Chapter 19

Bo and Nora look up, Violet was there pointing a gun at them. They scramble to stand. Bo pushed Nora behind him.

“Violet put the gun down.”
“Why on earth would I do that? I told her to leave! I knew you’d do this, she seduced you again. You can’t resist her, you are mine and she keeps trying to take you away.”
“Violet, we found Nora’s letters and the pictures.”
Violets face gets very red with anger.
“THOSE WERE MINE!”
“No, they weren’t Violet. Nora sent them to me, your actions made me lose precious years with my son and Nora.”
“Oh please, you didn’t want that kid.”
“Of course I do. He’s mine, I love him.”
She get upset starts to wave the gun.

“YOU HAVE ME!”

Nora puts her arms around Bo as his reach for her behind him.

“YOU! You stole my man! I had to take him back! Then you had to get knocked up didn’t you. AH! I did what I had too.”

Violet pointed the gun at them.

“Let her go Bo.”
“NO!”
“See that has always been our issue Bo, you wouldn’t let her go, even after all these years.”

Violet turned the gun towards herself.

“VIOLET DON’T”
Nora closed her eyes and buried her face in his back holding him close she heard the gun go off.  It was silent. Nora gripped Bo to her.
“She’s dead honey.”

She kissed his back. Bo gently removed Nora’s arms from his waist.

“I need to call the station.”

Nora nodded. She looked as saw Violet’s body lying motionless on the floor. She walked over to Bo who was on the phone. He took her into his arms. She put her head on his chest listening to his heart. She loved that sound, it brought her comfort. She closed her eyes and just listened to it. Bo got off the phone he kissed her hair.

“Red we need to dress, the officers will be here soon.”

She let go of him, they kissed gently. Nora found her clothes and dress, she trying not to look at Violet. She got back to the office finding Bo sitting on the couch looking at Violet. She walked over and kissed his head.

“I don’t know how I missed it Red. She was so crazy.”
“Bo she took advantage of you at your lowest moments. Your mother’s death, and when that didn’t work she took what was most important to you. Bo did you actually love her?”
Bo looked at his hands. He whispered.

“No, she was just someone I could use to distract me from losing you. I just wish I would have realized what she was sooner.”

Nora looked out the window as she heard the sirens. She saw them approaching. She went to the door and let the police in.

They took their statements. They watched the coroner take her body. Nora thanked the officers. She walked back in, she found him back in the office. Looking at the pictures Violet had.

“I can’t believe I missed this Red. We could had such an amazing life.”

“Bo we still can.”
Bo looked at her and smiled, he took her hand and kissed it.
“Red, lets get out of this house and find our son.”
She kissed him. They walked out of Bo’s house hand in hand.
