Chapter 21

Bo drove all over town trying to find Nora. He was getting more desperate by the hour to find her. He couldn’t believe he just sat there after she told him they were having a baby. He could only imagine what she was thinking, which scared him. What if she thought he didn’t want her or that the baby was a deal breaker? He kept pushing the fear further down, he needed to find her.

He felt relief when he pulled up Roadies and saw her car.

He quickly parked then ran inside. He didn’t see her at first, but it was pretty packed. He went to the bartender that he knew pretty well.

“Mitch you seen Nora?”
“Last I saw her she was heading to the backroom.”
Bo nodded and headed that way. His heart was beating wildly, God he hoped she’d listen to him. He finally made his way back there, he saw her. His heart dropped, she was sobbing in the corner. Then he felt jealous rear it’s ugly head, a male patron was talking to her with his arms around her. Bo walked towards them, he could hear the man hitting on her.

“Sweetie whatever is wrong, I promise I can make you feel so much better. Why don’t you and I get out of here?”
“Please leave me alone.”
Bo smiled when he heard that.
“Come on honey, a beautiful woman like you shouldn’t be here crying alone.”
Bo go next to them.

“I believe she told you to leave her alone.”
The man and Nora looked up at him. Bo’s heart broke when he saw her face.

“Listen here buddy, this isn’t any of your business.”
“You need to take your hands of my pregnant girlfriend.”

The guy face whitened letting her go fast, he quickly stood up and practically ran out of the room. Bo sat next Nora he put his hand on her shoulder she quickly recoiled.

“Don’t touch me.”
“Red, please. I am sorry.”
She shook her head.

“You don’t want this do you?”
“Red, I don’t know.”

She began to cry harder. Bo couldn’t take it, he pulled her to him even though she protested.

“Please stop crying, we need to talk.”
“I won’t get rid of the baby Bo.”
Bo closed his eyes holding her tighter.

“I know that Red, I’d never ask you to do that, nor do I want that.”
“Should I move out?”
“NO!”
Nora jumped at his sudden loud voice.

“Sorry Red. Please don’t move out. I love you and I can’t live without you.”

Nora sniffed and began to calm down.

“What do you want Bo?”
“I want the love of my life to come home with me and talk to me about this.”
“I tried to and you just sat there.”
“I was shocked Red, I mean really shocked. I guess I never thought it would happen to us this soon, maybe in a few years after we were married and ready.”
“It is happening now Bo.”
“I know. And I can’t lie, I am scared and I am worried. I honestly don’t know if I am ready to be a dad. Like you said, we just started this relationship. We haven’t even discussed marriage or children. All I know is that I love you.” He kissed her temple “And that we will make great parents even if we aren’t ready.”
Nora moved so that she was facing him, her face red from her crying. She smiled at him.

“You think so?”
Bo kissed her on the lips.

“I know so. Red you have such a big heart.” He put his hand over her’s then put over her stomach. “And I know I love will love this child because it is ours that we created from our love.”
She gave him a full fledged smile.

“I am so frightened Bo.”
Bo put his forehead on hers.
“Me too, but we are together in this. We can do anything together.”
She sighed and nodded. Bo stood keeping her hands in his, he helped her stand.

“Now, let’s go home.” Bo kissed her. “I want to make love to you, then we can talk about our baby.”
Nora nuzzled his face with hers.

“Our baby, that has a nice ring to it.”
Bo put his arm around her shoulders and started to guide her out of the bar.

“It does, doesn’t it?”
