Chapter 3

Bo looked around the room, the party had been going on for and hour, no sight of Nora yet. He sighed.

“Bo!”
“Renee.”
Bo hugged her.

“Who are looking for?”
“Oh, I was just looking.”
Renee narrowed her eyes.

“Bo Buchanan you can’t fool me. Who is she?”
Bo sighed.

“Umm Nora Hanen.”
Renee smile grew.

“So you finally met the lovely Miss. Hanen. I was wondering when that would happen.”
“I meet her today.”
“She worked her charms on you too.”
He scoffed.

“What? No. I just knew she didn’t know many people and thought this would be a great place for her meet people.”
“Mmmhmm. I am sure you didn’t notice how attractive she was either.”
“Uhh. I may have noticed. I mean I am a man.”
“You know, when I started get to know Nora I thought she’d be perfect for you. But I wanted to see what would happen first, being a lawyer I’d knew she meet you sooner or later.”
Bo adjusted his tie.

“Really?”
“Oh yeah, but you may want to keep her away from your Pa.”
Bo looked at her confused.

“Pa? Why?”
“Because she is feisty and just as stubborn as him, they’ll be fighting two seconds after meeting each other.”

Bo smiled thinking about it, then something caught his eyes. Nora was here. Renee followed his eyes.

“Well there is the lovely Miss Hanen. I think I’ll go talk to some other people for awhile.”

Renee walked by him and gently pushed him in Nora’s direction. Bo made his way towards Nora. She saw him and smiled. He felt his heart beat a little faster. She looked amazing. He finally got up to her.

“Wow. You look amazing. You just had this outfit in your closet?”
Nora laughed.

“I can’t lie. Renee invited me two weeks ago.”
Bo was a little surprised.

“Why didn’t you tell me?”
She smiled and moved closer to him.

“Because if you knew Renee asked me, you wouldn’t know I came here to be with you.”
Bo heart speed up. He smiled at her and put his hand out.

“Would you liked to dance?”

She took his hand and moved even closer.

“I’d love to dance.”
Bo moved her to the dance floor. She fit perfectly into his arms. The floated across the floor. Bo felt his heart floating as well.

The chatted as they danced. She was very funny and brilliant. He had never meet anyone this intelligent before, he loved it. He couldn’t pull anything, she caught on to everything. They finally stopped dancing when it was announced the food would be coming out. They held each other hands as they moved towards the dining area.

“Bo!”
Bo looked and groaned internally.

“Jennifer.”

“Hey Bo, I didn’t know you’d be here!”
“I always come to these, part of the job.”
“Oh, umm you want to eat dinner together?”
Bo pulled Nora to him, Jennifer looked at Nora, her eyes went directly to their clasped hands.

“I’m going to be eating with Nora. Have you meet Nora?”
“Uh, no.”
Nora put her hand out.

“Nora Hanen.”
Jennifer took Nora’s hand but looked disgusted.

“Jennifer Morgan.”
“It’s lovely to meet you.”
“Yeah. Well I better get going. Nice seeing you.”
Bo sighed and rolled his eyes as Jennifer left. He put Nora's hand over his heart.

“Thank you!”
Nora giggle.

“I didn’t do anything.”
“Yes you did, if you hadn’t agreed to come here with me I’d be stuck with Jennifer right now. Trust me when I say she isn’t the conversationalist you are.”
“She has a crush on you.”
“Yeah, for years, I can’t get her to leave me alone.”
“Maybe you just need to have a girlfriend, then she’d leave alone.”
Bo moved close to her.
“Maybe I should find a girlfriend.”
“Wonder where you can find one of those?”
Bo looked around then met her eyes.

“I am sure I can find one soon.”
Nora smile grew.

“I am sure, very soon.”
Bo couldn’t look away from her. He finally started to move towards their table again. This night was turning out better than he even imagined.
