Chapter 1
“No! That contract is not what we asked for Terry, I suggest you go back to your office and put in what we asked. Otherwise my clients aren’t going to sign.”
“Come on Nora, it is pretty close.”
“Close isn’t good enough.”
Nora smiled as she saw Terry sighed and stand.

“I don’t care, just get right this time.”
“I don’t care, just get right this time.”
Terry growled and left her office. Nora laughed and shook her head. She frowned when she looked back down at all the paperwork on her desk. How did she get so far behind, it’s not like she had a social life keeping her busy. That thought caused her heart to hurt. She still missed Bo so much, but she had no one but herself to blame.
He mind when back to a year ago when she made the worst mistake of her life. She had been desperate and scared. She ran to Sam, she barely remembered that night, mostly because she didn’t want to remember it. What she did remember was closing her eyes and trying to pretend Sam was Bo, it didn’t work. When she realized she was still not pregnant a month later she knew it was time to tell Bo the truth about the baby and Sam.
She shook her head, she had no desire to remember that night. She began to work to get her mind off her heartbreak.
Chapter 2
The Palace was quiet when she walked in for dinner. The hostess sat her off to the corner, she like this table she could quietly observe the other dinners. As she waited for her food watched the people. Her eyes caught something in the corner. She turned, her heart dropped. It was Bo, with Lindsay Rappaport. When the two have them got together she was positive it was just a violent reaction and payback for her sleeping with Sam, but after all these months he remained with a women who despised her. It hurt. She tried to turn before they saw her, but her and Bo’s eyes meet. She felt her heart race as she saw the look in his eyes. The look he had given to her when they were married, but a split second later his eyes turned cold and hard as he remembered what she had done. Nora turned her face quickly, not wanting him to see how much he still affected her.
Her food arrived, she ate quickly not wanting to see or talk to the couple. She paid and headed to the ladies room. She splashed water on her face trying to keep herself calm. The door opened as she was using the towel on her face.
“Hello Nora.”
She mentally groaned.

“Lindsay.”
“Eating alone?”
“Yes.”
Lindsay made a fake sad face.
“Yes.”

“So sad for you. I am so lucky to have Bo, he is an amazing man. But you know that don’t you.”
“What do you want Lindsay?”
Lindsay gave a nasty little smile.
“What do you want Lindsay?”
Lindsay gave a nasty little smile.
“To let you know you lost.” She lifted her hand show a ring. Nora nearly lost the dinner she just ate. “He proposed last night and I said yes.”
“Congratulations.”
Nora went to leave.

“Oh you didn’t hear the best part Nora.” Nora closed her eyes, she didn’t want to hear this. “I am pregnant.”
Nora felt like she had just been punched in the stomach. She leaned against the counter. She could feel Lindsay's triumphant glare.
“Bye Nora, you lose.”
Lindsay left her in the bathroom. Nora closed her eyes trying not crying. Lindsay was getting her husband, her child, her life. The woman who made sure Bo found out about Sam and her not being pregnant before she had the chance. Ensuring Bo would be hurt in the worst possible way, was getting her life. Nora began to sob, unable to fight the heartbreak she was feeling. After a several minutes she was able to gather herself. She took a deep breath and walked out.

“I hear congratulations are in order.”
“Yes.”
Nora didn’t know what to say, she wanted to tell him Lindsay was an awful woman and to run, but she had not rights. Besides he’d never listen to her. She saw the car approach.

“You’ll be a wonderful father Bo.”
“Thank you.”
The valet handed her the keys. Nora took them, she hesitated. She turned towards him, he looked worn down, he didn’t look a man who just found out he was going to be a dad and just got engaged. She gave him a small smile then walked over to him give a small kiss on the cheek. She went to back up, but Bo pulled her to him kissing her cheek too. She felt the familiar flush and flutter of the heart of being near him. She backed up when he let her go a second later. She looked in his eyes, they seemed so lost.
