Chapter 11
Bo opened his eyes, he smiled as he remembered where he was. He reached over for her only to find her side empty. He got out the bed and headed towards the living room, she wasn’t there either. Then he walked into the kitchen and found a note.
Commish-
I think the universe is conspiring against us. I got a call from my firm they need to meet a client in Harrisburg. I won’t be back till Tuesday.
Red.
P.S. I think you fell asleep before you heard my response. I love you too
Bo smiled. She loved him, the nothing in the world could be better. He looked around her kitchen for food, nothing.
Well Buchanan it isn’t like we're interested in her cooking skills.
He needed to go to work anyways make sure everything was in order with the Reed case. He need to go home and get ready first, nothing like going back into the station wearing the same clothes.
Bo opened Nora’s door and made sure it was locked. Mrs. Zeller was walking down the sidewalk just as he was walking out. He could hear her mumbling.
“disgusting a public servant spending the night with a woman like that. disgusting people with their unmarried .. should be ashamed.”
Bo just smiled as he walked towards his car.
Bo just smiled as he walked towards his car.
Bo walked into the station an hour later showered and a change of clothes.
“Hey boss. Mike Gordy is in your office wanting to talk to you.”
Bo groaned he hated talking the former police commissioner, he wasn’t a pleasant man. Bo hated the way he had ran the station. Bo really cleaned the place up when he got the job. He took a deep breath and walked in.
“Mike what can I do for you today?”
“Is it true you let some hot shot lawyer have access to the Parcel case?”
“Yes I did, standard procedure for the defendant's lawyer or in this case his family’s lawyer.”
“He’s been dead for years what does this girl lawyer want with it anyways?”
Bo didn’t like that one bit.

“First of all the lawyer is a woman not a girl and she is top in her field. Second of all I don’t see why it matters to you.”
“Girls pretending to be lawyers will not get any respect from me and she is probably only top of her field because she lifts her skirts.”
That was it for Bo he stood up quickly.

“Get out of here Mike. If you can’t treat someone who works with my department with the respect she deserves you are not welcome in this office.”
“What you screwing her? That bitch is trying to take me out.”
“LEAVE MY OFFICE NOW!”
“What you screwing her? That bitch is trying to take me out.”
“LEAVE MY OFFICE NOW!”
Mike pushed his chair as he got out of his stood. Bo was stood nearly growling as the older man started to leave.
“Cops protect other cops.”
“Not when those cops are dirty, get out of my station.”
Mike slammed the door as he left. Bo was seething. That son of bitch, him talking that way about any women who have pissed Bo off, but the fact is was Nora pushed him over the edge. Bo kicked his trash can trying release some of his anger. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
Then it hit him. Nora must be onto something, something big. Nothing brought Mike Gordy to the station, she must be close to something that spooked him. Bo put his hands over his face. They needed to finally have that talk about the Parcel case.
