Charade Chapter 3

Chapter 3
Nora walked up the door of their house. She took a deep breath, it was time. She needed to tell him the awful truth. The door opened, she stopped when she saw Lindsay walk out.
“Nora.”
“Lindsay? What are doing here?”
Lindsay smiled.
“Giving you want you deserve.”
“What?”
Lindsay left without saying anything else.
Nora walked into her house, Bo wasn’t in the living room.
“Bo?”
She heard something upstairs so she headed up there. She walked into their bedroom, which was torn up. Bo was in the middle digging through his dresser.
“Bo?”
Bo stopped, but didn’t look at her.
“Bo what is going on?”
He still didn’t answer her.
“Honey, I need to talk to you.”
“You mean to tell me that you are not pregnant and that you slept with Sam.”
Nora felt the air escape her lungs. Bo looked up finally, she nearly wept from the look he was giving her. Hate, it was the look of hate.
“Is that why you needed to tell me? I already know. I was just packing and leaving.”
“Bo, I.”
“YOU WHAT? You LIED and CHEATED!”
Bo violently threw clothes into the case on the bed.
“I am sorry, I.”
“No Nora, I don’t want to hear it. I don’t want to hear it. I am so angry right now. I thought you we were special Nora. That we were untouchable, I was so stupid.”
“No Bo. Please I love you so much.”
Bo grabbed his case laughing.
“You love me? That is why you cheated on me?” Then he took a deep breath. “And the baby? Why would you lie about having a baby?”
“I needed you to come home.”
“So you are blaming me?”
“No, I was scared Bo.”
Bo scoffed and started to leave Nora followed behind him.
“Bo please stop, please let me explain. Sam meant nothing, it was one awful night.”
Bo opened to door, then turned.
“The worst part is you didn’t have the courage to tell me, I had to hear it from someone else. Thank God for Lindsay, otherwise who know how long you go making me into a fool.” With that Bo walked out. Nora felt her heartbreaking.
“PLEASE BO!”
Bo got in the car and left. Nora collapsed on the lawn as her body gave out. She lost him. Two days later Nora received the divorce papers. She signed them, she had no right to him anymore. Two weeks later Nora found out Bo’s test results were not correct, he could have children. Everything she had done wasn’t even necessary, which made her heart break even more.

Nora sat in the driveway of the house, she remained there even after their divorce. She couldn’t let it go, it was the only part of Bo she still had. He never came back to the house, not even to get the rest of his things. She sighed and went into the house, she went upstairs and into their closet where his clothes still hung. She leaned against the door, she closed her eyes wishing that she was able to move on like he had.
