little things. They were keeping it very small, family and very close friends. Nora had not broached the subject of Matthew adoption. She was having a hard time knowing how to start the conversation, plus she dread the thought of having to deal with Sam again. She looked up as the door to her office open she smiled as Bo walked in.
“Hello gorgeous.”
She stood and walked up to him.
“Hello handsome.”
They kissed passionately. Bo pushed her against the door and locked it behind them. Nora moaned as his hands ran down her body. Bo moved his lips down to her neck.
“Bo, not that I really really don’t want to do this, but we need to stop, we have to get these plans done.”
Bo groaned, ran has hand up and down her body one last time then let her go. He took a few deep breaths trying to gain control.
“You’re right.”
He let out on more deep breath then sat down. Nora walked over to him and ran her hands through his hair. Then she realized it would be the right time.
“Bo, I have a very big question to ask you. I don’t need an answer right away, but I want to consider it very carefully.”
Bo looked up at her concerned.
“Red, what is it?”
Nora sat down next to him.
“Bo how would you feel about adopting Mathew?”
Bo face showed shock, he didn’t say anything.
“Rachel pointed out that if anything happened to me, Matthew would go to Sam and you would have no right to him. I don’t want that, Matthew loves you so much, I would hate to rip him away from you and everyone else he loves. Sam has never shown any interest in being in his life. Like I said, I don’t.”
“Red, stop, just stop. I need to think.”
Nora stopped talking. Bo took her hands into his, they sat there for several minutes.
“What would this entail Red?”
“Well we would have to get Sam to sign his rights away.”
“Do you think he will?”
“I don’t know, it isn’t like he has anything to do with Matthew, I don’t even ask for child support from him, he never even saw Matthew. Bo he left before Matthew was born.”
This piece of information shocked Bo, she could tell.
“Are you kidding me? After all he did to insert himself into our marriage! I.. I am so sorry Red that you had to go through all that alone. I am so sorry I left, I should have never let that man push my buttons, I should have never let you and Matthew go.”
Nora kissed his temple then put her head on his shoulder. Bo wrapped his arm around Nora.
“Nora, are we sure we want get Sam involved with our lives again?”
“No, but do you really want to lose Matthew if something happens to me?”
Nora could feeling Bo body tighten.
“I can’t imagine losing you again, but losing Matthew on top of that would kill me. I would love to be Matthew’s father legally Red.”
Nora lifted her head off his shoulder and looked into his eyes.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, very! Should we tell Matthew?”
“I think we should wait until it is official, I don’t want to get his hopes up.”
Bo nodded, then smiled.
“I am going to be a dad Red.”
She laughed.
“Yes you are.”
They kissed. Nora pulled back putting her forehead on his.
“Well we better finish planning this wedding.”
Bo laughed, Nora stood and went to get all the information.
Chapter 17
Bo and Nora’s wedding was approaching fast. Both were extremely busy trying to get everything done in time.
“Bo we are crazy! Why did we give ourselves only a month!”
“Because we love each other so much we couldn’t wait.”Nora looked over at him and smiled.
“Oh yeah.”She walked over and sat on his lap kissing him. The phone rang, the both groaned. Nora stood and answered the phone.
“Hanen”
“Nora this Randy, we found Sam Rapport. Do you want to start this?”
Nora felt her stomach fall, she and Bo had hired a lawyer to start the process, the first step was to find Sam, but she had hoped this would all occur after the wedding was done.
“Wow, Randy can you hold off for a week? Bo and I will be getting married in two days and I would hate for anything to ruin it.”
“I understand, I will send out the papers on the 26th to Sam Rappaport. Would you like to come over and read over the papers? They are pretty standard, letting him know you are petitioning to have Bo Buchanan be the legal father of Matthew Buchanan.”
“Yeah, I’ll come over and read them. Thank you Randy.”
“No problem, see you later.”
“Yeah.”
Nora hung up the phone. Bo was looking at her intently.
“They found Sam, I told them to wait a week before sending the petition.”
Bo nodded.
“Probably a good idea, I would hate the idea of him crashing the wedding.”
“That was my thought.”
Nora sighed and went over to Bo sitting next to him. She laid her head on his shoulder. They sat like that for several minutes not say a word. Bo broke the silence.
“Red I was thinking about something,  I am not sure, that is, well.”
“Oh my gosh Buchanan spit it out.”
“Ithinkweshouldtryforanotherbabyrightaway.”
He spoke so fast it took Nora several seconds to realize what he was saying.
“Oh” Nora tried to absorb what he said, but then her heart sank. “Bo, remember what your fertility test said?”
“I know, but there are other ways, adoption, donors, I don’t have to be the biological father to our children. I love Rachel and Matthew as my own. I just. I just want to raise a baby with you from the beginning Red.”
Nora felt her heart melt, she loved this man so much.
“I would love to have another baby Bo, but I think we should wait we know more about how Sam is going to react to the adoption. I don’t want to be stressed that much when I am pregnant, Matthew was not an easy pregnancy. And if we adopt we have a few years before anything will happen.”
Bo smiled.
“That is fine, we can start looking into options before we try anyways.”
Nora kissed him.
“So handsome you ready for this wedding?”Bo put his arms around her waist pulling her close.
"Wish we were already married"
“Me too.”
“RACHEL IS HERE! I saw her car pull up.”
"MOM! BO!"
Nora sighed and smiled as she heard Matthew running towards their room. The door flew open Matthew ran inside. She laughed at his face he was obviously very excited.
Chapter 18
Matthew took their hands and led them downstairs as fast as he could. Once they got to the door he let go of their hands. Nora opened the door, Matthew ran out towards his sister.
“RACHEL!”
Rachel looked up and turned towards him open her arms Matthew launched himself into them. Nora felt such happiness watching the two of them together. Rachel let go of Matthew and walked towards Nora and Bo. Nora meet her and hugged her daughter tight, Rachel then hugged Bo.
“How was the drive?”
“Not bad, beat the traffic.”
They all helped Rachel with her bags. Matthew wouldn’t let go of his sister’s hand as he walked her in the house telling her all about the wedding and what was going on in his life.
“Rachel, did you know that Bo is going be my step dad and he and I are going do guy stuff!”
“I did know, you excited.”
“Yeah! Bo took me out camping last week it was so much fun.”
Nora giggled.
“Well they hung out in a tent in the backyard.”
Rachel laughed.
“Still fun.”
Bo walked over to Matthew and picked him.
“Hey buddy let’s go out to the park and let your mom and sister do girly things.”
“K, bye mommy and Rachel, we’ll be back!”
Nora and Rachel waved as the two left.
“So?”
Nora turned towards Rachel.
“So?”
“Have you talked to Bo about adoption?”
“Yes, he wants to do it, we actually started the process.”
“Wow. How is going.”
“We found Sam, but we are waiting till after the wedding to send him the petition for adoption.”
“Afraid he’ll crash the wedding.”
Nora just nodded slowly.
“Mom are you scared?”
Nora didn’t say anything for a minute.
“Yes I am, what if Sam wants Matthew. I know he left, but you know how he is about Bo. He may just do it out of spite.”
“If he does you fight him, you have proof he left way before Matthew was born and that Bo and Matthew are bonded.”
“I guess, I just hope it doesn’t get to that point.”
Rachel walked over to Nora and hugged her.
“Bo wants to have another baby.”
Rachel eyes got huge.
“What!”
“Yep he just asked me about before you got here.”
“What did you say?”
“Yes, but we are going to wait until the adoption is over with.”
“Wow. Wait! I thought Bo couldn’t have kids.”.
“He is ok if we get a donor or adopt.”
“Mom, you found the perfect man.”
Nora laughed.
“I don’t know about that, but he is great.”

“Better tell Shawn to stay hidden during the wedding.”
“Ha, I don’t think he is ready to see dad yet, I keep telling him we are married, my father can’t complain.”
“But he will”
“I will talk to him and use my daughter power on him, that always calms him.”
“Well, I am excited and so happy for you.”
“Thank you mom.”
Nora looked at the time.
“Oh we better go, we have a date at the spa!”
“YES!”
Nora and Rachel headed out for the day of pampering.
Chapter 19
The next day was crazy. Everybody was flying around doing last minute things for the wedding.
“I don’t understand why you two had do this all in one month!”
“Clint Buchanan! They love each other and they have been separated for too long as it is.”“Viki I am not say I don’t understand why the want to get married soon, but one month!”
“Clint sit in that corner and finish those centerpieces.”Nora and Bo were sitting on the other side trying not to laugh out loud. Matthew was sitting between them just observing all the adults as helped Bo and Nora put the wedding favors together by putting a piece of candy in each bag, but Nora was pretty sure he had eaten more than he had put in the bags.
“Uncle Clint you should put chocolate on those things, it make it pretty and yummy.”All the adults chuckled.
“Well Matthew if you mom approves I will.”Matthew looked to his mom with big eyes, there was no way she could say no. So she nodded. Matthew smiled grabbing one of his bags of chocolates and walked over to Clint and began to help him.
“Mom? Do you have everything packed?”
“I think so, can you double check for me?”
“Yeah, I’ll go up and do it right now.”

“Thank you sweetie.”
Rachel left and headed upstairs.

“You know Red I think I we should have had the wedding police do everything again, I don’t remember being this stressed the night before the last time.”

“I know, we lucked out last time.”
“Well if you two had procrastinated like you did the last time the wedding police would have done it, but NO you had to do it in one month.”
“Clint Buchanan!”
“Sorry.”

Nora smiled and she looked over at Bo, he turned to her and kissed her.
“I won’t have it any other way Red.”

As the night got later everyone headed to their hotels. Leaving Bo, Nora, Rachel and Matthew in the house.

“When Shawn coming in?”
“In the morning, he’ll meet us at the church.”
Rachel looked over at the clock.

“I think I am going to head to bed.”
“Ok, night sweetie.”
“Goodnight.”
Rachel kissed all of them and went to her room. Matthew was half asleep on Bo.

“We better head up to bed too.”
“Mommy can I sleep with you and daddy?”
Nora heart stopped she looked at Bo who couldn’t stop his tears. Nora smiled and kissed him.

“Yeah baby you can sleep with me and daddy.”

Bo carried Matthew up to their room and gently put him on the bed. They both got in, Matthew in the middle. Nora looked over at Bo who was looking at Matthew with a small smile. Nora put her hand on his, Bo looked up at her whispering.
“He called me daddy!”
Nora kissed him and settled into bed.
“Night Red, tomorrow our lives will officially be perfect.”
“Yes it will.”


Chapter 20- Mature
The morning was busy. They all four were trying to get ready.  Matthew and Bo left together to get to the church first and make sure everything was ok. Nora and Rachel had a hairdresser coming over and help them get ready. Nora felt pretty calm even through the crazy.

“We better head to the church.”

“10 minutes”
“Thank you.”
Nora looked at the mirror and smiled.

“Well Rachel?”

“Thank you baby. Let’s get this party started.”

Rachel smiled as she Nora headed to the foyer. Nora sighed, she was so happy.

The wedding was perfect, Nora couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony. Bo and Matthew were extremely handsome. After they kissed and were announced as Mr and Mrs Buchanan Matthew came over and took both of their hands. Nora, Bo and Matthew walked out of the church together and into the limo. “Mom look at this!”
Nora looked over and Matthew who had found the candy stash in the limo.

“Yeah, but if you eat that candy now, you won’t get to eat the cake.”

“What kind of cake?”

Matthew sighed and sat back.

“I think we can manage that for you kido.”
Matthew smiled then got up and walked over to their side moving in between them. Nora kissed the top of his head and hugged him tight. Bo pulled her and Matthew close to him. Life was perfect. The limo stopped. Nora looked over at her two men.

Matthew stood up.

The party last well into the night. As the night ended Rachel took Matthew home. Nora and Bo left the reception and headed to the hotel. Bo had arranged for them to get the Penthouse for the weekend. They decided they would take a honeymoon after they knew everything with Matthew and the adoption were settled, so a weekend at the nicest hotel in the city would be their honeymoon for now. “Me either Red, but I am missing Matthew and Rachel.”
“Me too, I can’t wait to see what adventures that had while we were gone this weekend.”
As they pulled up Nora and Bo started laughing. Matthew and Rachel had made a sign to welcome them home, there was no doubt that Matthew had wrote the word Home. Matthew came flying out of the house as Nora and Bo opened the car doors.
“MOM DAD!”
Nora got on her knees and opened her arms. Matthew jumped into her arms and held her tight she held him close, she released him he went to Bo and hugged him tight. Bo picked him and they headed inside, Rachel was at the door with a huge smile.
“Soo how was the weekend in the hotel?”

“Let me guess you never left your room.”
“Of course not!”
Rachel laughed and shook her head as she followed Bo and Nora back into the house. Bo put Mathew down. Matthew told them all about what he and Rachel had done during the weekend. Nora listen to him, Rachel injected some commentary. Bo took her hand and guided her to the couch. She smiled as the two siblings showed their excitement of being with each other. She felt so lucky and happy with her life, it was amazing.

Chapter 22
Bo and Nora sat in their lawyer’s office reviewing the adoption petition they were about to send to Sam. It was a pretty cut and dry.
“Now are you two sure you want to do this? I know you really want Matthew to be Bo’s legally, but you may be opening a can of worms. He’s left you alone till now.”
Nora looked at Bo, his eyes told her everything she need.
“Yes, I want to make sure Matthew will be safe and happy if something ever happened to me. Bo will ensure that.”
Bo kissed her cheek.
“Ok, I am going to send this right now I am guessing we will hear from him by the end of the week.”
Nora let out a deep breath and nodded. Randy left Bo and Nora.
“You ok Red?”
“Yeah, just a bit scared.  Are we poking a sleeping bear? I just hope he lets us have Matthew.”
“I am scared too Red, I am not going to lie. My mind keeps going to him deciding he wants Matthew and what if he wins custody. I don’t want to lose our son Red, but I think we need to try this.”
Nora put his face in her hands.
“Thank you.”
“For what Red.”
“For being scared, for loving Matthew, for loving me. Thank you.”
“Loving you and Matthew is easy.”
Nora laughed.
“Lets get out of here, I am starving.”

Nora hit Bo jokingly.
“I don’t know what you complaining about, I use all those extra calories in our bedroom.”

They laughed as they headed out of the office.
Chapter 23

Matthew came running and sat between his parents.
“Did you have fun at Robbie’s?”

The phone rang. Nora got up and went to get in her office. She could hear Matthew and Bo talk about Matthew’s day as she walked away, it made her so happy.  She finally got to her office and picked up the phone.
“Buchanan Residence.”
“Hey Nora it is Randy.”
Nora felt her heart stop, she quietly closed the door so she didn’t have to worry about Matthew walking in.
“I take it you have heard from Sam.”
“Yes, Nora he doesn’t want to give up his rights.”
Nora sighed.
“I was afraid he wouldn’t. Did he say anything else.”
“Yes, he says he has no desire to be in Matthew’s life, but there was no way in hell he’d let Bo get his son.”
“Damn it, I am going to kill him. Randy set up a meeting with him! I will sue him if I have to, if he doesn’t want Matthew then he needs to let him go!”
“I thought you’d say that, I already set up a meeting for tomorrow.”
“Thank you, I will have to talk to Bo, but I don’t want to do this around Matthew so it will have to be later tonight. I will call you at home to let you know if we can do it tomorrow.”
“Sounds good and I know I don’t have to tell you, but I feel I need to say it Nora. This could get very ugly.”
Nora felt her stomach tighten.
“I know, but it will be worth it.”
“I understand call me tonight after you talk to Bo.”
“I will.”
Nora hung up, she could hear Bo and Matthew having fun in the living room. She knew this was the right thing to do for both of them, but it didn’t stop the fear she kept feeling. She sighed and headed back out to her men. She put on a smile, trying to not let Bo know there was an issue.
“Mom, dad is going to order Chinese for dinner.”
“Alright! Why don’t you go upstairs and play, I will call you down when it gets here.”
Matthew ran up to his room. Nora walked to the kitchen where Bo was just hanging up the phone.
“Matthew says we are having Chinese.”
“We sure are! I order a bit of everything. After this afternoon we need lots of replenishment.”
Nora smiled and kissed him.
“Lots and lot of replenishment, plus maybe extra for tonight?”
Bo put his arms around her waist pulling her close.
“How did I get so lucky?”
Nora nuzzled him. He began to kiss her neck. Nora gasped as Bo pushed gently against the wall, they stood there for making out for several minutes. The doorbell was what made them separate. Bo smiled and kissed her one more time before heading to the door. She heard Matthew coming downstairs. He ran into the kitchen.
“Is the food here? I heard the bell.”
“I think so, your dad went to answer the door.”
Bo came in a second later, his arms filled with food.
“Let’s eat!”
The three of them sat down around the table taking and eating.

Later in that night Bo was putting Matthew to bed. Nora paced their bedroom, she wasn’t sure how to tell Bo the news. Bo walked into the bedroom, he wrapped his arms around her kissing her neck.
“Let’s continue what started in the kitchen.”
His hand started to push her shirt up. Nora put her hand out and stopped him.
“Bo we need to talk first.”
Bo stopped, she turned to him.
“Randy called.”
Bo sat down on the bed.
“I take it isn’t good news?”
“No, basically he doesn’t want Matthew, but he doesn’t want you to have him either.”
Bo stood his anger taking over.
“That son of a bitch, how could he treat his son so callously.”
Nora wrapped her arms around him.
“I asked Randy to set a meeting with Sam.” She could feel him tense up. “Bo we need to let him know we are serious, I don’t want to see him either, but it needs to be done. For Matthew.”
Bo sighed then nodded.
“Randy had already set up a meeting, he anticipated we would want this. He set it up for tomorrow.”
Bo rubbed his face with his hands.
“I can’t believe we have to deal with him again Red.”
Nora laid her head on his back.
“I know, we’ll get through this. I love you.”
Bo took her hands in his.
“I love you too Red.”
They sat there embracing, both deep in thought.


Chapter 24
Bo and Nora had arranged for Matthew to spend the day with their neighbor the next day. They sat in Randy’s office waiting for Sam and his lawyer. Nora could tell Bo was extremely nervous he kept playing with his tie. Nora took his hand in hers. Bo stopped fidgeting and looked at her. He gave her a small smile then leaned in and gave her a small kiss. The door opened just as he did that. Sam walked in, obviously seeing the kiss rolled his eyes. Sam sat down across from them as did his lawyer, nobody said a word. Randy came in behind everybody and sat next to Nora. He started the meeting.
“So we all know why we are here. Bo and Nora Buchanan would like Mr. Rappaport to give up his custodial rights so Bo Buchanan can adopt Matthew Buchanan and become his legal parent.”
Sam’s lawyer spoke up.
“My client has already given you his answer, he isn’t giving up his right. He doesn’t need to be in son’s life but he doesn’t want Mr. Buchanan to have any legal rights over his son.”
“Yes, we understand that, but we felt this meeting was needed to let you know how serious Mr and Mrs Buchanan are about this. They are ready to bring this to court.”
“WHAT!”
Nora and Bo jumped slightly at Sam’s outburst. Randy calmly responded.
“Mr and Mrs Buchanan are raising Matthew Buchanan and they feel they have a very strong case and win the adoption petition.”
Sam stood his face red.
“No, no way I am going to let you two use my son to have you happy ending.”
Nora couldn’t take anymore.
“Sam, we have our happy ending with or without this petition. I am doing this for Matthew. He views Bo as his father, he doesn’t even know you exist. If something happens to me I want him to go the father he knows and adores and who in turn loves and adores him. You are neither of those Sam.”
Sam sneared.
“Take me to court. I can’t wait to air your dirty laundry in public.”
With that Sam left his lawyer following. Nora put her head in her hands. Bo rubbed her back.
“Its ok Red, we’ll get him in court.”
“I agree Nora, you and Bo have a very strong case. Sam isn’t in his son life, he doesn’t even pay support. Even with all the dirty laundry I don’t think a judge will like that.”
Nora sighed and nodded.
“I know, I just wish he’d done the right thing.”
“That isn’t Sam’s strong suit honey.”
She laughed.
“I’ll get the suit started, I think I get it through the red tape get us in court within a month”
Nora looked up in shock.
“That fast?”
“I know people”
“Thank you.”
“Thank me when I get it done.”
Bo stood up and put his hand out.
“Let’s go home to our son Red.”
She smiled and took his hand.
“Yes, to our son.”


Chapter 25
Nora and Bo spent the next week trying to make sure Matthew never knew something was wrong. Nora hated this, she felt so stressed. She was amazed at Bo, he was such a source of strength. Randy believed they were going to be in family court in two weeks.
She and Randy worked together putting the case together. Nora was so exhausted, this was taking everything out of her. She and Bo sat down with Randy yesterday and went through their lives from right before Sam entered their lives till now. It was hard, especially when they got to the Women of the Year time. Nora also hated hearing about Bo’s years of using women after she moved.

“Did I fall asleep?”

“Yeah, Matthew only slept for 30 minutes. So we went out to run errands, we just came back and found you still asleep. I am not surprised, you been working hard and have been really stressed.”
Nora ran her hand through her hair.
“Yeah I guess.”
“You feel better.”
She shrugged.
“A bit, I don’t think I will feel really good until I know this whole thing is over.”
Bo kissed her forehead.
“Matthew and I got dinner, come on let’s eat.”
Nora stood and followed Bo to the kitchen. Matthew was sitting in his car impatiently wanting for them.
“I want the drumstick dad.”
“Ok buddy, give me a second.”
Bo and Nora helped Matthew get his food, then got their own. Nora picked at her food. She felt Bo looking at her. She looked up at him and gave him a half smile.
“I know it has to be a first in our relationship, but I am not really hungry.”
“Dad can I be excused? I finished all my dinner.”
“Yeah go ahead bud.”
Matthew left the room. Bo looked over at her again.
“Red I am worried about you. I know this case is stressful, but you are so tired all the time and you not wanting food?”
“I know, I just need this to be over with. I swear Bo, it's just nerves and stress.”
Bo sighed and didn’t looked convinced.
“Fine, but if this gets any worse I want you to see a doctor.”
She nodded. Bo started to clean up. Nora helped. As they finished Bo took her in his arms and kissed her gently.
“I love you so much Red.”
“I love you too.”
Chapter 26
The two weeks flew by. Their first court date had come up, Bo had the good idea to send Matthew to his grandparents for the week. Nora was extremely grateful, she couldn’t keep this facade up. She looked in the mirror in the courtroom bathroom, she cringed, she look awful. She wanted this over, she was tired of being tired, not to mention she still had no appetite. Bo forced her to go to the doctor last week, the doctor seemed to agree it was the stress, but ran blood test at Bo’s insistence. So far everything had come back clean, they still were waiting on a few, but Bo seemed to relax a bit.
She walked out of the bathroom, Bo was standing outside waiting for her. He kissed her.
“Ready beautiful.”
“Bo, I look awful.”
“Hey don’t talk about my wife like that.”
She smiled. Randy walked up to them.
“The judge is ready for us.”
Nora and Bo held hands as they headed into the chambers. Sam and his lawyer were already in there. Nora didn’t even look at them as they sat, but she could feel Sam’s eyes on her. The judge came in.
“Ok folks I have read the petition for adoption, but it is my understanding that Mr Rapport doesn’t want to give up his rights.”
“Yes that is correct, my client has long and messy history with Mr. Buchanan and doesn’t feel comfortable giving his rights away to him.”
The judge nodded.
“Mr. Anderson can you explain why your clients are doing this, it is very unusual.”
“Mr and Mrs Buchanan are raising Matthew Buchanan without any support or interaction from Mr. Rappaport. They just want to ensure Matthew would stay with the man he views as his father in case something would happen to Mrs. Buchanan.”
“Is this correct Mr. Johnson? Your client is not supporting his son or in his life?”
Nora had to stop a smile when he saw Johnson shift uncomfortably.
“Yes that is correct, he felt his son would be better off being raised by his mother. You see Mrs. Buchanan and Mr. Rapport and an affair while Mrs. Buchanan was married to Mr. Buchanan the first time, they just got remarried. Mrs. Buchanan pretty much shut him out when she insisted give Matthew Mr. Buchanan last name instead of Mr. Rappaport.”
“So he just left and didn’t offer any support?”
“Well, um, Mrs. Buchanan never asked.”
The judged seemed less than impressed.
“I must point out your honor Mr. Buchanan left Mrs. Buchanan while she was pregnant also, when he found Matthew wasn’t his he left her.”
The judge turned to Bo.
“Is this true Mr. Buchanan?”
Nora took Bo’s hand, he squeezed it.
“Yes, it was the worst mistake of my life. It is one of my biggest regrets. I just wish I hadn't let my pride win for so long. I lost three years of being with my soul mate and my son’s life.”
“So you view him as your son.”
“I always have, even when I found out, my heart always thought of him as mine. That why it hurt so much when I first found out he wasn’t mine. I lost my wife and son in the same day. I was stupid for a couple years. Then Nora came back into my life and said some hard truths I needed to hear. It wasn’t until my own father died that I truly realized how dumb I had been. I am just grateful that Nora gave me another chance and that I get her and Matthew for the rest of my life.”
Nora smiled at him and tried to blink back the tears, but she lost the battle. Bo wiped the tears off face.
The judge continued with question for the next hour.
“I think we need to adjourn for the day. We will continue this in two days.”
The judge left, Sam and his lawyer left right away. Randy turned towards them.
“Good job you two. I think you have a very real chance of getting this.”
Nora sighed, feeling a little better. Randy left leaving Bo and Nora alone. Bo leaned over and kissed her.
“I love you.”
She ran her hand down his face.
“I love you so much Bo.”
Nora’s phone began to ring causing them both to jump. Nora answered it.
“Mrs. Buchanan?”
“Yes.”
“Mrs. Buchanan we got the last of you test back.”
“Oh, did anything come up.”
“Yes it did.”
Nora stopped breathing, she felt the fear she had been ignoring bubbling up.
“What is it?”
“Well, you are pregnant.”


Chapter 27
Nora didn’t respond.
“Mrs. Buchanan? Did you hear me.”
“Ah, yeah, umm thank you.”
“The doctor wants to see you tomorrow.”
“Sure.”
“8?”
“Yeah.”
Nora hung up, she stared at the phone in shock.
“Red? Honey who was that?”
“The doctor.”
“Did they get the results?”
She nodded, still trying to process what was just told to her.
“Did they find something!”
She nodded. Bo grabbed her turning around.
“RED! What did the say?”
Nora shook her head snapping out of it, realizing she was scaring him.
“Oh Bo, sorry. Well, I seem to be pregnant.”
Bo eyes widened he didn’t say a word. He seemed to be just as in shock as her.
“He wants to see me tomorrow I have an appointment at 8.”
Bo stood running his hands through his hair.
“Red, I don’t want you take this the wrong way, but how can you be pregnant?”
Nora couldn’t help her smart ass remark.
“Well when a mommy and a daddy love each other”
“No! Red, how can you be pregnant! I can’t have kids remember!”
Nora felt her breath catch.
“I..I don’t know, I mean.” She stopped and thought for a bit. “Bo is there anyway those test could have been wrong?”
“I don’t know, our doctor and her staff were pretty good, do you think they’d make such a big mistake.”
“They had to, I mean Bo you are the only man I’ve been with since Matthew was born. I don’t” Her heart stopped as she remember something. Lindsay. “Bo, those test results. Lindsay was the one who handed them to me.”
“Lindsay? How?”
“She was at our door with our mail she gave some weak excuse of just being helpful.”
“Red she wouldn’t have had a way of changing them at our house.”
Nora stood.
“Oh God, Bo don’t you see!”
Bo shook his head.
“Bo she was married to Clint at the time, she would have been Mrs. Buchanan too. I bet they accidentally gave her the results.”
Bo eyes got huge.
“Oh my God Red, if that is true, that bitch destroyed our lives.”
Then something else occurred to Nora.
“Bo.”
He looked at her.
“Bo!”
“What?”
She laughed.
“Bo don’t you understand! If she messed with test and you can have kids!”
Bo stood still.
“Matthew could be mine!”
Nora laughed then cried. Her heart about to explode. Bo pulled her to him into a tight hug then kissed her. The stood like that for a long time. Then he pulled away.
“RED! We are having a baby!”
She laughed again. The shock was wearing off.
“We are having a baby!”
He smiled.
“We need to get Matthew tested right away, before we meet in court again.”
“I will ask the doctor tomorrow, see if we can get it rushed through.”
Bo kissed her again, this time the kiss became very passionate. Nora moaned as Bo lifted her on the desk. Nora hands eagerly reached for his pants as Bo’s hands began to move her skirt up. Then they heard to door knob turning. They scrambled off the the table, the person on the other side open the door.
“Oh I am sorry, I thought this was where I was suppose to be.”
“Um, you probably are, we were just leaving.”
Bo placed his hand on the small of her back and guided her out the room. Nora couldn’t stop smiling, this maybe all over soon, really over. She looked at Bo, she knew there would be no sleep tonight.
Chapter 28
The next morning they both nervously sat in the doctor’s office. The doctor came in with a smile.
“Mrs. Buchanan, I see congratulations are in order.”
“Yes, uh this is my husband Bo.”
The doctor shook hand.
“I wanted to see you right away, as I am sure you know this will be a high risk pregnancy and I wanted to make sure we all take the proper precautions.”
“I understand, but can we ask you for favor?”
The doctor looked at her with confusion.
“As you know I have a son who is three.”
The doctor nodded.
“Well when he was convinced I was married to Bo and we had test that told us he couldn’t have children, I went to umm someone else to conceive.”
The doctors eyes got huge.
“When we found out we were pregnant again, we didn’t understand. The only thing we can think of is that the fertility test were wrong and maybe Matthew might be Bo’s.”
She could tell she was overwhelming the doctor.
“Anyways, we were wondering if you could run a DNA test in a rush?”
The doctor looked between her and Bo.
“Like how much of a rush?”
“24 hours?”
“Wow, that is really fast. I am”
Bo interrupted him.
“I am willing to pay good money.”
The doctor looked over at him.
“Well it usually cost $100 and it takes about a week for the lab to process it.”
“I’ll pay $1000.”
“Umm, let me call the lab real quick.”
The doctor left leaving them alone for a few minutes. Bo reached over and took her hand kissing it.
“It’s going to work out Red, I promise.”
The doctor returned.
“The lab said they could do it. Do you have a sample of your son and Mr. Buchanan?”
Nora pulled out a two toothbrushes.
“The buzz lightyear one is my son’s”
The doctor laughed as he took the samples, a moment later the nurse came in. He handed her the toothbrushes.
“So, let’s talk about your current pregnancy now.”
Nora sighed and nodded.
An hour later Bo and Nora returned home. Bo was walking behind Nora reading the pamphlets as they walked in.

“It says here at 9 weeks the baby is only the size of an olive and that you are really tired. Well that is true.”
Nora turned around and pulled the paper out of Bo’s hand.

“Bo I’ve done this two other times, I know what will happen.”
“I know, but I really haven’t. Matthew’s pregnancy went bad really fast for me, I never had time to learn these thing.”
Nora felt awful.

“Oh Bo, I am sorry.”
He shrugged.
“It is ok Red, now I can do this right, with you.”
She kissed him.
“Yes, you can.”
Bo hand reached between them and put his hand on her flat stomach.
“I swear Red I will be here for you, Matthew, and this baby forever.”
Nora fought her tears.
“I know Bo.”
She kissed his temple. Bo hugged her tight.
“Tomorrow Matthew will be mine no matter what, even if the DNA test come out negative. I know that judge will let me adopt him.”
Nora didn’t say a word she just leaned into him trying she’d feel some of strength.  She had been fighting the hope that was clawing her chest. She didn’t want to be devastated if things didn’t work the way she wanted. Bo pulled her out of the hug and brought his hands up to her face tipping her face so her eyes meet his.
“I love you so much Red. I thank God for everyday I have you and our family.”
He kissed her passionately. Nora matched his passion, she felt a bit dazed. Bo ran his hands down her body pulling her close.
“Why don’t we head upstairs and find some things that can distract us from thinking about the test.”
Nora raised and eyebrow.
“Things huh?”
Bo kissed her then took on of her hands and pulled her towards the stairs.
“Oh yes. Very sexy things.”
“OH! I love sexy things.”
Bo laughed as they headed towards the bedroom.

Chapter 29

The next morning Bo and Nora were still at home eating their breakfast. Nora was trying to will the phone to ring.

“Honey we may not get the results before we leave for the courthouse.”
“I just want to know Bo! If you are Matthew’s father I want smack Sam in the face with results today and never see him again.”
Bo chuckled.
“Red, I think the hormones are running higher today than normal.”
She gave him deadpanned look.
“You want to be smacked too?”
“Depends on where you plan on doing the smacking.”
Bo raised his eyes suggestively.
“Trust me Bo, the smack would not be in a place you like.”
Bo shook his head.
“I think I’ll stay quiet today.”
“Good idea!”
Nora felt bad.
“I am sorry Bo, I am just anxious, not to mention I am feeling tired and nausea. I didn’t mean to jump down your throat.”
Bo stood up picking up his dishes, he walked over to her and kissed the top of her head.
“I know Red, I love you.”
“Love you too.”
Bo walked over to the dishwasher, Nora looked over at the phone again.
“Red we need to go, they will call our cells if they get the results. I gave them all our numbers.”
She sighed and stood. Bo held his hand to her and she took it as they walk out the car.

They sat in the judges chambers yet again, Nora was fighting her nausea as they sat there. Bo hands was rubbing her back. The judge was asking question of both of them, she tried to answer, but her mind was elsewhere. Then she felt it, her breakfast was about to come up. She stood and ran out of the room. She could hear the judge screaming her name. She reached the toilet just in time before threw up. She cleaned herself up then walked out. Bo was standing there waiting with water.
“I had to tell the judge you were pregnant.”
Nora sighed and nodded.
“It is probably good he knows.”
“He gave us a 20 minute recess.”
Bo took her and sat down taking her in his arms.
“You feeling okay?”
She just nodded as she put her head on his shoulder. Bo began to rub her back again, she felt her body relax, they sat there for a couple minutes in comfortable silence. Bo’s phone rang. Bo reached into his pocket to get his phone.
“Bo Buchanan.”
“Yes..Ok..Are you sure?..Thank you, yes we will be over as soon as we can.”
Bo hung up the phone.
“Who was that Bo?”
Bo didn’t say anything he just looked at the phone.
“Bo?”
“It was your doctor’s office.”
Nora couldn’t breath, she just looked at Bo. He looked up at her, tears in his eyes forming.
“I am Matthew’s father.”
Nora felt all the emotions she had been hold escape as she  began to cry. Bo pulled her to him in a tight hug. She could hear him repeating the same sentence.
“Matthew is mine Red, he is ours.”
“Nora? Bo? Is everything okay?”
They separated, Nora looked at Bo, they both laughed. Then Nora looked at Randy.
“Randy we need to talk to you someplace quiet.”
Randy looked around.
“Um yeah, let’s go over in that room, it should be empty for another hour.”
Bo and Nora stood, they looked at each other as they followed Randy. They kept laughing. When they got in the room Randy closed the door.
“Ok you two what is up?”
Nora tried to speak, but couldn’t she was so relieved and happy she kept laughing. Bo kissed her cheek.
“I’ll tell him Red. We just found out Matthew isn’t Sam’s son, he is mine.”
Randy eyes got big and looked between the two of them.
“How in the world did you figure that out?”
“When I found out I was pregnant.”
“What do you mean?”
“We were told I couldn’t have children, but if Nora’s pregnant, that can’t be right. So we got to thinking maybe the test was wrong or had been tampered with.”
Randy face showed he finally understood.
“Which means you could be Matthew’s father. Oh, this wonderful. So I take it you had a DNA test.”
“Yes, they just called with the results.”
“How soon do you think you could get the official report?”
“It would probably take us and hour to get there and back.”
Randy paced a bit.
“Give me five minutes, I will try to get us a longer recess. I will tell Nora is feeling really sick, that should do it.”
Randy left leaving them alone again. Nora looked at Bo who had a huge smile on his face, Nora probably had the same smile on her face. She felt so free. Bo suddenly grabbed and kissed her very passionately. Nora moaned and kissed him back. He stopped suddenly.
“As soon we get home I am going to make the most passionate and beautiful love we have ever experience!”
The door opened before she could respond.
“I got it, you have exactly an hour to get there and back with those results.”
Bo grabbed Nora’s hand and they ran out of the courthouse, they ran past Sam as they did, who looked shocked as they sprinted by.

Chapter 30
Nora called the doctor’s office as Bo drove.
“Michelle we have less than hour to get those test results to the courthouse, is there anyway you can have them ready for us?”
“Yes I most certainly can, call me again when you get closer. I’ll send someone out to give them to you, that should save 10 minutes.”
“Really? Oh thank you so much! You have no idea what these means to me.”
“No problem, I’ll expect a call from you again soon?”
“Yes I’d say in about 10 minutes.”
“Ok.”
Nora hung up.
“They are going to send someone down with the official results.”
“That is great, that should give us plenty of time!”
Nora sighed and closed her eyes for a few seconds.
“I can’t believe it Bo, all our dreams are coming true.”
She felt Bo take her hand, she open her eyes and looked at him as he kissed the hand. Nora reached out with the other hand and ran down his chest, then she smiled seductively at him when he looked at her. Bo eyes looked back at the road.
“Red, don’t do that! I only have so much willpower and we need to get this done!”
Nora sighed.
“Fine, but you were the one that started it in the courthouse.”
Bo smiled.
“Oh yeah, well you still need to behave.”
As they got close the hospital Nora called the office again. As promised there was someone waiting for them on the curb as they got there. Nora took the papers that were sealed. She thank them profusely, then they headed back. She felt her excitement grow as they got closer. Bo parked in the courthouse garage with 10 minutes to spare.
Randy was standing by the door as they hurried in.
“You have it?”
“Official and sealed!”
Randy took the papers, they all three headed in the chambers. Nora was bursting at the seams. Sam looked at them with his usual disdain, Nora couldn’t help but smile sweetly at him. She could wait to see his face when the judge opened the results, it would hopefully be one of the last expressions of his she’d ever see. Bo pulled close to her putting his arms around her. Nora gripped him tight, this was almost over.
The judge sat down.
“Are you feeling better Mrs. Buchanan?”
“Yes, much better.”
“Good, let’s continue.”
“Your honor, I have some evidence that just came to light to give you.”
The judge looked confused.
“What evidence.”
“Evidence that Sam Rappaport is not Matthew Buchanan’s father.”
Sam stood outraged.
“What are talking about. Of course I am, Bo can’t have kids.”
The judge looked over at them.
“Aren’t you pregnant Mrs Buchanan?”
Sam head whipped over to their direction, obviously shocked.
“Yes, I am. Bo and I just found out. That made us think the his fertility test he had when we were trying to have Matthew was wrong, so we had a DNA done. Randy has the official sealed test results there in his hands.”
Randy handed over the envelope.
“This is ridiculous, you can’t just test my son without asking?”
“Mr. Rappaport I think you should stay quiet, you haven’t been part of his life so I don’t think you have a say on any test performed on him. Now sit down and shut up. I am going to my private chambers and read these over. But if they do indeed prove Bo Buchanan as the biological father, you have lost any rights Mr. Rappaport.”
Nora smiled as Sam sat down. The judge left to read the results. After the judge left Sam stood staring Bo and Nora down.
“You two think you just got your perfect dream don't you?I will contest this test.”
“With what Sam? A new test, it will prove that Bo is Matthew’s father again. Your bitch of an ex wife is the reason this happened. She was the one that screwed with the test.”
Sam didn’t looked shocked at all.
“Oh my God, you knew! You knew that Bo could father children and that she messed with test didn’t you!”
“What? You are crazy! You came to me!”
“Out of pure desperation! I was out of my mind, you should have turned me down, you knew I wasn’t thinking right. Oh, you and Lindsay planned this.”
“You have no proof.”
“I don’t need any! Your face is telling me.”
Nora felt Bo hand squeeze her.
“Red calm down. The baby won’t like you being this upset.”
“But Bo.”
“Shh, it ok. He can’t hurt us anymore.”
Bo kissed her hair. Nora took some deep breaths and calmed herself. The judge entered the room and Sam sat down again.
“I have confirmed the validity of the test. Mr. Buchanan I am signing an order that will change Matthew Buchanan’s birth certificate naming you as his father.”
Nora laughed and turned to Bo, hugging him tight.
“Mr. Rappaport I suggest you never make kind of contact with Buchanan family again.”
“Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan.”
Both of them thanked him. He stood and left. Sam looked at them with daggers, he stood and violently pushed his chair in as he left, he lawyer followed behind him.  Bo was the first to stand up, they thanked Randy. He gave a heartfelt congrats and left. Nora kissed Bo.
“Take me home cowboy, I am ready for you to fulfill that promise you have me earlier.”
Bo grabbed her hand and practically ran to their car.

Chapter 31
1 year later.
“Matthew buddy you ready?”
“Yeah, but I can’t find my shoes!”
Nora laughed.
“Did you look in the closet.”
A minute later he responded back that he had found them.
“Something never change do they Miss Jenna.”
Jenna smiled up at her mother as Nora changed her clothes. Bo came out of the bathroom looking handsome in his suit.
“How are my girls? About ready?”
“Almost, you better double check on your son.”
Bo laughed.
“Wouldn’t want him to leave the house with his pants wrong side out again would we?”
Bo walked over to where Nora was standing. He kissed Nora then leaned down to Jenna kissing her nose.
“No, we definitely don’t want your brother to do that again, no matter how funny it maybe.”
Jenna giggled. Bo left the room, Nora could here him and Matthew talking a minute later.
Nora picked up Jenna and headed downstairs. Bo turned and really looked at her.
“Wow! Red you look amazing.”
“Well for such a special occasion I should!”
He smiled and took Jenna from her. She got her her coat and purse.
“We all ready? Where is Matthew?”
“Right her mom. I am ready.”
Nora put her hand out, Matthew took it. The family headed out for their big night.

Twenty minutes later the family walked into their destination. Nora looked down at Matthew.
“You ready honey.”
Matthew smiled really big.
“Yes mommy I am really ready.”
Bo took one of Matthew’s hand and Nora took the other. They opened the door and walked into the courtroom. In there was all their family. Matthew face was shining as they approached the front. The judge was standing there.
“Matthew Buchanan?”
“Yes!”
“I have your birth certificate here and I am here to make it official that your dad will be Bo Buchanan. Are you ready to accept this new birth certificate?
“Yes, I want daddy to be my daddy for real!”
Everybody laughed.
The judge put the paper down on the desk.
“First I will need both of your parents to sign it.”
Nora took the pen and signed her name. Then she took Jenna from Bo and he signed it.”
Nora was fighting her tears as Matthew watched with excitement. After Bo signed Matthew wrapped his arms around Bo. The judge then signed.
“Matthew Buchanan I am now presenting your official birth certificate with Bo Buchanan as your father.”
Matthew took the certificate and looked at it like was the most precious thing in the world.
“Dad, you’re my dad!”
Bo picked him up and kissed Matthew. The family all clapped.
Matthew looked at everybody.
“Let’s party.”
Nora laughed. Bo put Mathew down taking the birth certificate from him.
“I’ll keep it real safe buddy.”
“Ok.”
“Everybody can come to our house if they want. We have food and drink there.”

Nora spent most of her time with Rachel and her new grandbaby Sami. Jenna and Sami were fascinated with each other. It made both Rachel and Nora laugh. Nora also watched as Matthew made his rounds explaining to everybody that his dad was really his dad now. It made her heart filled with so much happiness.

The night finally wound down. Nora and Bo were getting both kids ready for bed. Nora walked out with a PJ clad Jenna, she walked into Matthew’s bedroom where Bo was reading to him. Nora sat in the chair and rocked Jenna, listening to Bo read.  Nora felt the baby fall asleep in her arms. She watched Matthew’s eyes grow heavy, finally he also fell asleep. Bo put the book down and gently got up. Nora stood as well. Bo tucked Matthew in and kissed his forehead, Nora followed suit. Bo  put his arm around her waist as they headed to the Jenna’s room. Nora gently laid her in the crib, she kissed her, Bo kissed Jenna next. They headed to their room.
Nora kissed Bo’s cheek then headed to the bathroom to get ready for bed. She exited the bathroom undressing, she went to grab her her night gown, Bo put his hands on hers, stopping her. He pulled her to him kissing her sensually. Nora moaned and pulled away.
“Well, daddy how does it feel?”
“Amazing. It is so hard to believe that this is all mine. Two perfect kids and a perfect wife. I am so lucky.”
Nora put her forehead on his.
“We all are Bo.”
Bo kissed her again, gently bring her body close to his.
“I love you Red.”
Nora sighed and looked into his eyes.
“I love you Bo. I love our life.”
“Me too Red.”
Bo pushed her on the bed kissing her as they started to make love.
